Right next to the beautiful and tropical #palm-trees, there was a little common space made up of sand on the ground, rocks, and vine hammocks tied up to said rocks. Overall, just a place to chill and relax. There were two hammocks here, but more could probably get put up.

Theora, already standing, looked around the immediate area, pacing - a better word would be storming, really - around as she yelled, "Where is he?!" She kicked one of the rocks, her yell a mix of anger and pain because. Kicked rock. She's so normal about this.

Having left the palm trees, the pair found themselves in one of the common areas. Seeing no one around, Isabelle let out a sigh as she resisted the urge to rest in a hammock. "You holding up alright Cane? I figure this weather is less than agreeable for you. Especially with that coat." @Scream | Cane + Uly

Cane marched along, quiet, only speaking up when Isabelle called out to him. “Believe it or not the cloak shields my skin from this unfortunate weather. Stuffy? Perhaps, but still more comfortable. What about yourself?” It was then that he realized that he did not know much about his comrade outside of formalities. For all he knew, Isabelle could be dying on the inside under this unforgiving sun. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

She's certainly dying on the inside, but not on the outside. "I live by this climate, I'm fine. Although these sleeves are starting to annoy me." She took a stretch. "What is considered fortunate for you?" @Scream | Cane + Uly

“Water.” Cane answered simply as he tilted his mask down at her. Yellow eyes with slit pupils peered through the darkness at his newfound ally. It seemed as though his ‘cultural decoration’ was doubling as sunglasses for the time being. However, it still made it hard to tell exactly what his intentions were. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"W... water?" Isabelle stopped, looking at Cane and almost... studying him. "So your home planet is an ocean? Has an ocean-" She trailed off, unsure as sh tried to visualize both possiblities. @Scream | Cane + Uly

“Ocean…Ocean…” Cane rolled the word around in his mouth, as if he was studying the word the same way Isabelle was now studying him. “—Mostly water, yes.” He concluded after a few moments. “How do you fare in the ocean?” @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Well then. Isabelle played herself. "I don't. I can swim but I try to avoid it as best I can." She shuddered at the thought of living under the sea. @Scream | Cane + Uly

"I personally avoid it. One of my many critical flaws. Oceanwater isn't safe for consumption anyhow. We have to seek freshwater elsewhere, as well as processing it for consumption. Other animals generally fare fine with freshwater but humans, terrans have grown accustom to processing it. It's a lot to understand, I'm sure." She shrugged, taking a seat at one of the hammocks, swaying as she looked down at the sand. "It's honestly kind of pathetic. I hail from an island and I'm scared of swimming in the ocean." @Scream | Cane + Uly

"Hmmm." Cane's voice echoed from underneath his mask as he attempted to process the information Isabelle was feeding it. It was not pertinent to their ongoing investigation, but he would be lying if he said it was not interesting. This was his first up-close encounter with a Terran after all, and this one did not immediately try to capture and/or kill him. That on its own would be a lot to take in, but then again so was being abducted. "In another life, perhaps I could have shown you how to brave that dangerous water. Something tells me this place--wherever we are--has some dangerous waters of its own. To be honest, I was half-expecting that 'coco nut' water to end me, but I appear to be tougher than I thought." @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"I don't... know about that." She referred to the braving dangerous waters bit. "So... assuming you're under the water, would that mean you are fish like in appearance? Aquatic features, like fins and scales and stuff-" @Scream | Cane + Uly

Cane tilted his head just barely. Even with his masked visage, it was easy to read that he found Isabelle’s question interesting. “Fish? Are you asking if I look like that crab?” If Isabelle was paying close enough attention, she might detect some amusement in his tone. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"That's a crustacean." She clarified almost immediately before letting out a laugh of his own. "Not quite the same. Extremely different even." She got off of the hammock and crouched on the ground, drawing in the sand with her finger. It's kinda decent, and in the vague shape of a cartoony fish. @Scream | Cane + Uly

“Crustacean.” Cane repeated as he watched Isabelle draw in the sand. “There are those on my planet, yes.” Squatting down so that he was on her level, Cane extended a finger and added an extra set of eyes to the fish. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"I see. So youuuuu don't have fins?" She asked curiously. She drew an arrow pointing at the fish's fin. @Scream | Cane + Uly

Cane pointed at the gills of the fish instead before looking to Isabelle to gauge their reaction. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"Interesting. I figured you'd be able to breathe underwater. Terrans can't. Most know better to go out in open ocean on their own because of it but many are afraid to even approach it. I believveeeeeee the word is thalassaphobia." She explained. She drew a little shoddy people and put some lungs in its chest. "We need open air to breathe. If enough water enters our lungs we die. Quite horribly might I add." @Scream | Cane + Uly

Cane continued to play his cards close to his chest. "If you are worried about me dying from too much heat in my lungs, I will survive." He spoke, talking about the climate and not literal fire in one's chest. Although, that would also classify as a horrible way to die. "We can survive in both worlds." He circled both the person and the fish. "It makes us Ser quite adept at hunting, amongst other things." Almost as if on queue, the slit pupils hidden behind his mask widened, becoming opal in shape. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Isabelle looked him in the eyes curiously. Inchresting. "I meant it quite literally. Our lungs are not meant to support water. They have to intake oxygen or else we stop breathing." She almost appreciated his... optimism? realism? Well whatever it was. "We require machinery to dive into the depths. But even after millenia, we still don't know what lies in our own oceans." @Scream | Cane + Uly

"You might find one of us down there." Cane commented ominously as he pushed off of his knee and stood back up. Taking a moment to gather his bearings, the masked man looked to his left, then his right, followed by his flank only to end up back looking at his new ally. "From what you have told me, I hope none of your friends got dropped into a body of water. Do you have any way to contact them?" @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Isabelle sighed, spreading her hand across the sand to rub out the drawings. "From the looks of it, that stream is the only body of water out here... but I can't be sure. And I cannot contact them. Pretty sure that if Froggy didn't take my phone I dropped it when I was taken." @Scream | Cane + Uly

"Hm." Cane hummed as he considered what to do next. After a brief delay, he crossed his arms over his chest and nodded in the opposite direction with his head. "Do you think we could cover more ground if we split up? It is more risky, but it could be worth it." @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Isabelle hesitated before nodding. "You're right. It's probably better to cover as much ground as possible. My friends... one is a woman, very pale with dark hair. The others are men, one with blue hair that probably looks angry, anxious, or probably both, and the other has yellow hair and is very wide." Good job describing them me. @Scream | Cane + Uly

"I will try my best to remember that. Unfortunately, I do not have any friends here that I know of." Before the emptiness of his sentence could set in, Cane continued. "We should meet back up at the...The trees, with the coconuts." He awkwardly suggested. With how fluent his Terran-speak was, it was not exactly perfect. "Mala king amin. "Thank you... in advance. Let's find out what the fuck is going on here." She smiled awkwardly. "I look forward to seeing you again. Mala king amin." She didn't know the gesture so she just... winged it and did a polite bow. Also her pronunciation could've been a little better. @Scream | Cane + Uly

Cane let out a soft laugh. "The response would be Amin mali king." He corrected before adding. "It means 'and safety with you'." And that was the perfect way to end their adventure together, for the time being at least. An awkward parting for a truly awkward pairing. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

From a distance, Celena coughed as she pushed herself up from the sand. God, she hated sand. It was coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it got everywhere. Annoying. The heat was rough, but she didn't mind it all too much. Some heat was something she was used to. It was somewhat nice, actually. A familiar intense warmth. Glancing around her surroundings, she took note of what was nearby and- Oh, who was nearby. There was a woman a good distance away. "Hello?" Isabelle almost got startled having heard another person. It seems they had just appeared since they were not there when the pair arrived. "Hi?" She looked towards Celena before taking a few steps toward her." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you, I just kind of-” Celena motioned with her finger up toward the sky. “Just dropped in right now, from- The sky. Yeah..” @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"It's alright.. It's just- this place was empty when I got here. At least you landed here and not in the water." Isabelle's clothes have kinda dried since the incident but there's still humidity trapped in places. "Are you okay?" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“With the heat, the water doesn’t seem too bad.” Celena brushed the sand off from her clothes. She was thankful she was already wearing loose clothing that fit the weather. “I’m okay, just- A bit rattled, but fine.” She cleared her throat and held out a hand towards Isabelle. “I’m Celena.” @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"Isabelle." She responded promptly. "I suppose it depends on your clothing material." She put her hands on her hips. Girl was wearing pants and a turtleneck she might be boiling. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“Yeah, you must be having a rough time,” Celena cleared her throat once more, somewhat awkwardly. She glanced around the area. “.. When I got teleported in, I didn’t expect to be sent to a nice enough place like this..” @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Ip sighs. "I've been through much worse." She listened to Celena as she started to pace slowly. "Worse places to die out there. Speaking of which... did someone tell you we're all supposed to die?" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"That we're supposed to die in order to help resurrect an intelligent species that was killed off a long time ago? Yeah. I was told about that." Celena sighed. (edited)

