Below you, all that is visible is the vast expanse of the galaxy. Swirling, multi-colored cosmos stretching as far as the eye could see. Distant stars twinkled, but none looked close enough, or anywhere near the right color to be considered your home "sun". None of these stars were familiar either. An entirely different set of galaxies from anything you had ever seen at home encompassed your entire view. Thankfully, you are spared from falling straight in to the abyss by a thick sheet of glass making up the floor. Probably doesn't stop you from panicking at first, though. And the temperature in here is very mild! The only thing besides empty space that is visible are two areas, one arena set to whatever the current theme was, and another building straight across from you. The front side is one-way glass, so you cannot see in to whatever is inside of it, nor can they see you. Both of the glass panes on the buildings face the center arena, separated by a large amount of void. Best to not try to break out of this box. Oh, did I mention? There is no exit here. You are entirely surrounded by glass walls, allowing you to see in every direction. Above you in a glass ceiling, and a ways above that are giant squares of stone floating in space. Is that.. The maze? Or some other structure? There are no identifying details present to give you any hints about what it may be, and if it is the maze, there are no details about which way you may want to go. The only thing in this room that isn't made of transparent glass are the benches. Beautiful, hand carved marble benches. Intricate designs of frogs and water extended up from the legs of the benches, each of different species and sizes. Every single bench was unique in some way. There were just enough seats for everyone at the beginning, though if you find this too cozy, do not fret! More seats will become available in no time. The audio from the match will be projected in to the room.. With seemingly no source. A closer view of the two competitors will also be displayed on one of the glass walls, since your birds eye view is a bit hard to parse. Please find your seat and enjoy the show. (edited)

Kiran froze to their tracks, trying to tie a palm frond around their lanky waist like a skirt. They're like that, still like a statue, staring with wide eyes for quite a while, until they somehow process the situation. "...Well dang. Good thing I dressed for the occasion..." They mumble, and back off into a corner to finish trying to get the skirt hold on.

Celena blinked as she appeared in the stands. "Where-" Celena's voice ended with a choked sound of petrified fear. The girl's gaze was locked on the floor. Below her, the familiar galaxy swirled with its entrancing colors and swirls. Planets, stars, and comets was only separated from her because of a piece of glass. Celena, unknowingly, began to sway. Her breathing became quick and shallow. As terrified as she was, she couldn't bring herself to move. She was frozen. 'I can't do this, I can't do this, I can't do this i can't do this i can'tdothisicantdothishgjdkfsf-' Celena's thoughts diminished into inhuman fear, but she couldn't move a muscle. All she could do was stare.

Damien just stared out at the crumbling arena, eyes fixed on the woman who didnt make it. He was very clearly horrified.

Nora stared on, watching in terrified silence as that girl disappeared into the void. Body trembling from fear as the girl’s voice cried out one final time.

"Oh." Yeonaixho listened to Isabelle's sobs without full context of all that happened, his expression fearfully vacant. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"The girl who fell just disintegrated in to nothing. So. I think she lost." @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

"Oh- oh." Yeonaixho wrapped his hands around his body. He looked sick. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

The darkness. The cold, unforgiving darkness. The void had been calling, and now, the void had received. Celena watched with wide eyes as the other girl- As Madison floated in space. The weight of panic began to set into her chest. Her entire body began to tremble and shake. At her hands, light began to flicker. "N-no-" Celena choked up as she stumbled backwards. Her breathing began to race. It felt like she couldn't catch her breath- Oh god, she was hyperventilating, oh god, oh fuck she couldn't breathe- "NO!!!"

Damien was frozen in place during the various freakouts happening around him, turning from the fight to the others, eyes moving to each in turn before he looked back at the sky and just closed his eyes, leaning against one of the walls heavily.

Atanasio just stared at arena and Isabelle. He didnt exactly know how to feel about all of this now. Especially, when he saw Isabelle reach for Madison as she fell into space. Something about that haunted him... but right now, Atanasio just stared in silence.

Nathan had been watching the fight quietly- scouting out the arena, the contestants, the hazards -inbetween looking around the stands for some sort of escape. Not that there was one to be found, really. Damn. "Celena?" Nathan suddenly said, standing up from whatever seat he had managed to snag before. Nora, some other guy, Juno, some other other guy- There, wheezing and stumbling and generally not having a good time- Uh oh. "Celena!" they called, somewhat louder, quickly making their way through the rows of seats to get to her. Especially with her powers going- going? "Hey, Cele- Celena, hey- easy, hey-" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"N-NO!! St-stay away- STAY AWAY!" Celena shrieked as she backed away further. She lost her footing and dropped to her knees, which caused another shriek of fright to escape her. The glass quickly met her, the dark was too close- EVerything felt like it was swirling around- Hard to breathe, hard to think, hard to process anything- Pain. She processed pain spreading up from her hands up her arms. Her powers were beginning to get the best of her as her emotions were running rampant now. This wasn't- This hadn't happened in so long, she tried to remain in control- She couldn't anymore. Immediately, Celena groaned and doubled over, wrapping her arms around her abdomen. The light continued to creep up her arms as the scent of burnt flesh began to fill the air. "St-stay away- Please-!" Celena begged through her tears. "Shit-" Nathan wheezed, rushing a little quicker as Celena tripped. Yet they stopped dead in their tracks at her cries- and at her powers starting to arise again. Shit! "Hey- hey, Celena, take it easy, okay? It-" Ares, that smell- They groaned a little at that, eyes scrunched up as they. Tried. To get used to that. He could not. They took a little half-step back, but still tried to remain somewhat close to Celena. "It's me, it's Nathan-" they managed out, extending his hand ever briefly. "I'm not gonna hurt you- promise, okay? You're alright, you're gonna be alright, the fight's over." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Nora is staring at the two. She remains where she is, trembling.

Damien is just waiting until they're all returned to where they were before. He didn't want to open his eyes and have to stare at this glass box or the ended fight.

