Dante has unlocked: SKI HILLS! Well, a pretty useless area.. But there were a few powdery hills here with ski lifts heading up them. There was a small cabin where you could rent out snowboards, sleds, and skis. Have fun here, I guess!

Stomp. Stomp. Stomp.. Seems like a certain red haired woman had been stomping around the top of the ski slope for a while now. And an orange haired newt was scrambling up the hill, huffing and puffing the entire time. "H-helloooooooo!" Dante gasped for air as he ran on all fours up toward her. ".. Hello?" The woman asked, turning to glare through the snow to locate him. It was too dark and snowy to really get a good look.. "You're here! You're really here! Yippee!" Dante's fervor increased as he got to the top, finally coming in to view. "Where am I exactly- oh.. Oh." She grumbled, crossing her arms over her chest as Dante ran at her. Right before he ran straight in to her, she thrust her hand forward in to his forehead, keeping him at arm's length. "Oh this is so wonderful! So so so so soooooo wonderful! Finally my dreams will come true and I will be freeeeeee!" Dante swooned, reaching out toward her. "Let me guess, you want my eggs?" "Oh, yes! Sooooo upfront! I will make a nest post-haste, madam! Anything you'd like!" Dante smiled. "Hm. Too bad, kid. You're a little late. Aaaaaaand not at all my type... So.." She grabbed a handful of his hair and yanked him forward, before shoving him backward. "WAaUGHH, woooAAHHH!!" Dante exclaimed as he fell down the slope, quickly gaining speed and forming himself into a snowball as he rolled all the way back down to the bottom of the hill.

…Dante rolled allllllllll the way down the hill, landing in a miserable heap at the feet of another newt. Well, half-newt, but still a newt nonetheless. Julien had been rather out of it since having to place his vote, and had spent the rest of his time seated in front of Andre’s pillar, once again mourning a man he’d never met. As soon as he was zapped out, however, he figured it would be best to stretch his legs and clear his mind. “…Dante?” he looked the other man over before holding out his hand. “You good, man?” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Dante was half buried in snow as he came to a halt on to the ground in front of Julien. "There's a newt woman up there- you owe me many male deer now, Small-Tail! And you'd best stay away, she's mine!" Dante grabbed Julien's hand, but just to yank him to the ground as well. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Julien didn’t resist Dante’s pull, and tumbled into the snow with him. “What are you on about?!” he huffed, now caked in snow and out of breath. “Are you, like, delirious? Should we get you medical attention? Fuck, your hand is cold,” he sighed. “And you’re still trying to assert your dominance?” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Dante placed a hand on Julien's chest and leaned over him, really weakly pinning him to the snow. "I am on about newt women! And there is one up there! Can you not smell her on me? She grabbed my hair! It was wonderful." Dante smiled. "I do not require medical attention! I will start climbing that mountain again shortly!" @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Julien held his breath. This guy smelled just as he had the first time they’d met. “You still smell. As in, you’re sweating profusely- and it’s freezing outside!” he retorted. “So, if I am to believe you, there is a newt woman on that hill, and she pulled your hair, and most likely pushed you down as well. "Of course I sweat profusely! I must spread my pheromones SOMEHOW! It is extremely effective!" Dante huffed. "And she was not-not interested, she was just testing me! To make sure I am insistent! That I have perserverance, and I'm strong! My potential mates in the past have always sent me on little side quests, and this one is getting back up that mountain!" @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Julien took a deep breath and stood up. “…Dante.” he said, this time a bit more firm. “I’m not saying this because I’m trying to ‘find a mate’ or whatever competition you think I am- I’m saying this as someone that is concerned. Really concerned. Those ‘potential mates’ sound like they’re not interested in your advances, and those quests could be ploys to get you out of their personal space…” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Why are you concerned about me? No one's ever concerned about me, so you must be up to something. Something nefarious that you think I can't see through." Dante let him stand, but kept his eyes narrowed on him. "But anyway, I think I may have killed a guy to get that newt woman here, so I cannot give up now. I am much too close to quit here. Now, when my competition is practically zero.." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Julien put his hands up. “I’m not up to anything, I swear! I just learned that I’m a newt, and I’ve never had any ill intentions since I met you. I…” he trailed off, taking in the rest of Dante’s retort. “…You WHAT?! What the fuck did you do, Dante?!” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"What! Did you not view the fight? Rakin called me and a salamander in to battle! He promised something something like he'd bring the guy's husband if he won, or he'd put a newt woman here if I won. So I did what I had to- that guy hardly put up a fight at all! It was almost like he wanted to just lay there and take it or something.. Soooo long story short I have proven my valor! I'm sure that woman up there just hasn't heard about it yet." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“No, I didn’t- I stopped watching the more recent fights. I… truthfully didn’t think it would be serious, if that makes any sense,” he admitted. “But Dante, dude- you killed someone with zero remorse just to bring a woman into this torture maze! You’re consigning both yourself and some random woman to die here- and that’s reason enough to not want to mate with you. "I consigned nothing! Rakin said he was going to send all of us amphibs home, so we aren't dying! I wonder if that includes you... hm.." Dante hummed. "But killing other men is just expected! There's too many competing for only a few women! And Itsuki had a husband, so that meant he has either already had his kids or he had given up! I deserved to win!" @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“Send me home? I don’t even know anymore- it seems that maybe Rakin knows, and probably doesn’t really care. I’m here because I was brought back to life, and therefore I’m in the running to bring back the Pilarians or whatever.” Julien spat. “But that’s not important right now! You killed a guy with seemingly no interest in women- just because he could be competition! And what happens when the woman on that mountain rejects you? What then?” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"It wasn't just potential competition, he was quite literally the only thing between me and a newt woman being here." Dante huffed. "If she rejects me I'll just have to keep asking. I can't go home empty-handed." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“And why is it so important that you return home with a mate or eggs or whatever?” So many alarm bells went off in Julien’s head, most of which insinuating that Dante would never return home. But it wasn’t worth it to argue about that right now, especially when Dante was convinced he would. “You can’t just make someone say yes- especially when it comes to such a commitment. "My mother is going to cut my tail if I can't successfully reproduce! It's all she's ever wanted me to do. And I've already failed one year- and missed this year! This is my only good chance left!" Dante's tone was getting increasingly irritated. "You don't understand this. You weren't raised like the normal newt male. Maybe you don't need to be so desperate." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“No, I don’t understand,” Julien slowly lowered himself back to the ground, then looked up and met Dante’s eyes. “My mother loathed me. She, like you, believed that by having children, she’d feel like she fulfilled her purpose in life. But she didn’t, and she took it out on me. And for years, I also believed that me going out having a family would make her happy, then absolve me of my own guilt. That didn’t work either. I was desperate for approval, and it ruined my life. But, if this is what’s right for you, I won’t stop you. I would just be amiss to not give you my own insight about all this.” he held up his hands in an apparent surrender. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Dante crossed his arms over his chest and continually huffed as Julien spoke. "Well your mother could have given you away- I'm sure there's some other couple out there that would have taken a half newt child." Dante mumbled. "And your mother is dead. So your problem is solved. You can do whatever you wish! I don't have it so easy. I can't just ignore her and I can't just not go home.." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“She could have, but it’s my understanding that the women take care of the children. I guess she felt like I was her burden,” Julien shrugged. “And yes, she’s dead now, but that kind of emotional damage continues to last- wait-“ he paused. “Aren’t you an adult? "Women usually only keep as many children as they want. Ten is the usual clutch size- and no couple can raise that many." Dante said. "And yes, but what do you want me to do! I need to either retreat back home or to a different newt homeland! There's only one on the American continents and it doesn't connect to the ones in the other continents! "Brazil! In the big rain forest. I think the other amphibs are higher north for whatever reason." Dante said. "But you can travel through any well on the same land mass go get to the other wells. I heard a while ago froglings started popping up in ours but we made them all leave." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Julien nodded slowly. “Okay… so you’re most likely talking about the Amazon rainforest. But, I’m assuming that since there’s only one well there, you’d have to find a different way to travel there?” he stated, hoping that he was finally making sense of things. "Well, I really couldn't stop back home at all, but I need to have a well or I'll die. And many other amphibs are not tolerant of other groups trying to merge with theirs! The closest ones to us are the axolotls or salamanders- I suppose the axolotls aren't so bad.. hmm.. they may eat me though." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

