... Mallon would awake in a strange room- four gray stone walls surrounded them, and a stone floor, with a clear glass ceiling showing various stars and galaxies above. It would be almost beautiful, if not for the circumstances. The room itself was mostly featureless, just the four walls with no decor... And seemingly no exit?? Mallon sat along the wall of the room, a migraine fading from their head as they woke up. The tingling was gone, and they had full control over their body. Both of their hands were chained tightly to the stone wall behind them. There was a man in the room. With black hair and green highlights- shaved on one side with an intricate pattern. Their eyes were dark voids, besides one pinprick of white, glowing light. He wore a flowing open robe, green pants, and green dress shoes. His body was riddled with red scars-.. Burns, maybe? His right arm was bandaged up and shaking terribly, along with his left shoulder. His entire gray outfit was stained with blood. As Mallon stirred, he looked over with a slightly pained expression. He slowly began to walk toward them, bandaged hand shaking so bad he had to stabilize it with the other. "Hoyseksagu." He spoke. He sounded like the last voice they had heard before they were transported away. @em | mallon 🎣 + kenji 🌒

Mallon’s essentially been kidnapped for the second time in their life (in only a matter of a few weeks) so, naturally, when they wake up and don’t see either the dull harbor waters or the wooden dock, they’re of course immediately threatened. As soon as they notice the change in environment they’re shooting up to their feet, teeth bared with a deep guttural snarl. As soon as they notice the person in front of them they’re lunging forward, shells rippling across their face and upper arms. As soon as they notice the chains on their wrists— Well. They… They don’t notice. That is until they’re violently yanked backwards, with a harsh scrape of metal against shell. Knocked flat to the ground with a sharp yelp Mallon immediately lunges back to their feet as they try to wrestle their way out of the chains one way or another. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Narrowly avoiding Mallon's thrashing, Rakin forced his shaking hand on to Mallon's head and sent a shock through their body. He lunged back out of their reach and sharply inhaled. "W-welcome. Please calm yourself." Rakin spoke. @em | mallon 🎣 + kenji 🌒

Rakin’s lucky he gets out of their reach right away, as Mallon’s first instinct is to lunge at his retreating hand. Their jaw snaps shut on air audibly. They yank hard on one of the chains in lieu of a reply, a low growl building in their chest as their eye glows faintly. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"I would recommend you calm down." Rakin repeated. @em | mallon 🎣 + kenji 🌒

“Why,” Mallon snarls abruptly, baring their teeth once more and throwing down the chain they’re holding. They let it jangle loudly next to them as their gaze locks on to Rakin. The shells have spread, covering half their face and most of their limbs. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Because if you hurt me-" Rakin paused and held his hand up in the air. It was still shaking. A bolt of lightning struck his hand, and within his grasp appeared an old, just slightly tattered viol case.. "I would hate for something to happen to this." @em | mallon 🎣 + kenji 🌒

Rather than freeze, or outburst, instead a slow, tense still settles over Mallon, every inch of their body taut like a predator about to pounce. “How do you have that,” they growl—even thought they’ve clearly immediately recognized the case, their piercing, unblinking gaze never breaks from Rakin’s to look at it. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Well, you left it behind when you were transported here, I figured you'd want it here. So I zapped it up before that weird shark girl of yours could get it." Rakin said and lowered the viol case down to settle in both hands. He slowly began to open the case. @em | mallon 🎣 + kenji 🌒

One of Mallon’s earfins flicks at the mention of Hannah, the tiniest crack in their composure, but their focus has hardly faded. They take a slow, single step forward. All they can really do right now is watch, and wait. It’s in their instinct, after all—despite the rage beginning to simmer in their stare. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Ah, ah, ah, you'd be best to stay back." Rakin said and opened the case fully. Of course, the viol was entirely undamaged. He ran his unbandaged hand across the instrument, with a certain tenderness but not nearly the amount Ekmeros would have given it. "This is a beautiful viol. I'd play a song for you if I had a seat to sit on." @em | mallon 🎣 + kenji 🌒

Mallon just barely holds back the growl building in their chest as Rakin lifts the viol out of the case. It’s a relief to see it undamaged, at least, but it’s a very small comfort compared to the entirety of their situation. “It is not yours to play,” they snap, still unmoving. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Oh, but I think it is." Rakin said, crouching down to set the case on the floor. He hummed a little tune to himself as he grasped the bow. "You know, the man who is responsible for this viol transferring ownership is here as well. I figured a little reunion between you two might be nice, wouldn't you think?" @em | mallon 🎣 + kenji 🌒

Rakin picks up the bow and Mallon twitches almost imperceptibly. They’re still restraining themself, but it’s getting harder and harder, and they’re about to snap something back in reply when— For the first time since the viol appeared, their unblinking stare slowly swivels away from it to lock on to Rakin’s instead. “What.” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Oh, I think you know exactly who I mean. I can grab anyone from any universe, so finding another Yeonaixho and bringing him here.. Well, it was nothing." @em | mallon 🎣 + kenji 🌒

Universe isn’t exactly a word Mallon is all too familiar with. Yeonaixho, on the other hand…. Their fists clench, nails digging into their palms so hard their hands are shaking. “Let me go.” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Let you go to do what exactly..? I am not sure you've taken a look around you long enough to notice there is no exit for you." @em | mallon 🎣 + kenji 🌒

“I do not care,” they bite out, taking another step forward and gritting their teeth. “You brought me here. You let me go.” They don’t answer his question. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"You're more than welcome to try to break out of the chains on your own." Rakin said. He took out the bow and held it up, looking at all the fine hairs that made up the string. "This looks much sturdier than the ones I'm used to." @em | mallon 🎣 + kenji 🌒

Mallon huffs in annoyance, but if that’s apparently what will get them out of here without hurting the viol, then fine. They step back a little bit, before wrapping one of their hands around each chain and yanking at the same time. The chains snap taunt with a creaking groan but ultimately don’t budge. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Hm. About what I expected." Rakin said and continued looking at the bow. "You must still be tired from your swim. You traveled quite a distance.." @em | mallon 🎣 + kenji 🌒

Mallon glares at Rakin, but there is a bit of truth to what he’s saying now that they’re not running solely on pure adrenaline and fear any more. Without replying they try again. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

“Not to you,” Mallon growls, half under their breath. Their skin ripples, shells covering their arms, and they yank the chains forward again. This time, thought, they pull them down against the shells, the materials grating horribly against each other before the metal gives way with a sharp crack. With the shorter bits still dangling from the cuffs at their wrists, Mallon immediately lunges for the case. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

As Mallon charged toward them, Rakin tried to reach out his bandaged hand to intercept them, but it seemed to miss terribly. @em | mallon 🎣 + kenji 🌒

Luckily for Rakin, Mallon seems to completely disregard him. They grab the case, snap it shut, then retreat all in one fluid movement, holding it protectively in their arms. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Unfortunately, Mallon wouldn't get long to savor the viol. Rakin pushed himself up and rushed over to them, placing his hand on the back of their head. A sharp bolt of electricity went through them, knocking them out and sending the viol case skidding across the stone floor. @em | mallon 🎣 + kenji 🌒