“No, no, no, just- Stay back! Stay away, please- I-it’s not okay- It’s- I c-can’t- I CAN’T!! Can’t, not again!” Celena squeezed her eyes shut. She couldn’t handle looking at space, she couldn’t handle the tension and the fear and the burning- The pain was grounding, everything around her was swirling like the cosmos below, but the pain was grounding. “I-I won’t do it! Not again! You can’t make me- You can’t make me!” Celena dug her nails into her burnt and glowing palms. It was as though she hardly heard Nathan. @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

The voice yelling her name snapped her to attention. Her head quickly turned to the voice, fear clear on her face. She trembled, then let out a little sob. She couldn’t get herself to respond, or get up, or stop crying. (edited)

Yeonaixho couldn't discern Nora's crying over the many other wails and conversations going on. Fucking idiot. He called out again, "Nora!" @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

Nora held herself tightly, she was terrified. Terrified and feeling so very lost. She looked to Juno, calling for her once more. Not alone not alone- Dad. Safe. ..Her body shook as she slowly got to her feet, walking over to him like he was a lifeline in a frigid ocean. “..dad..” Her voice was so weak. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

"Nora!" Yeonaixho repeated, though not as a searching cry- as a sigh of relief. He bent down to her. "Nora, I'm so happy to hear your voice. Are you alright? That was- this is all so crazy. I don't really know what happened. Are you okay?" @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

On the glass facing the arena, images of Madison and Isabelle appeared. Madison's image faded out in to greyscale before disappearing, and Isabelle's picture center on the frame with bit of projected confetti. Rakin's voice appeared in the room again. "Congratulations to our winner, Isabelle. She has selected to stay in the A side, and unlock the South expansion. I will now go over who will be switching sides." Images of those he was speaking about appeared as he said them. "Nora, Theora, Celena, and Calamity will be going to the B side." "Lykos, Miles, Sovran, and Julien will be going to the A side." "I hope this switch-up keeps things from getting stale. Good luck everyone." (Feel free to continue your scenes in here until you feel fit for them to end, and then have your character react!) A bolt of lightning cracked across the room, sending everyone back to their assigned sides. @everyone

By the time the fight has finished, Mallon’s frozen in place. Between the images on the screen and the yelling and the crying and every other reaction, coupled with the pain spiking through their head, it’s all they can do to keep themself upright as they stumble back into a corner with a halfhearted scraping hiss. Not that it does them much good— they’ve barely even processed what’s going on in the announcements before they’re gone again.

They weren't good at this, whole comforting people stuff. In fact, if they had a nickel for every time they had to comfort someone and failed at it, they would be rolling in money. Celena was hurting. Bad. Really bad. And they didn't really know what to do at all. There was something awful, something cruel, something bad that happened to her, and she- she was still a kid, man. It hurt. Awful hurt. "Take some deep breaths," Nathan quietly said after a moment, kneeling down on the ground in front of Celena to make him seem...less intimidating. "It's okay, I, I gotcha, alright? 'M'not gonna hurt'cha, I- I promise." Their fists curled into the fabric of their pants, just hoping, hoping, for Celena to come back to them. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"I-I don't wanna go," Celena mumbled as she slowly raised her head. "I-I can't- I can't do this." She looked past Nathan as she watched an image of herself appear. Faintly, she could hear Nathan and Rakin speaking. She couldn't respond, she couldn't find the words. Switching sides? She was switching? She would be leaving Nathan, and Juno, she- She didn't WANT to go, she didn't want to leave the only sense of safety she had received for the first time in god knows how long. Too much- Too much was happening, too much was happening- Pathetically, Celena looked back down, her gaze locking onto the galaxy below her. It was slightly blurry due to her tears, but the suns glimmered brightly. The void was calling. It wouldn't be long before it whisked her away. @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

“I- I’m ssscared..! Sh-she died.. w- we’re-” She was cut off as she heard her name. She’s being- She wails. She actually grabs onto Juno. Weak and desperate and terrified. “No no no no no- dad- DAD! I DON’T- DON’T GO!! DON’T-” And she was gone.

"Nora- Nora, find Jymaiyri! Find her!" Was all Yeonaixho could say before Nora vanished. He collapsed to his knees, before he, too, was teleported away. @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

Kiran followed the fight with mild interest and confusion. They stayed in the corner, leaning on it with their arms crossed. When it all ended... they felt their heart starting to race, as they watched Madison fall into atoms. So... that's how... They gripped their arms as other people were yelling and making noise, and then, they all got zapped out.

On the glass facing the arena, images of Ko and Scott appeared. Scott's image faded out in to greyscale before disappearing, and Ko's picture centered on the frame with bit of projected confetti. Rakin's voice appeared in the room again. "Congratulations to our winner, Ko. She has selected to move to the B side, and unlock the South expansion below the phone room. I will now go over who will be switching sides." Images of those he was speaking about appeared as he said them.

"Kiran, Moses, Damien, and Kevin will be going to the B side."

"Riki, Kian, Nora, and Celena will be going to the A side."

Nora stares down into the arena, completely still aside from her trembling. She feels like she’s falling, the world sinking further and further away from her. The sudden contact brings her back. She takes her sister’s hand, shaking with each breath as she tries to keep herself together. (edited)

"Th-there he i-is.." Zora whispered. She squeezed Nora's hand just as tightly as she continued to shake. Zora wanted to state that she was scared, but surely, that much had to have been obvious at this point. She did her best to not look at the outer space that surrounded them, and instead kept her gaze on her Papá. @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

This was the first time Nathan had ever felt. Stressed watching this. Most certainly because it was someone he knew fighting now. "Get his ass," Nathan hissed through his teeth, watching the screens intently. "Win this thing, Naixho."

Sovran scooted a bit closer to Jymaiyri. "It'll be alright," He spoke quietly. "He's got this." With that, he fell silent and kept his gaze on the scene.

"H-he's doing good.." Zora sighed with relief.

“He.. he needs to.. t-to be okay.. p-please… please…!” Nora’s heart was still racing with terror.

Jymaiyri held Minerva close to her chest, shielding the infant's view of the fight. She watched the arena, not daring to tear her eyes away for a moment.

Isabelle is slowly curling up. This is not looking great.

Nora watches in terrified silence. Her body rigid aside from each racking tremor of held back sobs. He was doing so well, why did he stop!? Why wasn’t he running?! She cannot bring herself to look away. She has to see him. Hold onto him for as long as she can. She cringes with each attack. The monster attacking him, his blood covering their claws, it terrified her. Still, she will not look away. (edited)

Nora didn’t have a choice in the matter when it finally happened. Zora had let out a choked noise as she scrambled up to her feet when it was about to happen. She just seemed to know that death was coming. She set her bunny on the bench and found her hand reaching for Nora’s face. Her hand quickly covered Nora’s eyes as Zora squeezed her own eyes shut. Too late. As the monster’s claws rip through Juno’s chest, Nora tears away from Zora, running to the glass. Running to her dad. The girl falls to her knees, her hands slamming against the glass as she screams. Her body shakes with each wail, her voice nothing but a stream of aching grief. Her fears are answered. Her nightmares are real. Juno is dead. The world that was just beginning to feel safe was shattering around her. She felt sick with fear, a sort of terror she hadn’t felt in a long time. Primal and deep, tearing into her core. She was going to die here. (edited)

Zora began to sob loudly as Nora screamed. She cautiously stepped toward the other girl and knelt down beside her. Zora didn’t offer any words of comfort- How in the world could she after what they had just witnessed? Nothing would be okay. Her big sister mask was breaking as she continued to cry. All she could do was reach out to take Nora’s hand again, clinging to her for dear life. All she could do was feel that her sister was still with her, and together, they could grieve the father they had just gained and just lost. @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

At first, it was difficult to tell what was going on- but once her husband started sputtering and coughing up blood, once that beast had sunk its claws into his open chest, she realized what was happening. Her husband was dying. Yeonaixho was dying. He was gone. She shrieked when she realized it- for in that moment, her body could produce nothing but shrill terror. "Yeonaixho!" She shouted helplessly, desperately, her voice shrill and straining and pained. "Yeonaixho, please! Yeonai!" Slowly, her cries devolved into sobbing, choking heaves. "Yeonaixho... Yeonaixho, please..." Of course, Minerva began to cry as her mother did. Still unaware of what had happed, where her Papa had gone and what had become of him, she cried out in confusion, anguish, and all the fear her little body could muster. “Oh, Jymaiyri,” Sovran winced as Jymaiyri, understandably, broke down. To hear her screams and wails broke his heart to thousands of pieces. When she sat down, Sovran did the only thing he could think of: He pulled the mother and daughter into a tight hug. “I gotcha, I gotcha,” He gently soothed. “It’s o-” It’s okay. That didn’t feel like the right thing to say, not after such a brutal death. “I gotcha,” He simply said. “I gotcha.” Yeonaixho had requested him to keep an eye out for Jymaiyri and Minerva. Jymaiyri leaned into Sovran as he embraced her, and her sobs seemed to lull- though, it seemed more due to her voice dying than anything else. Minerva too, calmed, if only because she was surrounded by warmth. "Please-" Jymaiyri held Minerva up to Sovran, her voice a husk. "The baby..." In so little words, her plead was clear. “Of course, of course,” Sovran spoke softly as he gave Jymaiyri one last squeeze. “Whatever you need, I gotcha, Jymaiyri.” Sovran took the baby into his arms, settling her comfortably so she could rest in his arms and against his chest. Though Jymaiyri lingered by Sovran's side, she turned her gaze back to the arena- in desperate hope Yeonaixho might be fine now. Of course, he wasn't. She buried her face in her hands. Even through the tears, through the sobs, Nora fixated on her dad. She watched as the monster gored him, tearing out his innards. All she could manage was a weak sob. Everything felt so cold. Zora’s voice was far away as she weakly pawed at the glass, trying fruitlessly to reach her dad. She could almost taste his blood in her mouth. Her anguished mind fought to find anything to make sense of this. Why it happened, why did he have to leave her- It brought forth the memory of death- that horrible, rotting smell emerged from her mind, choking her. She felt just as helpless as back then. It felt like her body was shutting down from all of the stress, all of these emotions far too much to handle. She could barely process Nathan’s embrace, Minerva’s wails, her mom’s cries as she called for him. Everything was cold. Numb. “How ‘bout I show you some of the cool stuff I can do, huh?” Sovran managed a grin. The metal from his rings shifted off from his fingers as the metal floated into a little orb a bit above Minerva. It reformed itself into various shapes and sizes. “N-Nathan-!” Zora sobbed once he came closer. She couldn’t stand the sight of someone trying to put the organs back inside of Yeonaixho. She couldn’t stand the squelching sounds. Everything hurt to look at. She couldn’t stand this. It was overwhelming and suffocating and she still felt nauseous and all she could think of how many people she’s lost and how she’s lost Juno now and how she was probably destined to just keep on losing people and what was the damn point and- Still clutching Nora’s hand, she turned and buried her face into Nathan’s shoulder. Her other hand clung to their shirt as she wept into it. “H-h-he’s- He’s- O-oh, Nathan-” Zora wept. “H-he’s- He’s-” She could hardly get the words out. Sovran would be damned if this baby saw the scene. He used his body to keep blocking the view, and he headed further back in the rows of seats away from the glass. With a small flick of his finger, he used the element of light to add some sparkles to the scene. Oh, Jymaiyri. Sovran wanted to embrace her once more, but he turned his focus back to the baby. For her, he’d keep Minnie distracted. The sparkles continued to shimmer and shine in radiant colors. Nora feels empty. So infinitely empty. The happiness that she once held- sat with her family under the shade making bracelets, like a promise. It was a promise to stay together for her. His body was ribbons now. A darkness of the red she loved. All of her happiness was stolen from her. That was the emptiness. She felt so whole with them and now. Now he’s gone. He’s not coming back. There weren't any words Kian could of said to properly describe the emotions running through his chest. He had sat alone, quietly examining what this fight would entail. He wasn't close to Yeonaixho or Mallon, but he was still curious to see what this world's Yeonaixho was like. Just who was he, exactly? It was shocking to see Mallon be so incredibly violent. The amount of destruction at the end.. It made Kian's stomach toil. He could hear loud soubs and shouting, and he turned to see none other than Celena and her family there. He wanted to go up there and counsole them, but when he also spotted Sovran doing just that, Kian stayed seated. It wasn't his place to go to them... No. It was better he didn't get involve. Kian frowned, tightly holding onto his cape and decorative roses.

Riki had stayed by Jymaiyri's side through the fight. Silent, and focused on the scene, but hoping to provide some moral support with his presence. He was totally reacting to everything accordingly even though I wasn't here to rp it aha. Once the fight was over, he remained where he stood while Jymaiyri and Sovran moved to the seats. He stared at the arena with his eyes wide, stiff as a statue. Even his tails had frozen in place behind him. He had seen violence, many criminals and troublemakers, but never had he seen such animalistic rage. Where did all that hatered come from? Why did Yeonaixho, who had come across as such a sweet and peaceful soul, deserve to die like this? He watched the scene quietly, a storm of emotion and thoughts in him churning as cries filled his ears. Why? Why did this have to happen? Why were they doomed to this cruel fate? Why did Yeonaixho's family have to witness this macabre sight, this horrible bloodshed, the brutal murder of their beloved? The fox' fur was standing on end, and a quiet rumble slowly rose from his throat, deep, and menacing, growing stronger. His eyes shone brighter, and his pupils were slowly narrowing. He wanted to howl, to roar, to scream at this injustice. He wanted to sink his fangs and claws into Rakin and trash him around like a field mouse. He pressed his hand on the glass and dragged his claws across it, but took a deep breath, forcing his growling down. This wasn't the place for an outburst. It would only upset the children further. Minerva still watched the sparkles with interest, trying to catch them in her hands and almost smiling at the warmth when she did. It was clear she was still worried, most likely from the overwhelming dismal atmosphere, but the sparkles were doing a lot to distract her. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Riki leaned in closer to her, moving his hand across Jymaiyri's shoulders and held her close. "...I know..." He leaned his head lightly against Jymaiyri's, and wrapped his tails softly around her. His voice was quiet, low, and husky, holding back the emotions he had trapped in his chest. "...I'm sorry..." @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