"Well the only axolotl I've met has been Agustin and he's weird in a different way!" Dante huffed. "What are you even trying to get at with all these questions, huh?" @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Julien crossed his arms. “It’s stupid, and feel free to tell me so, but-“ he uncrossed his arms to pinch the bridge of his nose. “If we get out of this place, I can… take you to the newt colony. Or wherever you’d want to go. That’s why.” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"What? Yeah, that is stupid. Newt men can't immigrate back to the other wells even if they wanted to, they'd just be killed! My mother immigrated to the one in the rainforest before she laid her clutch, but she could do that because she was a woman! My mom always told me they wouldn't take me in the other one... Julien breathed a sigh of relief. “I’m glad it’s stupid. So… newt men don’t have any other purpose aside from reproduction? I think that may be stupider than my own thought,” he shrugged. “But if you wanted to search for another colony, I wouldn’t be against it, but that’s just wishful thinking. "Of course newt society is complicated! Sheesh, Small-Tail, I find that very rude you think so little of half of your heritage!" Dante shook his head. “I don’t think little of it- I’d be more than happy to know more about my heritage, Dante. Even if that colony wouldn’t accept me, you said they’d accept you, and perhaps if I go along with you, I can learn about newts and how they live,” I’ll do anything, just please don’t keep harassing that newt woman. “And if that still isn’t convincing, uhh…” Julien trailed off. “Have you ever been out in human society? “Wait, you need the well to survive?” Julien questioned, then shrugged. “I mean, you wouldn’t be telling me this if it wasn’t something you relied on. Julien looked down, then sighed. “…Kind of. It wasn’t a very forgiving profession. I dated around for a bit, but nothing could ever work out. I’m sure it could now, but like my point earlier- torture maze.” he paused. “It’s really not that bad though! Nowadays I was able to try to get all those years back that I wasted married to my job. As bleak as it is being on Earth sometimes, I miss it a lot… especially good food. Fuck, I miss pizza. Dante, have you ever eaten pizza?” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Julien clapped his hands together. “Yes, it’s a traditional human food. I don’t know what you newts eat, but pizza consists of three components- the crust, which is made of dough, the sauce, usually of the tomato variety, and finally, the cheese. Of course you can add toppings and put whatever you want on it. Personally, I’m a pineapple on pizza kind of guy.” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"... um. Dough, sauce of toemaeto, cheese.. I don't know what any of that is." Dante scratched the back of his head. "We usually just eat bugs and fish. What's a pineapple." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien
