To the top right side of the area, right next to the #training-room, there was a dense pine forest. It was freezing beneath the snow covered canopy, and the grass on the ground was weak and dry. Toward the bottom of the trunks of some of the trees were some small scratches, some looking fresh. It was probably fine to hang out here though.

With a ZAP of lightning, Ko appeared in the area... She was dressed in some winter clothes surprisingly to her style. @Shae | Ko

Ko looked around as she glanced at her new clothing. Relieved to see her charms in place as she toyed with them for a moment. She assumed there would be an announcement of some kind before the fighting began so for now she simply started looking around for anything of use. (edited)

With a ZAP of lightning, Kenji appeared in the area... He was dressed in some winter clothes surprisingly to his style. He was still missing the gem. @em | mallon 🎣 + kenji 🌒

Kenji groans, sitting up from where he’d been dropped splayed-out on the ground. His hand flies to his chest as soon as he clocks that he’s in a different location than before, shoulders heaving as he frantically pats down over the coat that he’s suddenly now wearing, but it’s nowhere to be found. Fortunately, though, the suddenly-appeared snowy forest (and subsequent freezing temperatures) is more than enough to divert his attention. It’s with a sharp, old relief he hadn’t thought he would feel again that he pulls the scarf he’s now wearing up and over his mouth as much as he can. Better than nothing, at least—the cold was starting to numb the exposed bone. Squinting through the trees, he can just barely make out the flickering of some sort of light beyond them. Might as well head for that and just hope the panic that he’s fighting back doesn’t catch up to him until then.

Andre let out a small huff of air as he walked through the pine forest. "I don't know about you but I haven't seen anythan' we can use to cook..." He frowned shaking his head "We're in a frozen tundra it would be rather hard." Someone huffed. "Well, Miss Angie, do ya think you can find anythang?" Andre asked with a smile. "Maybe you'll have more luck. You always had a keen eye." "I'll see what I can do." ....Strangely enough. Nobody else was there. It looked like Andre was just...talking to himself? @Shae | Ko

Ko stared from behind a tree as she heard someone come up. Unable to help her curiosity at hearing noise she keeps closer. Tilting her head in slight confusion as she looked at who had come, strange, it had sounded liked there would be more than one person. But then again, perhaps she just couldn’t see the other one yet. Not wanting to startle them she stepped fully into the open. “It might be a bit too cold for anything edible to survive. At least from what I’ve seen,” She announced. @Cap! | Maki🧿 + Andre🌾

Andre turned his focus to Ko before he smiled. "Ah! Howdy there! My apologies, Miss, I didn't see you." He apologized. "But I do reckon you're right....which is a problem for all of y'all." He shook his head. "People need ta' eat don't they? How on earth are we gonna live without without food.." He frowned now, sighing dejected. "....Well there's gotta be something." The voice said again, but nobody was nearby...how odd. @Shae | Ko

“It’s no problem, I wasn’t really trying to be seen until now,” she admitted. “They do but given the circumstances I’m not sure the host is that worried about our survival. I did find a kitchen earlier but I don’t recall seeing any food inside.” She added, “I’m Ko by the way. Ko Utabi.” @Cap! | Maki🧿 + Andre🌾

"The host is a fucking imbecile!" The voice snapped. Suddenly, Andre's necklace started to glow and pulse before a hand shot out of it. Soon, someone was crawling out of the necklace. As the person crawled out, she groaned loudly and shook her head. "If they want us to live, surely they'd provide us with survival?" She scowled before shaking her head. "Ah- Miss Angie-" Andre stammered. "Anyway." Angie cut him off before she turned to Ko. Angie had blonde hair and green eyes, though the sclera in her right eye was blacked out. Her outfit was definitely not suitable for winter but she didn't even seem to care like the cold had no effect on her. She crossed her arms over her chest and huffed. "Ah- erm." Andre stepped to the side with a tiny smile. "Well...I'm Andre Kupfer and this is Miss Angie.." @Shae | Ko