"Why?" She begged, though she knew Riki wouldn't have the answer. "Why did he have to die like this- no one else had to die like this! Everyone else got shot into space, but he-" She winced. @Twig | Kiran + Riki

Zora continued to cry hard. The sensation of a hug and the fingers through her hair should’ve been comforting, it always had been, but she could hardly acknowledge it. She had made the mistake of lifting her head to glance once more at Papá when she saw the new scene that was occurring. Biting back a shriek of terror, she turned and buried her face back into Nathan’s shoulder for comfort. “H-he’s go-gone,” Zora choked out. Seeing the removal of his heart made her feel as though her own was missing. “I-I- I can’t-” Zora’s breathing began to race, and soon, a lightheaded feeling washed over her. She clung tightly to Nathan and Nora’s hand as she tried to steady her breathing, but all she could think of was Juno’s corpse. All she could remember was everyone fading away before her very eyes. All she could remember was feeling alone and terrified. She wasn’t alone right now, but how long would that last? How long would it be until Nathan’s fight? Nora’s? Jymaiyri? How long would it be until Zora was all alone again? Her thoughts continued to race just as her breathing did. “W-wa-wanna w-wake up,” Zora gasped out. “B-bad dre-dream- H-has to b-be..” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡ @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

Sovran continued to rock Minerva as he created the sparkles. He began to create a small firework effect with them, where the sparkles would gather together, ‘burst’ apart into a fun shape, and rain back down on Minerva. He did it repeatedly to try and soothe and distract the baby. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

The fox held the woman a little tighter, a pained frown on his face. "I don't know..." Riki replied somberly, watching the gory remains of Jymaiyri's beloved. "...Perhaps, they knew you were one of the strongest minds herem and they wanted to break your spirit. Your family..." he spared a glance at the grieving children, "...is inviting and loving. Breaking it will cause pain, and anger, hatred... it all works in their favor", Riki sighed. "...Do you know who that person is?" @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Somehow, it felt worse to imagine it was all planned and staged, rather than a random act of violence. Still, Jymaiyri leaned into Riki. "The- the man in the arena? I think it's Agustin. He was on the other side." @Twig | Kiran + Riki

Hells. What could he do? He wasn't good at this stuff. He didn't know how to help like Yeonaixho did. He knew how to help people breathe deeply, in-out, and that was it, man. He was distantly aware of Nora, still as ever yet shaking like a leaf- and he kept holding on to the girl. "Hey, don't look- hey," Nathan fumbled out when he felt Zora shift, immediately making that same mistake by glancing up at the screens as well. Eugh. Augh. That was Stuff for sure. "Hey, it- it's- you're gonna be alright, hey-" It really wasn't going to be alright. Not really. Not by a long shot. He knew people were going to die here- he was pretty sure of that the moment the first fight happened -but there was just something worse about this than being shot into space. Like, much worse. "Deep breaths," was all he could really say, holding Zora a little closer to him. "It's just like a nightmare, just take deep breaths, m'kay? M'here for you guys. Focus on breathing, don't look, just- yeah, m'here for you guys, alright?" Kids. Just kids, young and alone and alone again. "M'not gonna leave until you guys are alright, okay?" he asked. Jymaiyri could not help but be comforted like a child, her weeping soft and pained. She could already feel Yeonaixho's absence, as strong as his presence had been in her life. “Sleepy, huh? Alright, let’s get you to sleep, then.” Sovran smiled. He reformed his metal back into rings and had them slip back onto his fingers. The fireworks died away. He shifted Minerva so that way she was lying comfortably in his arms with her head against his chest, right over his heart. She’d be able to hear the steady beating of his heart, a soothing rhythm in all of the chaos around them. Sovran began to gently rock the baby, adding in a slight bouncing motion to it. Then, he began to hum. It was a soft little tune, one that he had hummed often to the little ones back home when he would help put them to sleep. This all felt warmly familiar to him, and he found himself adoring every second of it. Riki's voice was gentle as he mumbled comforting words, and his embrace was soft - man was covered in fluff - but his chest was stiff and his heartbeat was frantic. It felt like just a few moments ago, he had sat in the shelter, talking with Yeonaixho about poetry, and now, the beautiful young man was maimed in shreds, lifeless, dead. As a soldier, Riki wasn't stranger to death, but this felt different. To hold a grieving wife, trying to console her as the love of her life slowly bled dry in the battlefield... Riki couldn't help his own eyes tearing up, as he continued to slowly rock Jymiayri from side to side, and pet her head. "Let it all out... I'm here for you. Hells. What could he do? He wasn't good at this stuff. He didn't know how to help like Yeonaixho did. He knew how to help people breathe deeply, in-out, and that was it, man. He was distantly aware of Nora, still as ever yet shaking like a leaf- and he kept holding on to the girl. "Hey, don't look- hey," Nathan fumbled out when he felt Zora shift, immediately making that same mistake by glancing up at the screens as well. Eugh. Augh. That was Stuff for sure. He knew people were going to die here- he was pretty sure of that the moment the first fight happened -but there was just something worse about this than being shot into space. Like, much worse. And he'd be back by dinner time. He'd be back. She closed her eyes, and she could almost convince herself he'd be back. But the pain of absence remained. "He's gone." She repeated. Zora’s hold on Nora’s hand tightened desperately. She pressed her face deeper into Nathan’s shoulder. No words were spoken from her as her sobs completely had taken over. Nathan's eyes darted over to Nora the second he heard her speak- the first word she's said in a good bit- and slowly began to run their fingers through her hair as well. They wished they could say they knew Yeonaixho. He patched them up once. He was kind to them, too. It felt hard to grieve the same way as they did as his family, witnessing their pà's death firsthand. "I'm sorry," he said, regardless of the uselessness of it all. His bracelet felt like it was burning. "I'm sorry."

As Nathan ran his fingers through her hair, they would feel how messy it was. Running into tangle after tangle, it was clear no one took care of it. There was an attempt before. Zora continued to weep uncontrollably. She didn’t have the strength to do anything else but cry. All she wanted to do was curl up under the seats and stay there forever. Then, she wouldn’t have to hurt anymore. Zora would always hurt. She lost too many people. Bonds always led to misery and pain. She outlived everyone. She didn’t expect her newly made dad to be killed right before her eyes. This was the second time she had to experience a dad dying before her. She was tired of it. So, so tired. Nora had continued to stare at the corpse through her blurry tears. Unmoving aside from the occasional tremor. Then Nathan’s name was called. The arm around Nora was grabbed suddenly, hard. She was holding him like a vice, shaking violently with weak whimpers, growing louder by the second. “d-don’t go- p-please, please, y-YOU C-CAN’T- hh- PLEASE!! Y-YOU!! YOU CAN’T D-DIE TOO!! PLEASE!! DON’T GO!!” The emptiness was replaced by a primal terror- the need to hold on by any means- she can’t lose anyone else. In a desperate attempt to stop fate, Nora frantically wrapped red string along his arm. Zora had a similar response. Already in tears, this simply made the tears worse. She clung to Nathan desperately, almost in a child-like way. Her hand was grasping Nathan’s hoodie for dear life as her other hand held onto Nora’s hand. The two felt like the only things in this world keeping her together. Without them, Zora felt as though she would completely unwind as a person and cease to exist. “D-don’t go,” Zora begged as though Nathan had a say in the matter. “Please! D-don’t-! Nathan's head snapped up the moment they heard their name, and their heart- whole, intact, safe, alive -dropped straight into the pit of their stomach. "Shit!" they hissed, in some attempt to rid that gnawing feeling. "Shit!" The wailing and begging was beginning again, though for a much different reason now. Him. He was leaving now. He was leaving them now, out of all the possible fucking swaps that could have happened, he was leaving them now. Who would take care of them? Who would take care of the family? Yeonaixho was gone. Jymaiyri was grieving- they all were. And he was leaving them, too. "I- I-" they helplessly said, watching Nora wrap loop after loop of string around his arm. Red, vibrant, pure, holy. "I'm gonna be fine- okay? We're gonna be fine, okay? We- just- just-" There it was again- that primordial, crackling feeling in his throat. Fear? Panic? He didn't know. Zora made a choked up noise when Nathan disappeared. Just like that, once again, someone she cared about disappeared before her eyes. Her throat hurt from crying and wailing, and it hurt even more when she called out Nathan's name. Just like that, they were gone. Just like that. "You alright, kid?" Sovran blinked through his daze as he rested a hand on her shoulder. "I'm here, I'm right here." @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Nora managed to move her hat just in time to block the blinding light. The second it was gone she looked back to the arena, looking for Zora and Nathan.

There was another flash of bright, Nora watched helplessly as Zora was struck once more. She fell to her knees, tears blurring as Zora didn’t get up this time. Not even a day and this was the second loved one she’s lost. It was hardly a day of them being a family. This time she was alone. Zora and Nathan weren’t here to comfort her, to hold her as everything fell apart. She watched as Nathan bargained. One sibling’s life exchanged for the other. There was nothing she could do as the world fell apart in front of her, under Nathan, taking him away from her. That was it. She would never see him again. They would never make pottery with her, or say things she didn’t understand, but was happy to hear anyway because she was happy to hear their voice. To be with him. She would never hear him again. He was gone. The pain didn’t feel as numb this time. It was a sharp ache in her chest as she could feel his place in her heart carved hollow once more with loneliness. She sobbed, holding herself as grief ate away at her.

Kian had followed along with Connie and Sovran to the fight. He had to cheer on his immortal bestie, after all! He sat mostly quiet, as the fight seemed to be more of a game show than actual fight, but that all quickly changed in a blink of an eye. So much happened, it was almost too much to process at once. When Celena and Nathan were being attacked, Kian had stood up from his seat in a panic. "Celena..! N-No.." The earlier part of the fight played in his mind. What is Celena's real name? Zora... Kian couldn't help but frown as it crossed his mind again. He didn't want to learn of it like this. How awful. Celena must of had her reasons, so until she gave Kian permission to call her that, he wasn't going to. She was still Celena to him. Kian watched in horror as the fight went on, and when Calamity was introduced, Kian scrunched his face in confusion. What..? Who was that? Another contestant? Why was she helping Rakin? The bright light that Celena released blinded him for the majority of the rest of the fight. He only caught a glimpse at the very end, and that was of the floor disappearing once again. Had Celena won..? Kian wasn't sure. His hearing was filled with someone's cries once again. Was that Connie..? No, it didn't sound like her. Was it the other girl who was with Celena during Yeonaixho's fight..? Regardless, squeezing his eyes shut, Kian raised his hand to leave the fight before Sovran and Connie. He couldn't handle all of the noise and chaos.

... No one would be leaving. No announcement came in the next two hours.

An obstacle course…for birds. Kenji’s not as tense as before watching this fight—but once the winner is announced and the space begins to enter he freezes in place. It takes a considerable amount of effort not to look away as the losing contestant dissolves into the void, even more so to keep a hold on Amara gripping at the edges. And unfortunately, Isabelle seemed to be right. Not much that could help him piece together things here. But then the announcement rings out, and the shock of it is enough to catch him off guard with a sharp pain in his head. “Wh— Wait, w-wait, over there— Talk to Lykos if you can!” She won’t be here to see the tv room like he’d planned on telling her, at least not right now, but Lykos knows more with this than him anyways. Then he’s gone too. Back to the A side

Wordlessly, images of Calamity and Tsubari came up on the glass in front of them. The image of Calamity faded away, leaving only Tsubari on the screen. Kiran watched the fight in deep confusion. They could hardly concentrate on the events, since the setting was stealing the show. They couldn't help but wonder what the arena would be like in their fight, and who their opponent would be. Probably nobody they knew, since they hadn't talked to many people. As Calamity burned herself to ashes, Kiran watched keenly and with a tense frown. They listened to what she said, and it sounded like she had found out more about the motives behind this whole event. Hm. And when she was gone, Kiran stood back from the glass, and sighed. They felt a little emptier, for some reason.

He glanced out the glass, looking as Moses was talking to Connie. That was the girl Sovran was talking about. The person he said he was really close with and took under his wing. Nora was fidgeting with the small crystal bear Moses had gifted her. She didn’t want either of them to die- they were her friends, they were kind. She reached for Zora’s hand, squeezing it tightly.

When Moses had disappeared, tears fell from Kian's eyes. Even if he didn't know who he was in this universe, he still felt sad. Especially because Maki was close to him. He thought when the fight was over, things would go like they did last time, but instead, Rakin had another trick up his sleeve. He watched with wide eyes as the winners were being forced to vote for someone back. "Wh.. W-What's going on..?" @Cap! | Maki🧿 + Andre🌾

I just want to go home. Maki wrote. Now I have no real home. Moses was gonna take me home with him. Their hand trembled. Vote for him! He knows what he's doing! @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Slowly, he read over Maki's notes, frowning a bit as he saw their desperation. It sounded to him like people were going to vote for Yeonaixho back, which made sense, considering things... but Kian knew Maki didn't need to hear that right now. "T-This is so cruel... Making us watch people we care about die.. t-then dangle a fruit like this. What more does Rakin want from us..?" @Cap! | Maki🧿 + Andre🌾

Nora watched silently, clutching her kitty like a lifeline. She didn’t understand what was happening. People couldn’t come back from death. They couldn’t. But… maybe if it was true, everything could be okay again. Zora and her could have their dad back. She could feel safe again. She continued to watch quietly, hugging herself for comfort. (edited)

Nora gasped, staring with disbelief at him. ”Nathan?” He was here, he was breathing. The other pillar cracked, and Nora fell to her knees as sobs wracked her tiny frame. Her hands pushed against the glass weakly, reaching out for her family- Her dad, her brother. They were real, alive. She cried quietly, pressing her head against the glass to be closer.

Nora saw their waving! Wiping away a few tears, she let out a little laugh and waved back.

On the glass facing the arena, images of Connie and Moses appeared. Moses' image faded out in to greyscale before disappearing, and Connie's picture centered on the frame with bit of projected confetti. Rakin's voice appeared in the room again. "Congratulations to our winner, Connie. She has selected to stay on the A side, and unlock the north expansion of B side. Before I discuss who's going where..." Images of all ten losers appeared on screen in gray. One by one, all but two faded away. Nathan and Yeonaixho. They regained their color and grew in size on the screen. "Congratulations to our lucky losers that were voted back, Nathan and Yeonaixho. This was decided by popular vote, if all of you that are not here are curious. Now, to discuss sides.." Images of those he was speaking about appeared as he said them. "Yeonaixho and Damien will be going to the B side." "Nathan, Connie, and Aldreda will be going to the A side." (Feel free to continue your scenes in here until you feel fit for them to end, and then have your character react!) The announcement of names also played if your characters didn't attend the fight in their respective sides A bolt of lightning cracked across the room, sending everyone back to their assigned sides.

Aldreda was here, looking at the screens intently. ".. What the hell.." She mumbled.

Kian gripped Cansu, clearly anxious about what was happening. "Y-Ye..Yeah.." Was all he could really say. "M-Miss Jymaiyri.. she's in that building.." He frowned as he saw the woman start walking, before glancing over towards Nora. Why was she in such a bad looking house..? @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Connie was zapped into the stands, very clearly not liking any of this. Why was it so scary? And why was Rakin so cruel? Nora and Miss Jymaiyri... Connie groaned, shuffling anxiously in place. Anxiety twisted in the pit of her stomach.

Lingering at the back of the stands, was Connie. She watched the little pair and screen quietly.

"O-oh god oh god-" It didn't sound like Zora would be calming down any time soon. She grasped Nathan's hand tighter as she began to bounce from the amount of terror that was welling up inside of her. There was too much panicked energy inside of her to even think about calming down. "Th-that's a big fall- Oh, Nora, oh, Nora." Zora blinked repeatedly. Her tears were threatening to fall. Fall mentioned yippee hurray "Ssst, shiit," Nathan hissed, partially from Zora's hand and mostly from that ominous drop down there. "Icarus, Icarus, Icarus, don't, c'mahn." Yup. "Y-Yeah.. one person dies per fight.. but Yeonaixho was... killed by the other person. Most usually just lose and die because Rakin puts them out in space.." Kian explained with a strained frown. The boy returned to look at the screens, his eyes staring with horror. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"Ah, yes, that's definitely one way to kill a human." Was all Cansu said in response to all of that. He didn't say anything else and watched the screens. Part of him was intrigued, but another part of him.. Felt a way that he had never felt before. ".. Have you had your match already? Or have you come out of it victorious?" Kian held Cansu closer to his chest, very slowly shaking his head. "N-No... I haven't yet," he answered with a shaky voice. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

The feeling inside of Cansu grew worse. Still, he couldn't put a finger as to what emotion that was. Cansu preened at some of his feathers. That eased the feeling. "I see.." @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

"What the fuck," Nathan wheezed, as the doppelganger...moved. Bled. "This- this is so messed up. This is so messed up." They were going to strangle Rakin when they got the chance. (There was a bit of strangling happening on the other screen, though.) @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Zora felt sick to her stomach seeing Nora- the Other Nora in such a state. The healer in her wanted to leap into action, but she remained still. All she could do was stare. "I h-hate this, I hate this- I hate this.." The hand against a glass formed into a fist. Nails dug into the palm of her hand, and she could feel crescent moon shaped cuts forming. "Oh, Nora," Nathan quietly breathed. Something twisted in the pit of their stomach as they stared at the mirror. She wanted her parents- her family. (She mentioned it before. Zora squeezed back just as tightly, if not, even more tighter. She remained staring at Nora's screen, unable to tear her gaze away. Nora wanted a family. She wanted them. Her tears began to roll down her cheeks. That was the kind of life she wanted with Nora. One filled with sunshine, fields of flower, of endless laughter, this- This meant everything to her, and it meant everything to Nora. ..Nora really wanted a family with them, huh. Nathan watched the screen silently, fingers tangled in the strings even more. Nathan's eyes flicked to the floor with the crib in the center. There were two figures approaching. "It's time," they quietly said. Their voice crackled with something primal. "Th-they're gonna go at it," Zora hiccuped. Suddenly, her free hand went to her bracelet, and she gripped it tightly before giving it a strong tug. She hoped that Nora could feel it, that she knew that her sister was there with her. Kiran couldn't relax after that stupid clown had been bothering them, so they decided to go see how the woman with the family was doing in her fight. --- This fight. What the actual. Fuck. Kiran stared with keen eyes as the girl snatched the totem, and backed away with it while the woman pleaded for her life. For the sake of her child. But the girl kept the totem. She kept it to stay alive. Kiran stared, wide eyed.

"I-I can't- Oh my- She won, she won!" Zora sobbed, pressing her hand back against the wall. "I'm so relieved- Nora, Nora, she did it!" Zora was far too focused on Nora to process that there was, in fact, a baby in there. @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

"Nora did it- whoo. Whoo." Nathan was so deeply stressed the entire time, that was awful. "Oh, Fates. She won." Nathan's eyes suddenly widened as the forcefield closed around Nora and Minnie- and as Jymaiyri began to...rot. They recoiled slightly, their nose wrinkled as the entire arena began to fall away. "Hey- hey, don't look," Nathan quickly said, lifting the blanket in front of Zora's face. "Don't- don't look." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu (edited)

Zora's wide smile instantly disappeared. A startled cry left her mouth before she covered it quickly. She felt sick. She was going to be sick. Zora dropped down to her knees and curled up into a ball. Her hand had gone limp in Nathan's embrace and tried to pull away. Through her nose, she took in rapid breaths that made her feel lightheaded. Too warm- She felt too warm- Her head was- Spinning- Dots danced in her vision- Hear hearing was starting to turn into ringing. She was barely aware that Nathan was there as her eyes became glazed over. The flames had burned nearly everything away. The stench of burnt flesh and dead bodies was thick in the air. The scent that stood out, though, was the smell of rotting flesh. That stench of rot and ruin was forever engraved into her memory. It was overwhelming, it was sickening, and it was even more sickening to see the sight of the decayed. It was exactly how Jymaiyri had looked, a gruesome reminder of what she had witnessed when she was just eleven years of age. Zora uncovered her mouth and promptly threw up. Her stomach cramped up, squeezing and twisting. Zora remained on the ground, trembling and hyperventilating. Her gaze remained locked on the floor. As she blinked, the floor would occasionally become a dirt floor underneath her. She was little again, small and afraid. Weak. Useless. A child in the midst of a pillaged small town. @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

She chose her life over the mother's. She chose herself. Kiran sat down, feeling an odd sense of... relief.

Then, they looked at Jymaiyri's body. Eugh. Gross. Why humans were weird. Though... that was the first time they saw that happening. Maybe it was more of a Jymaiyri thing than a human thing. (edited)

"Shit-" Nathan did some strange little dart-move-thing as Zora vomited, and immediately dropped to their knees next to Zora. They took care to avoid the puddle, instead, still holding onto her rather limp hand. They didn't know Jymaiyri that much. Talked to her once or twice, but that was...it. Yet still, the sight of that alone would have made anyone sick. (Their own stomach was twisting, but not...an awful amount. They had to focus on Zora first before anything.) "Hey, hey," they quietly said. "Deep breaths, take deep breaths, alright? Breathe in, deep breath out." They rubbed her back reassuringly, brows pinched together with worry. "I'm sorry, Zora. I'm really sorry. Just focus on breathing first, alright?" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Kiran cringed at the smell, and glanced at Zora with annoyance. The grief and suffering... not a good vibe. They stood up on he bench and bounded over the bench rows as far as possible from the others, and sat down towards the wall, watching the stars in the void.

Zora's gaze remained glued to the floor. She continued to hyperventilate, hardly processing that Nathan was there. Her body continued to tremble. There wasn't any comfort gained from Nathan's touch. Rather, she flinched away from it initially, curling up tighter on herself. She had dug through debris to the point where her fingers were burnt, bleeding, and full of splinters. She was desperate to find someone, anyone, who was alive. There had been a few individuals who had burned that had survived, but they didn't live long enough for Zora to even come close to healing them completely. Their chests had sputtered with the last of their breaths. She continued on through the small village. Hope remained in her chest that someone was alive. Maybe someone she knew. Most of all, she had hoped that her father had survived. He had told her to run, to run as fast as she could, to survive this and live on. He had to be around. He had to be alive. Nathan was never great with feelings. They couldn't read minds, or read emotions well either. But in that moment, they wanted to help, and they readjusted to kneel in front of Zora. The puddle was...safely kept away from. Their touch lifted as she flinched, briefly- before lightly settling against her back again. She continued to shake underneath their touch. Instead, they sat there, just holding Zora's hand, as they began to take deep, steady breaths- just like what Yeonaixho taught them. "Focus on breathing," they hummed. "Deep breaths, in-out." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

She had wandered for such a long time, begging and calling for her father, for anyone. Everyone had practically been killed off, and all for what? Money? This was a poor village, they didn’t have money. They ran on a trade-and-exchange type of society that functioned well with other small villages. This town had nothing to offer. She didn’t find her father. When she was 18, after resetting the universe and having to experience years upon years in space, she had sought out to stop the destruction of her village. Perhaps, she could make a difference! Maybe she could stop it from happening. She had arrived there, days too late, to the same gruesome sight that had a stench that had worsened with how many days passed on. The summer heat worsened everything. She kept going, kept searching. The only thing that was different about having to relive this particular trauma was the fact that she had found her- “D-dad..” Zora’s voice was barely that of a whisper. It was more of a quick exhale that could’ve easily been missed by Nathan. Her hyperventilating continued as the memories continued to have a tight grip on her. ...Shit, she was turning pale. Nathan swore he heard something, but he was a bit too focused on the fact that Zora was still panicking and by the sudden shift in complexion. "Zora, hey," Nathan said, with a little bit more urgency. Hells, he sounded like he was talking to a horse. "Hey, easy, I'm here. A-alright? Yeah, I'm here, just take it easy." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

(First paragraph blurred for gore+bug mention, the rest of the blurred stuff is flashback) She had found him horrendously disfigured and mutilated. There, in the ashes of his own home, her father had been killed gruesomely. His corpse remained full of bugs and other fiends. It was clear that he had gone out fighting based on the light scorch marks around, but he didn’t survive. Whoever had killed him had taken their time with this death and made it slow. Death, decay, rot, ruin, ashes- It had surrounded her and left her speechless. She didn’t know how long she had stood there, simply staring at the corpse. She knew it was for a long period of time. She knew that her legs had given out from underneath her. She could hardly process hitting the floor, she could hardly process weeping. Death, decay, rot, ruin, ashes- Tragedy followed wherever she went. Her heart was pounding in her chest. Her limbs and extremities were becoming pins and needles. Her complexion became paler. The dots danced in her vision, slowly growing bigger and bigger. She couldn’t seem to catch her breath.

"H-hey- hey, Zora?" It was definitely getting worse. Nathan's eyes widened with sudden fear, their mind immediately going- blank. It was pretty clear Zora was in deep, and they hadn't the faintest idea on what to do to help. Their eyes scanned the stands for someone who could know what to do- a kid, that strange tail guy from earlier, and that phoenixy lady. All of which he didn't know anything about. "Hey- c'mon, let's get you layin' down somewhere," Nathan tried to offer, trying to guide her to her feet. "Or- or lay down somewhere- here- let's just get you laying down, alright?" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Death, decay, rot, ruin, ashes. Death, decay, rot, ruin, ashes. Death, decay, rot, ruin, ashes. The memories continued to spiral in her mind until they slowly started to drift away. It was slow, painfully slow, but it was progress. Zora was slowly becoming aware of her body. Her limbs felt cold, but- There was a kind and warm touch. She tried to focus on that touch. Did her best to focus on it to pull herself out of the dark memories that haunted her. Her chest was hurting, her head felt like it had gone through a pinball machine. Everything hurt and was cold but the touch remained. She blinked. She was back in the arena, breathing quickly and being moved up to her feet. Her knees felt like they were made of jello. Mm. Jello sounded nice. If she fell to the floor, would her knees go splat like jello being dropped? Trembling legs struggled to keep her standing, but the touch kept her up-right. She looked at the touch and saw that it was a hand holding onto her. Connected to that hand was a wrist, an arm, and- A body. Zora - Huh, that was her name, right? Zora. That felt right. Zora was a person, barely standing and shaking and pale and breathing hard. Zora - looked to the face of the person who was holding her up. “N-Na-N’tthan..?” Zora barely managed out before she turned away to cough. Her chest hurt. Everything was hurting. Her head was going to split open. She wanted to go somewhere warm and safe. Everything was dizzy. She wasn’t fully in her mind yet. Where was she if she wasn’t in her mind? It was scary to think about. What was scary was that her knees were made out of jello and she didn’t know what to do. “J-jel-jello..” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡ (edited)