“Well, Rakin told me.” Celena began to walk toward a spot that had some shade. “Rakin said that the Pilarians were wiped out by another species called the Galleons and a traitorous Frogling King. Celena raised an eyebrow. "Cane?" "No, I wasn't. Only one of my hands was chained." The girl rubbed her right wrist. It still ached a little with how much she had tugged on it. "He was oddly willing to speak about their plans, as long as the questions were asked." @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"Cane... I ran into him as we both appeared around the same time. He's also from space so I might ask him if he knows of Rakin's history, and this Alrai Pin guy." She explained, grimacing at the mention of only one chain. "Fucking Errol... Rakin probably doesn't trust any of us after the first time. It was honestly unnecessary to chain me so aggressively, so many people attacked him that by the time he got to me he wasn't in a position to even stand. Probably wasn't gonna tell me anything, or else I'd have faced that Pin guy directly." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

From space, huh? It made sense, not all of the competitors would be from the same planet. “If he’s from space, chances are he may know. Definitely give him an update about this all, we could use some more answers.” “I guess getting attacked a lot is sort of what he gets for kidnapping us all,” Celena mumbled. “But that probably did make him less likely to talk. Isabelle nodded slowly, making a mental note to bring it up. "It only gives us more reason to try and stop him. We've... done it before." She moved over to the hammock again and sat down. "Some information is better than nothing." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Isabelle nodded. "Not quite as intergalactic, but yes. With a few key differences of course. It was on Earth, and somehow we all showed up willingly. Can't say that about this place." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Celena was doing her best to process this information. ".. I'm still- Confused about it- But if you guys were able to survive that, then it should be the same here.." She paused. "How did that one go, if you don't mind me asking..?" @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Oh you had to fucking ask- Isabelle let out a chuckle, then a laugh, then a cackle. Oh no. "It certainly went." Any sense of elegance or poise Ip had was a hair away from completely going out the window. "It's a miracle the ones that survived did. Most of them went missing and that was even without the whole underground power stealy and forced labor thing. Not to mention the fact that Master Chen invited literal children with malicious intent." Her laughter only grew with that statement. "We killed him, you know? Master Chen? His grand plan to use us all and take over were squashed. Just like that. With a wrestling move no one even uses anymore!" She stepped off of the hammock and got uncomfortably close to Celena. She is remembering so many bad things right now. "But I suppose that gives Rakin all the more reason to chain us down.... Errol fought tooth and nail to survive... Madison lost... so much." And Uly found out he was gay :> "And that was without the guy wanting us dead." She stepped back in a dramatic fashion, still chuckling under her breath. 'Chen? Like the noodle shop?' Celena wanted to ask that but there were certainly better things to comment on. The girl had backed away from Isabelle when she had gotten too close. She was still chuckling to herself, mumbling incoherently now as she was now spiraling. Thank you actual 0. If Celena listened closely she could make out certain phrases. It appears the implications have been thought of. "I... I don't know if I can do this again... I don't know if they can do this again... We have nothing to do with this stupid revenge plot anyways! At least Chen wanted to steal our powers. It... doesn't look like there's any kids here at least but who knows, maybe they just didn't take DJ of all kids and took others... that Nora looked pretty young and it seems like she's also been through somthing but it's not the same it can't be the same I can't do this again we got so far without shit hitting the fan again what is Devonte going to do if we don't come back what is Souma going to do... Sadly, Celena understood the Spanish that became Isabelle's rambling. She uncomfortably glanced around the common area, perhaps looking for an exit or for someone nearby for assistance. When she didn't see anyone, she knew that she had to just. Take care of this? "Hey, it'll be a okay," Celena spoke. "This won't be like how it was for you before, things will improve. It's a messy situation, but you'll be able to pull through, all of us will be able to-" Celena caught herself. This all felt a bit too fake positive. How the hell was she supposed to be positive about this? She wasn't one for speeches like this, not anymore, but- Part of her wanted to help. "Just- Try and stay strong, okay? It would take a little more force for her to calm down unfortunately, and it seems that she was still stuck in her little spiral. This is why you go to therapy Isabelle. “We don’t have to unpack anything,” Celena quickly said. “Trust me, it can stay packed. In fact, it’s stayed packed for years. It’s fine like that. Staying packed. Let’s keep it that way. Plus now- Definitely isn’t the time to do a deep dive into my brain.”

With a ZAP of lightning, a pile of ashes appeared in the area.. They were slightly smoldering but besides that.. just a regular pile of smokey gray ashes. Weird.

Food, water, food, water… foodwaterfoodwaterfoodwat- UGH!!!! BORING! Calamity had spent a good amount of time looking for something, anything to return to Moses with, but to no avail. Perhaps it was because she couldn’t be bothered to look very hard. It wasn’t her fault nothing caught her eye! That was, until she saw the hammocks. The demon sauntered over the two hammocks, and looked up and down the trees they were tied to, but there was still nothing. She did notice a girl as well, but as she shot her a fanged smile and started to open her mouth to say something, something caught in the corner of her eye. Ashes. It was not long until the demon was crouched over the pile of seemingly normal ashes, simply observing them, feeling just a bit more at home… @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺 @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

The ashes were lovely. The perfect, stereotypical, mound of gray dust. It smelled like a fireplace that you had just put out, but perhaps with a bit of sandalwood fragrance put in as well. As they were stared at, they began to shift around. There was no notable wind to cause this, just unexplainable swirling in a vortex pattern. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

Nora sat very still, like a rabbit under the eyes of a coyote. The person who approached seemed very scary, but luckily her attention was grabbed by something else. A pile of ash..? Was she moving it somehow?? @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽 @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Calamity was fixated on the ashes, simply watching as it swirled around with no sign of wind in sight. Her tail thumped up and down in amusement as she continued to survey the pile. There didn’t seem to be any sign of charred logs, so I definitely couldn’t be a conventional fire… With that, she clicked her tongue, snapping her clawed fingers so fast that her nails clicked together, but in no time a small pink flame was hovering over her hand. She held it near the ashes, but after still not getting conclusive evidence about what was burned, the flame faded. “Hey you! Witch-girl!” she called back to Nora. “Did you do this?” @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺 @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

As Calamity turned her attention away from the ashes, they seemed to flutter back down on to the ground pathetically. @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺 @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

She squeaked pathetically when the woman addressed her. “I- um- no! N-no. I-I didn’t know it was.. here until now…” @Morgan | Calamity + Julien @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

“Hmm,” Calamity clicked her tongue again and redirected her attention back to the pile of ashes. “So you just got here too?” this time, she didn’t turn to look at Nora, just in case the ashes were to disappear. They did stop moving… @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺 @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

As soon as Calamity was looking back at them, the ashes began to move. They swirled and swirled once again, becoming embers as they floated up in the air. They reached about the height of a person before they stopped rising, instead swirling faster around and letting off plumes of smoke. The smoke became so thick it was hard to see through, and just as soon as that happened, they lit on fire. It was hot, blinding orange and white flames were forming the outline of a human. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

Calamity’s question wouldn’t be answered for now, but once again, the demon kept her focus to the ash pile, no, the pillar of flames in front of her. It took only a few more seconds for the blinding flames to die out, revealing a woman underneath. She had dark wavy red hair with slight yellow streaks that and striking yellow eyes. Her outfit was pretty... hmm.. A small almost swimsuit like top, thigh high socks, and long boots. She also wore long red fingerless gloves with a few golden rings on her fingers. Some flames danced along her clothes, which she didn't bother putting out as she decided to stretch first. "Helloooooo~" She said and reached her arms up in the air. "What did I miss, dears? "Stuck here? Well, that simply won't do." She finally stopped her stretching and looked up at the ceiling. There was just stars.. She too drew a circle, right next to Aldreda’s, though hers was clearly a pentagram, which with a snap of the demon’s finger, glowed bright pink. “Nope! Doesn’t work. I suppose you’ll just have to deal with him wasting away without you, unless we can get this torture-fest done in a couple hours. Aldreda watched the pentagram glow. The symbol really didn't mean anything to her, but it looked cool! "I'm absolutely loving the pink flames! I can't believe I've never thought about that before. Calamity looked over at Aldreda and grinned. “Oh, I tried! He’s a stubborn one. I even asked him to keep torturing me, and he wouldn’t! Talk about a buzzkill…” To Nora’s comment, the demon’s grin turned into a thin line as she pressed her lips together. “Hm… fights you say? Interesting, interesting,” she hummed. Now that was yet another interesting torture method to add to her list. To-the-death gladiator fights- but of course, her sinners were already dead, so those fights could go on for eternities! Turtle seemed to be some kind of owl, and Phoenix a type of.. Raptor? A hawk or eagle or falcon or the like. It was very hard to tell with how their forms were merely flickering flames. "Well, they were my bonded birds before I was burned at the stake by my lovely brother. No one expected us to survive, let alone rise again as something totally different! Thankfully my birds came back as well, I would have held a bit more of a grudge if they didn't... But they were due for a name change after that!" @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Calamity continued to watch them, entranced by the dancing flames emitting from them. “Hmm, burned at the stake? Like one of those people that get put on a reality show just to cause problems. I do like rooting for those guys,” she continued on her tangent. “BUT! That aside, my point is that those two would be sooo much fun to get back at, though now isn’t the time. It needs to be calculated, and I need the perfect strike of inspiration… torturing is an art, you know!