“The issue is that they don’t want us to live,” Ko spoke, mostly unfazed by the appearance on Miss Angie. It did make her want to ask questions but considering the circumstances she wasn’t sure if it’d be rude or not. “It’s a pleasure to meet you both,” Ko spoke, bowing respectfully before straightening up. “I assume you two came here together then?” @Cap! | Maki🧿 + Andre🌾

Angie stared at Ko for a few moments before she rose an eyebrow. "No screaming and running away? You just watched a really hot ghost lady crawl out of a necklace." She pointed at her before she shrugged. "Can't kill someone who's already dead so HAHA! SUCKER!" And she flipped off the sky. Andre looked rather nervous before he nodded. "Yes. Me and Miss Angie are friends. She and I...err.." He looked down at his necklace. "Well I'm trying to assist her and get her outta tha' necklace she's trapped in." @Shae | Ko

“My apologies Miss Angie but my family own and operates a temple back home. It is my duty to maintain the shrines and the spirits I care for ensure I am used to strange things happening.” She admitted. “I see do you know what caused her to be trapped in it?” She asked, “or for how long?” @Cap! | Maki🧿 + Andre🌾

Angie leaned forward slightly, her eyes sparkling with interest. "Oh?" She asked. Then she let out a long sigh. "I just met you, sweetheart. I'm not gonna tell you everything. That ruins the fun of getting to know me!" Angie flipped her hair before she placed her hand under her chin wiggling her fingers. "And I am a very interesting woman, you know." @Shae | Ko

"My apologies Miss Angie I did not mean to overstep," Ko spoke, doing her best to be respectful as she had been taught, "when I meet new spirits at the temple I ask questions to figure out how to best aid them. Even here it is easy for me to follow the habits but I understand if you are one who wants answers to be earned." Her status at the temple did gain her some respect, at least from those who were permanent residence. But the new spirits passing through would occasionally test her in some way before allowing her to build and maintain their shrines. Oddly the idea of being able to follow the routine here with Miss Angie set her at ease. "I'm sure if given the chance to learn more about you I will come to agree," she spoke, offering her a smile. @Cap! | Maki🧿 + Andre🌾

"Of course you will~♡!" Angie chirped before she laughed loudly. "You're sooo cute! Really!" She clapped her hands together, smiling. "You shrine maidens are always such a delight~!" Was she teasing Ko...? It was hard to tell. Then she let out a small sigh, relaxing her stance. "Oh I do mean it, by the way. Not all mortals are as kind as you are." Andre nodded along before he looked down at his necklace for a moment, rolling it between his fingers. "Miss Angie is quite an interestan' woman!" He smiled. "She likes to help me out with cookin and thangs." @Shae | Ko

“Thank you Miss Angie,” Ko spoke earnestly. Even though she’d only been gone from home for about a day. Being reminded of it made her homesick. Even if there was nothing she could do about it. “Is that so?” Ko implored, mentally filing that information away, “is that why you were out here looking for something edible? To try and cook.” @Cap! | Maki🧿 + Andre🌾

Angie let out a small sigh before she nodded her head. "I don't really need to eat, being a ghost and all." She gestured to herself. "But you mortals do, right? Pretty sure it's an important thing you need to do." She chuckled a bit. "I wanted to cook for y'all." Andre nodded. "I don't wany anyone goin' hungry if I can prevent it..." @Shae | Ko

“We do, very important especially with the harsh weather. Without ample food here the effect of the cold will be amplified, and considering the way it feels currently I don’t think any of us will last long without food,” Ko admitted. If worse came to worse she could turn herself into mist to avoid the feeling but that would in turn take more energy. A risk she wasn’t willing to take until she had to. “That’s very sweet of you, I haven’t explored every bit of this place so there may be some food somewhere. I just haven’t seen any yet,” she added. @Cap! | Maki🧿 + Andre🌾

Angie looked over at Andre for a moment, studying him briefly before she turned away and looked back at Ko. "The host is rather stupid if you ask me. If he wants us to fight, we do, you know...have to live." She shook her head. "I'm gonna haunt that guys dreams and give him the worst nightmares imaginable." Angie grinned. "Crawl out of a broken mirror and shit." "Mighty scary Miss Angie." Andre laughed quietly before he turned to Ko. "Are you cold or anythan'? You doin alright?" @Shae | Ko

“Do let me know if you find him Miss Angie. I imagine many of us here would like to have a word with him. Considering the most I’ve heard about him was from Rakin,” Ko spoke. Outside of wanting them all the fight each other not even having the decency to greet them upon arrival wasn’t very host-like. “I’m doing alright for now. They at least gave us winter clothes and I was in the kitchen not long ago. The warmth from there helped,” Ko assured. @Cap! | Maki🧿 + Andre🌾

"You wanna beat him up together?" Angie. Angie please. She let out a small laugh before she floated above the ground a bit, then she spun. "Oh I've been itchin for a fight!" "Miss Angie.." Andre said slowly before he shook his head, sighing heavily. He placed a hand on her shoulder, gently bringing her down so her feet touched the ground before he spoke. "Maybe we can all go an' find something together. Six pairs of eyes are better than four." @Shae | Ko

“Oh, no I meant actually have a word with him,” Ko admitted, “although if he does try and fight us or refuses to see reason then maybe fighting him is inevitable. But going in with the intention to fight might not work in our favor if we need him to get home.” “If you like. I can certainly do my best to help you find something. Though I’m not sure what we should be looking for since the weather might mean any edible plants that were here are out of season,” Ko spoke. @Cap! | Maki🧿 + Andre🌾

Angie pouted slightly but gave a shrug afterwards. Oh well. "I suppose." She huffed and leaned back slightly. "What a pain. Usually that's how people get the job done. At least in the years I've been alive." Angie looked down at her nails inspecting them before she shut her eyes. "I suppose things have changed since then." "Well...I suppose anythan' is better than nothin." Andre sighed. "I just don't want anyone to go hungry now." He crossed his arms with a shake of his head. "It makes me real nervous..." @Shae | Ko

“Well I do not know when it was you were alive. Or if other factors like location led to people looking to violence. But with my upbringing fighting is reserved for defense, used in the role of protector rather than attacker,” Ko explained. “That’s true, I doubt anywhere here wants starvation to be what does them in,” Ko mused, she’d certainly prefer a quicker death than that. “If it makes you feel any better there was water in the kitchen which will hopefully help us last long enough to find something edible.” @Cap! | Maki🧿 + Andre🌾

"Aah well, bein burned at the stake does that to ya." Angie put her hands on her hips. GIRL. Andre just looked rather nervous and uncomfortable before he cleared his throat. "Water is a good start." He agreed. "I'll double check the kitchen maybe...if possible I can try and find some seeds and grow more winter crops..? Kale and Carrots work so that's some veggies..." He pondered. @Shae | Ko

“I-,” Ko began to say before her brow furrowed as she thought it over. “I’m not quite sure how to respond to thank,” she settled on, “but my condolences for your end all the same.” “How long do those take to grow?” She asked, the switch in topics coming perhaps too easily. “I’m not even sure how many of us there are to figure out how much food we’d all need.” @Cap! | Maki🧿 + Andre🌾

"Eh don't worry about it.' Angie placed a hand in her chest. "All in the past. I got my revenge by haunting the fuck out of their bloodline." She beamed. "Quite awhile...which is the issue. About 70 days for carrots and 90 for kale." Andre frowned. "There's a few other crops but...its hard to even know if there's food around...maybe there's fish in the stream..but that means getting through the thick ice...hm." @Shae | Ko

“I suppose that’s one way to go about it,” Ko uttered. Wondering whether that was caused Angie to be in the necklace. Or if she had done something else. “I’d imagine most of us would succumb to the elements long before either of those grew.” Ko spoke, “and the idea of even being stuck here that long in the first place is concerning. Perhaps the fish would be a more likely route for food.” @Cap! | Maki🧿 + Andre🌾

"Let's head over to the ice then." Angie nodded. "I can try and use some of my powers to help. I have some fire magic but its not much....but I suppose it still can help. Better than nothing." Angie spun on her heel before she disappeared. "Let's bounce." She said. As she spoke, the necklace was glowing before it fadded away. Andre looked down at his necklace before he nodded. "Alrighty." He smiled and tipped his hat. "Off to tha river it is." @Shae | Ko

Another tidbit about Miss Angie to file away. Powers and fire magic yet burned, she wondered if the fire magic was before or after her death. She wondered if it be okay to ask. “I’ll do my best to help as well,” Ko assured, she might be able to turn the ice into mist. But if the ice was too thick she might have a problem with containing it, she’d hate herself into an icy river trying to make a hole to fish from. But she supposed she wouldn’t know until they were there as she started following where Miss Angie had headed. @Cap! | Maki🧿 + Andre🌾

Celena let out a slight scream when she appeared in the forest. She dropped into the snow, landing on her hands and knees. Immediately, she was shivering from the cold. To go from the heat to the cold was nauseating. However, the sting of the cold was grounding. Her breathing was still erratic, but it was slower than it had been. She wasn't crying as hard anymore. Slowly, she leaned back against a nearby tree and took in a deep breath. She'd have to steady herself. Just calm, calm down, and figure out what to do now.

After some silence, lightning struck the floor of the forest again. It was Dante, visibly trembling and biting his nails. His tail was firmly hid between his legs as he took in some deep breaths, and just stood there, staring off in to the distance.

Acxiom had slipped out of the barracks right about when it felt less like hanging out and more like intruding on a family gathering. They crunched through the snow, eyes creating a beam of light in front of them, however they were so absent-minded that they still nearly crashed right into Dante, although thankfully they dialed down the eye brightness before staring directly at and blinding the poor guy. Shit, that's the fire dude, Dante. Distinctly fire-less. Damn. "Woah- hey, what are you doing out here? Something up?" Clearly, Acxiom had noticed the state of the guy, obvious concern in her voice. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Dante was still focusing on his breaths as Acxiom approached- and her sudden voice frightened him right out of his trance. He jumped back, gasping just slightly. "O-oh-! Yes, yes.. of.. of course." He rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand and smiled lightly. "N-never been better..!" @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

"you sure? You look real spooked." Acxiom replied. For good measure, she shone her eyelights around a few of the trees near them. "How long have you been standing out here? It's freezing, man." Acxiom was cold enough even when moving, but they were just going for a walk. Dante was just...still. They really didn't know if the whole fire thing extended to internal body heat or not. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Yes. No harm in a young man just standing around..!" Dante nodded. "A-and just a few minutes now. Really taking in nature..! Y-you know..? Beautiful and.. all.." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxioms face clearly suggested he wasn't believing a word of what Dante was saying. He did look around though. "You got a point, it's kinda pretty out here, dark though." The sky seemed to be lightening but the forest still felt pretty dark to Acxiom. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Y-yes.. Very dark- I'm so so sorry- I'll fix that right away, sir-!" Dante yelped and rushed over to one of the nearby trees. He yanked off one of the lower branches before rushing back to Acxiom's side and lighting it on fire, effectively illuminating the immediate area. It was clear his arm was shaking as he held it, but he just smiled, looking ever so slightly off center from Acxiom. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom was about to protest, and their eyes brightened to that effect, as if to emphasize the fact that they could create their own light, but Dante moved fast. Instead, Acxiom smiled a little and took careful hold of the branch along with Dante, just because it was shaking worryingly. "Don't have to apologize, I got the light thing covered anyway- but the fire is nice, thanks" Theres that look of concern again. They put their other hand up, palm towards the fire, warming it. They tilted their head a little to be in Dante's field of vision again. "You sure you're doin okay, Dante?" All three of their eyes were the regular RGB, but the blue one seemed a bit brighter than the other two, the glow escaping the eye a bit. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Dante didn't seem to notice at all that Acxiom was making their own light. He only wiped his eyes again with his free hand, his tail wrapping around his leg anxiously. He kept a strong grip on the branch, not letting Acxiom hold it entirely. ".. I-I'm always fine. I have to be. T-to make my momma proud- b-but.. A-all I do is mess it up.." Acxiom was silent for a moment, didn't look entirely shocked to hear this but still wasn't sure what to make of it. Eventually he nodded matter-of-factly. "Man. Moms, huh?" After another moment, he did say more. "I wouldn't really blame you for not being fine right now. There's kinda a lot going on, I bet you're just doing what you can like everyone else here" Acxiom told them, with a cadence that suggested they were really trying to word things right. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

".. Y-yes.. Moms.." Dante mumbled. "B-but.. My best is so bad, Sir Acxiom.. I-I hurt Miss Zahara.. A-and then Rakin was mad.. A-and he got- this- this-.. Creature.. A-and it hurt me back.. Don't fuck up real bad or else you'll have to meet the creature™️. Got it. "You're not a failure, it just sucks here. You're like, the main reason we don't all freeze to death, give yourself some credit, okay?" He felt like making a comment about Rakin, who, from Acxiom's singular interaction with him, stood out as someone who had wack reactions to little things. He didn't really know what Dante even did though. "What happened with Zahara?" Their legs had started aching a bit, they looked around the two of them for some kind of big rock or maybe a log to sit on instead of just standing here holding a torch. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

".. D-doing my duties does not make me worthy of any praise, Ms Acxiom.." Dante sighed. ".. I-i was trying to help M'lady Theora to speak with Rakin.. A-and I knew the main way to do that was to get him to protect Zahara since they're very close s-so.. Gosh, I 'tried' to drown her- I really wasn't actually going to go through with it, you must believe me, but.. Acxiom looked understandably a bit surprised or shocked by this news at first. "....wow." They looked up at the lightening sky. "I'd be a pretty huge hypocrite if I acted like you were really terrible or something, and I think you feel bad enough as it is." She paused again, still looking as if she wanted to find the right thing to say. She didn't like that feeling. She liked saying whatever the fuck, but that felt weird here. "Sounds like a really...rough time. Do you..." Want a hug? Nope. Stupid. Hugs are like..a friend thing probably. You've met this guy twice, he's probably good without that from you. "B-but I am so terrible.. I can't get a single woman to love me. I'm a total failure. A-and I just hurt one of my only friends to t-try to change that.." Dante sniffled, wiping his eyes yet again. "I-if you think a walk would be beneficial, I won't s-stop you, Mr. Acxiom.. But I don't think it will help me. All I do all day is walk a-and do my chores.." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Tsubari wasn't really looking where she was running, just going in one direction as fast as she could. After a while, she slowed down and eventually stopped, not recognizing her surroundings. Well she was certainly lost now. Emotionally and physically. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Tsubari wouldn’t be alone for long, as a flash of pink circled above her, and would then descend rapidly, revealing a certain demon in front of her. “Ah! Hey there, Tsubari!” she grinned. “You looked a liiiiittle… lost, am I right to say that?” @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Tsubari was so startled, that she stumbled back, tripping on a root and falling back. Strange... she didn't think she could lose her balance so easily. "Y-you..." She had a mixture of emotions on her face, so much that her model couldn't really handle them. But what Calamity could see was a mix of anger and sadness. Smad vibes. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Calamity’s smile… faltered. She quickly raised her hands up, her tail standing up as well, wings extended defensively. “I come in peace! No fire, no nothin…” she exhaled, pausing for a few moments before hanging her head. “…Sorry sweetie, I was tricked.” @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"Tricked?" Tsubari ran that word through her nonexistent brain. "You didn't look like you were tricked..." She wasn't the smartest, but this whole situation seemed to be right up Calamity's alley. “Okay, okay, it’s a strong word, I know, but… hear me out,” the demon pouted. “We need to start with that one loser- Scott. You know, the guy with the cards? Well, those were my cards, and Rakin ate them. So we talked- well, I threatened him, and unfortunately I found that the little masochist was tugging on my heartstrings juust a bit, so I offered that he denounce his current master and let me become his instead. Okay, you following? Great,” she didn’t wait for Tsubari to answer. “So I went to talk to Alrai Pin, and that was a reeeeeal bad idea,” she huffed. “I thought it would be funny to let them poke around my beautiful mind and realize just how much better I am, and well… I granted them the ability to control me. Soooooo it was either I go into the ring and protect Rakin, or Alrai Pin takes control of me- and I promise you if that would’ve happened, there’d be no winner. Sooo yeah…” she trailed off, then crossed her arms. Sure she’d caused her own demise, but she seemed rather… apologetic about it. Tsubari blinked. She didn't know what to believe and that was a l o t of information. "Rakin is the one who trapped us here. And his boss... Why would you let him do that??" @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Calamity pouted again. “Truth be told… I thought it would be funny… or like! A one-off thing! Ugh, that Alrai Pin is so laaaame!” she wailed. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"You still hurt that girl. You didn't have to do that." She wasn't certain herself what was right anymore. Calamity's aura was overpowering and Tsubari didn't know what to do. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“I did… but I gave a warning- and once she proved to be a threat, I knew that if I, Calamity, didn’t do anything, then Alrai Pin most definitely would’ve- and that girl would have been dead.” she paused. “I fucked around and found out nothing good, and now I’m stuck playing lackey for that stupid Alrai Pin until we destroy them. “Listen, it was fine until the one guy tackled me, and the girl let out her little light-show. She was slated to lose until that little maneuver at the end of the fight- but yeah… you’re right.” Calamity nodded solemnly. “I like suffering… but not like this. Tsubari still had doubt in her mind. "Why should I still trust you?" Why did you ever trust her bestie she's a demon. You should've seen this coming a mile away. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Calamity’s wings folded and fell to her side. “Well, pinky, I don’t know why you did in the first place, so I’m sorry if I got your hopes up,” she shrugged again, though this one was done in a rather defeated manner. “I guess I just didn’t realize that my actions would have these kinds pf consequences… they never have before…” @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Tsubari curled up on the floor. I hope this hurts Calamity's neck. "Mothers said something similar. That I never think about the consequences." She trailed off. "You've never lost anything at any point before? Like... ever?" @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“Never,” the demon replied plainly. “Everything on the surface is usually gone before I can ever get attached to it, and well… Hell is my own personal playground!” she perked up for a moment as she spoke about her home, then frowned again. “Have you ever lost anything?” @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Tsubari sat for a moment, thinking on the question. "Well... I can't say I've ever had anything to lose. I had freedom for a bit. That was fun." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“Freedom?” Calamity raised an eyebrow. “And that was taken from you?” @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Tsubari nodded. She reached towards her collar and tugged at it. "Atanasio managed to get it off once. It didn't stay off very long. Mothers said it was to keep me in check, whatever that means." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“Hm, so that curious little necklace keeps you from being free?” Calamity asked. She’d eventually tell Tsubari about Atanasio, but right now didn’t seem like the best time. “Now that you’re far away from most people, have you considered trying to take it off again?” @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

... Tsubari looked Calamity dead in the eye, manifesting a digital knife and wedging it between the collar and her neck with the blade facing OUTWARDS to attempt to cut the collar. Despite the force she appeared to use, the collar did not seem to budge in the slightest. As the knife disappeared as quickly as it had appeared, Tsubari held her arms out as if to say, "i fuckin told you man." (edited)

