Something was watching Theora from the shadows… A small, spiderweb like string suddenly flew from behind, but missed Theora spectacularly. It landed by her side, and was now being quickly pulled back from where it came from. It seems like she was out of practice. She could already hear him chastising her in her mind. She pulled the string, hoping to at least make a distraction. @soul | 🎻 (edited)

Theora's head snapped toward the string, then she turned to face where it had come from and where it was being pulled from. Her hand patted her side. No gun. She balled her hands into fists. "Where did you take him?!" She yelled, bringing her fists up to her chest. @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

Fists. This person fought up close then. Easy target. Nora shot another string out, quickly looping it and sending it towards the neck of the girl in front of her. @soul | 🎻 (edited)

The string hit its mark and Theora yelled in frustration, grabbing the string with her hands and trying to tear it. "Answer me you piece of shit!" @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

Theora would find it hard to talk like that. The string was tight on her throat, and difficult to break. Nora sprinted towards her target, pulling the string down to try and force the girl to the ground. @soul | 🎻

Theora saw the stranger barrelling toward her and, even with the string tight around her neck, she shifted her posture to stay standing and, as Nora neared, she lifted her foot - just in time so the base of her foot landed in Nora's stomach. @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

She was getting sloppy. Failing to bring down her target, and now getting hit by them. She let go of the string, landing rough in the sand. Nora grit her teeth, that hurt. But she couldn’t show it- no blood, nothing broken, it wasn’t true pain. She stood up and shot another string, aiming towards the girl’s eyes. @soul | 🎻

Theora ducked, just about avoiding the string though it caught in her ponytail. "You're going to tell me what you did with him," she snarled, balling her fists again. "I'm not playing your game." @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

Nora has 16 HP. Why does this person keep asking questions? Why does she continue to miss? Nora eyed the stones on the ground, backing up a bit and grabbing one with her strings, attempting to launch it into the girl. @soul | 🎻 (edited)

Theora didn't back up, only getting closer. As Nora launched the rock, she caught it - her palm burned with impact but she refused to show it. "Answer me. Now." She continued to walk toward Nora, rock still in hand. @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

She flinched as the person catches the rock. Nora continues to back up, quickly realizing she’s losing her advantage. She looks down, and quickly reconnects herself with another string to the thread on the ground. The thread around Theora’s neck tightens again, but something’s different. The Witch finally speaks. ”Stop.” Her voice a whisper, but the thread seems to carry it into Theora’s mind. Compelling her to listen. @soul | 🎻

Theora did indeed stop, her fingers tightening around the rock. Her eyes shook with rage, piercing into Nora, but she didn't move an inch. @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

Nora let out the slightest sigh of relief. Compared to her target, her face was incredibly inexpressive. Nora stared at her target for a moment. She didn’t have her knives, but she could kill with a rock. She’s done it before. Nora walked behind the girl, tying her hands behind her back with thick string. Whatever magic she was using was forcing Theora to stay as Nora quickly tied her hands. @soul | 🎻

Theora's anger was expressed through heavy breaths and her eyes following Nora for as long as she could. If she could, she would have tried to lurch away from the string tying her hands. But she couldn't. She was silent, seething. @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

Nora finished. She took the rock from Theora’s hands, lifting it to bludgeon her head. She didn’t offer any last words, final requests, didn’t even give her the grace of standing in front of her when she attacked. Nora brought the rock down hard on the crown of her head. @soul | 🎻 (edited)

Theora closed her eyes to see those little snapshots, focusing on the Eyes on the back of her head. Invisible to Nora, they let Theora see what was happening. The rock raised. Then it came down. Theora crumpled, her mouth opening but making no sound, unable to. @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺 @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Static would fill the air around them, until the air became so electric that it was hard to bare. Then, between the two of them, lightning struck the ground. Rakin appeared once the light faded, only wearing his pants and belt. His right arm was still bandaged up, past his elbow. His back had more of the reddish scars, as well as some faded thin white scars everywhere across it. "ENOUGH!" Rakin bellowed, glaring between the two of them, his right arm shaking terribly and sweat coating his body. @soul | 🎻 @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

Nora dropped the rock (thankfully not on Theora) clutching her head in pain. She backed away from the other girl, dropping to the ground. She looked up, seeing the man from before. “O-oh… it’s you, I- I did what you wanted…” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽 @soul | 🎻

Theora was laying on the ground. Something inside her head was ringing, only growing louder at Rakin's yell. Almost familiar. She kept her eyes closed, watching the two from the Eyes on the back of her head. She wasn't feigning unconsciousness but she wasn't exactly admitting to being awake either. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽@Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

"I did not ask you to attack the first person you saw!" Rakin grunted, moving his hands up to his face. "I said we hadn't picked out your opponent yet, what made you think that the first random person you met was the one we intended you to fight? Not to mention you could have killed her now- people can't be dying this early!" Rakin stared at Nora for only a moment before crouching down next to Theora and checking her for a pulse. @soul | 🎻 @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

Nora curled in on herself as the man yelled at her. She messed it up. She’s spent too long resting, she’s losing it. “I-I’m sorry… I thought you- I’m sorry. I- I’ll do better, I swear…” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽 @soul | 🎻

Theora was alive! Yay. As Rakin checked her pulse, however, her eyes snapped open and she scrambled away. "Don't touch me you- where is he?! Where have you taken him?!" GIRL. She glared at Nora over her shoulder but said nothing, her steely glare saying enough. It certainly held a threat of violence toward Nora. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽 @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

As soon as he felt that Theora was still alive, Rakin stood up and walked away from her. "I hope you two can contain the violence until we decide on your opponents and your arena. Please don't make this any more complicated than it needs to be." Rakin sighed. @soul | 🎻 @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

That’s… all? No punishment…? Nora unraveled the smallest of stings, tying it tight around her palm. “I’ll be good.” Her voice sounded very automatic. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽 @soul | 🎻

Theora watched Rakin like a hawk. He'd been that body in that strange room, she realised. "Where is he?" She repeated, slowly standing up. "You have Miles. I need to take him back." He was the only one she planned to commit violence again. Nora hadn't made her list. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽 @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

"I do not know what you are talking about." Rakin replied to Theora before zapping away yet again. @soul | 🎻 @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

cw self harm as punishment Nora pulled the string tighter, pushing it over the pain in her stomach. It. Doesn’t. Hurt. Her breathing evens, and she looks at the other girl. “…who are… you looking for?” @soul | 🎻

Theora side-eyed Nora with a scowl. "You're not involved in this? You don't know?" It wasn't really a question, more like an interrogation. @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

This was weird… she’s never talked to someone she’s tried to kill before. Usually they just died. She tilted her head. “No. I.. just got here… Who are you?” @soul | 🎻

Theora tilted her head back, mockingly. "Theora. I'm looking for a boy. Miles. These people have him. Have you seen him?" @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

She shook her head. “No. You.. you’re the first… person I’ve seen.” @soul | 🎻

Theora stared at Nora. For a long time. Barely blinking. Just staring. Hmm. Then she finally spoke, eventually. "Tell me if you do see him." And she began to walk away. Girl. @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

“Oh- okay.” She made no effort to continue the conversation. Turning back towards the coconut she dropped. @soul | 🎻 (edited)