Tsubari opened her mouth to answer, but nothing came out. After a moment she closed it again and looked down. "I don't remember... I can't remember. They probably knew I'd try again." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Tsubari looked at Calamity, her form shifting before she suddely stood. No getting up, just a jump cut. "Do you think it could work? I don't even know how... And what reason would you have for freeing me?" @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“Eh, never hurts to try,” Calamity shrugged, then met Tsubari’s eyes. “I suppose you and quite a few others are owed an apology, and my actions usually speak louder than my words. Tsubari looked away for a moment, but quickly tried to meet Calamity's eyes. "You'd really free me?" She looked hopeful. There is definitely no catch. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Calamity nodded. “I like my freedom- and I’m sure you enjoyed yours when you had it. So, I’d like to free you, no strings attached! I fucked up forgetting to read the fine print, so there’s none of that here!” she extended out her hand for Tsubari to take. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Tsubari looked at the hand with hesitation. She wasn't exactly trustworthy. But what other chance would she have? "Okay." She reached out and grabbed Calamity's hand. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“So it’s a deal!” the demon purred, smiling once more. She quickly let go of Tsubari’s hand and leaned even closer to her, eyes fixed on the necklace. “I’m going to try something, so you just let me know if it starts hurting- ‘kay?” @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"Well I've already made a deal with the devil, but I'll let you know I suppose." Tsubari's head tilted back almost instinctively as her hand moved back to her side. She wasn't sure what Calamity intended to do, but she was hoping it would at least be quick. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Calamity had the same idea, as one of her hands was placed on Tsubari’s head, as if to create some sort of barrier. Her other hand was steadied around the necklace, one clawed finger sliding into the space between the jewelry and the v-tuber’s neck. “Alright dear, just keep breathing as if everything is normal!” she chirped, a small pink flame emanating from the finger near Tsubari’s neck. As if her clawed nail was a heated knife, she flicked it down into the necklace, channeling every ounce of strength and control into getting a nice, clean cut. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru (lmk if I need to roll anything lmaoo) (edited)

Calamity nodded, then called out: “THREE… …TWO… …ONE!” With that, Calamity’s nail seared through the necklace in one swift action. It curled up and fell away from Tsubari’s neck, pathetically hitting the snow. She was free! And suffered zero injuries! @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Tsubari flinched as Calamity called out one and she felt the collar fall off of her. It... fell. It actually fell. She staggered backwards as the piece fell to the ground. "I'm free... *I'm free!^" The creatura lit up, letting off a brighter glow as she gripped the sides of her head in laughter. Lowkey concerning laughter. She continued to take a few steps back as her form seemed to shift. Probably unsettling to unaccustomed eyes. Tsubari shifted between a few forms. Her current, her original, even facsimiles of Calamity and Atanasio were in there, along with a few others no one in this hell would recognize. This might take a minute. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Calamity laughed too, though hers was a bit less worrying- though being a demon, surely her laugh was already unsettling… “Heeeeey, you good?” she glanced over at Tsubari. “You’re going a million miles an hour, pinky! And a million people too… hm!” she blinked as soon as she saw herself when Tsubari shifted, then tensed up. That wouldn’t be the first time recently she’d been forced to see her own beautiful visage on someone else… ew! @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Tsubari was stuck in this state for what felt like an eternity. It's been so long since she last considered freedom a reality. She knew what she was capable and even then she was not prepared for what she could become once she was free. She could be absolutely anything. As her form settled, Calamity could see that Tsubari's horns were melting off of her, as were her wings, although they weren't really attacked to her to begin with. The literal color drained from her model as she began to pulse and decrease in size. By the time the transformation, only a child remained where the Tsubari that Calamity knew once stood. Not to mention this child looked remarkably human. It remained crouching on the ground, taking a moment to cool down in the snow after what just happened. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Tsubari was… melting? The demon watched on in interest as Tsubari’s color vanished, and then she changed. Calamity looked down at the strange, very real child now at her feet. “Heeeey, pinky? You still there?” @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

... Moses and Agustín trudged out of the med bay and in to the nearby woods. The further they went, the less Agustín was helping to walk. By the time they were halfway through the woods, Moses was having to practically drag Agustín through the snow. @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Moses didn't find it difficult to carry Agustin, but something else bothered him more. Feeling Agustin practically go limp against him, Moses decided to stop and rest under a thick brush of trees. He rested Agustin down against a tree and looked over him, a worried expression on his face. "Hey, Agustin..? Can you hear me?" Agustín was shivering from the cold, but besides that, he had gone stiff and tense. His eyes were wide, and the darkness was still lingering around the edges. It didn't seem to be progressing any further, thankfully, but who knows what pausing this transformation halfway through did. @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

"Agustin..?" Moses said again, his worry more evident now as the other didn't respond. "You're okay, Agustin. We're outside now. I'm right here beside you, okay?" He said with a small frown and gently placed his hand onto Agustin's shoulder to ground him. He didn't know what Rakin was trying to do, but clearly, it had shaken Agustin to the core. Agustín continued to breathe, and occasionally blink. After some more time, his head slowly moved to lean against Moses' hand, though he didn't acknowledge him any more than that. He wasn't even really looking at him. @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Shit... Moses was at a lost. When Agustin leaned his head against his hand, he gently pressed it against Agustin's cheek, trying to give him some sense of warmth and ground. With his hand on his cheek, he moved his head so Moses could look him in the eyes. "Agustin, focus. It's me, Moses. You're okay, that asshole Rakin isn't here right now. You have to come back, okay? We still have work to do.. I-" Moses blinked, finding it difficult to look at Agustin's almost dead stare. "Agustin.. Look, I-I still need you, okay? I still need your help. Oh, Agustín was trying. It felt like his brain was disconnected from the rest of his body, and only his subconscious functions were still active. Breathing, blinking, and heart beating was all he could really do. He tried to activate his healing powers to try to somehow reconnect himself, but they only sputtered out. Again, he tried with his still-weak blood abilities.. Nothing. If anything, he felt worse. Moses could tell Agustin was struggling against whatever was happening to him, and his heart sank as he noticed the slowed breathing. "No, n-no, Agustin, cmon—I believe in you. You can fight against whatever this is," Moses said, a slight panic in his voice. He took off his gloves and stuffed them in his pocket, then gently cupped Agustin's face with his bare hands. "C'mon, come back..." Moses' hands were warm, but slowly getting colder in the snow. Through Agustin's muddled mind, he could feel the slight warmth on his face from Moses' hands. He would try again. With all the strength he could still muster, he used what he could of his blood abilities. He forced up most of his blood to his head to try to get that circulating again, and that seemed to do something. He suddenly lurched to the side and coughed, gasping for air. He raised his arms, barely having any strength left, and held on to Moses' hands as he just breathed. @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

"Woah—I got you, Agustin. It's okay, I'm here," Moses reassured him and moved closer to help lean Agustin's weight against his own so he didn't fall over. That left them quite close to one another. "It's okay, breathe. I'm here. I got you. Just focus on me and my voice, okay? Moses frowned as he listened to Agustin and slowly, he moved to give Agustin a hug. He felt like it was appropriate after everything Agustin had just experienced. Agustín reached up and weakly moved his arms around Moses as well. "I-i don't know if I'd be able to do it again- I could hardly do it when Rakin only got a few seconds to try to turn me before you interrupted him.." Agustín sighed. Moses took in a deep breath, the cold filling his old bones with a slight ache. "We'll find another way, Agustin. I'm sure there'll be someone who can help you. Moses let Agustin go whenever he was ready, and nodded. "Yeah, that's probably a good idea. Best to continue away from the Med bay for now too," he sighed and stood back up on his feet. "We should go to one of the barracks again.. But by chance, do you know anyone else over here who could be of some help to us? Moses looked over Agustin as he felt the other lean away and he raised a brow. "Are you sure you can walk on your own..?" He asked, genuinely concerned. "..Right, Jymaiyri is on this side. I think it would be good to talk to her, but I doubt she will be able to really help considering her.. situation.