Just when Nathan was debating calling over the phoenix lady for help- Aldreda, yeah -Zora began to shift. Nathan's hold on her nearly slipped, but they managed to hold her upright without dropping her. Was she going to throw up again? When would they go back to the sides? They had to get water for her, and- and food, too- wait, was the river water drinkable? As Zora spoke, Nathan faltered, and as she looked up at them, their face broke out into a grin. Worried relief was written all over their face, but at least Zora seemed to be...alright. Breathing heavily and wheezing, but still, she seemed much better than before. "Yeah, Nathan, thas'me," they breathed, their voice all wobbly with stress. "Uh- um- jello?" Right. Standing. "Egh- making you stand probably was a bad idea," Nathan winced. "Do- do you want me to carry you? Help you sit at the bench? Uh- are you good?" They were asking too many questions at once. Breathe, big guy. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“H-herm-mano-” Her throat hurt every time she spoke. She wanted to stop talking all together, but it was best for her to speak and be as alert as possible. Everything. Ached. Maybe she could- Oh. Right. Alert. Be alert. Zora took in several slow breaths. The pain in her head started to slowly go away, and the dots that had been obscuring her vision started to grow smaller. Her hearing returned to how it once was. Hurray! That was nice. Too many questions. At once wasn’t nice. Head was hurting more. But she could tell that Nathan was rattled. Poor Nathan. She wanted to make them feel better. “I-it’s- O-okay..” Zora croaked out. The thought of being carried and to sit down was nice. A hug sounded nice, too. Some water would be great right about now. A nap sounded even better! Right, alert. Focus. Focus. Too many questions still had her head hurting. Hermano. Nathan's heart swelled at that, and they couldn't help but smile even more at that. They shifted their positioning to hold onto Zora a bit better, keeping her steady as she readjusted to the whole standing up thing. It was a bit of a challenge staying silent the entire time, but they managed to. For their sister. Yes. To. To what question. (They didn't know.) "Yes? Y-yes. Yes! Alright, um- hup." The only time Nathan ever had to carry someone was Ace- and that was a challenge in and of itself, as he was like, double his height. It was a bit easier with Zora, though- she was slightly shorter than he was, and a bit lighter than say, a grown adult man. Eventually, Nathan had her secure in a one-person carry, and was bringing her over to the benches. They hoped there wouldn't be any spontaneous side-sending at that point... "Uh- we don't gotta talk- just sit, uh, readjust to everything," they quietly said. "Just- just take your time, alright?" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

The feeling inside of Cansu grew worse. Still, he couldn't put a finger as to what emotion that was. Cansu preened at some of his feathers. That eased the feeling. "I see.." @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Kian didn't say anything else as he watched the fight. He saw how Nora ran and ran and ran-. How Jymaiyri nearly broke down when she finally found Minerva. And then— "N-No!" Kian turned around as Nora grabbed the totem, unable to bear watching what would happen next. He held Cansu so tight against himself it would hurt, but Kian needed something to ground himself right. His breathing started to become erratic. No, no, no! Kian closed his eyes, trying to bury his head into Cansu's small feathered body and started to rocking himself.

As Zora was picked up, she couldn’t help but lean a bit closer into Nathan’s warmth. She let her eyes slip shut for a moment as she took in the sensation of being held. Safe. These arms were safe and comfortable. As she was placed in a seated position, she opened her eyes and looked at Nathan gratefully. Her body was beginning to stop shaking, and the sensation of pins and needles was going away. “O-okay- Th-thank you..” Zora spoke softly. Readjusting felt nice. Just get nice and settled and comfortable. It would be okay. After all, she had her sibling here, everything would be fine. @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

“Kian,” Cansu barely chirped out. He pecked at the boy’s hand with enough force to grab his attention, but not harm him. “Kian, I am being crushed, Kian. Kian. Kian.” @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Sorry, Cansu, but Kian didn't even acknowledge the pecks. He continued to shudder, doing anything to just will all of this to be fake. Jymaiyri was gone. Already, being in the mother's presence had Kian on edge, but in a way that made Kian relive days he thought he would never get to have again. He should of known just like back then, things always ended up this way. Kian somehow squeezed Cansu even tighter, wet hot tears now falling into the bird's feathers. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

After setting Zora down (without any issues. Thank Hells), Nathan sat down next to her, an arm wrapped around her side to keep her upright. At least she wasn't shaking as badly any more. "It's nothin', no worries," Nathan hummed, their free hand still messing with Nora's blanket. They handed the purple fabric to Zora to hold onto, still watching the empty arena below. Despite having seen that time and time again, it felt stranger, this time around. Maybe because they fell victim to that? Maybe. They hoped Jymaiyri wasn't in pain any longer. Was that awful? Rather than peck again, he awkwardly attempted to try and soothe the boy. His right wing, the only wing that was free of the boy’s grasp, gently brushed against his cheek to wipe his tears away. Sniffling, Zora scooted a bit closer to Nathan and rested her head against their shoulder. She took ahold of the purple fabric, desperate to slow the pounding of her heart. After a few moments, when Zora was a bit steadier, she spoke. “S-sorry for fr-freaking out l-like that..” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Nathan lightly set their head atop of hers, absently fiddling with their necklace now that the blanket was with Zora. "No worries," they echoed. "It's alright. You don't gotta apologize for all of that, it's alright. I- I get it. You really don't have to apologize for- for somethin' like that." A pause. "Uh, your reaction, that is. "Whadd'I just say," Nathan quietly snickered. "It's alright, really. You don't gotta apologize for having like, emotions, and reacting to stuff." "I've seen much worse, really. Zora gave Nathan a small, weak smile. “Thank you, hermano,” The girl spoke softly. “It- It means a l-lot.. I-I’m doing a lot better now..” And it was true. Her color was mostly back and her trembling had completely ceased. Her heart didn’t beat as hard, though her chest and head still ached. That’d likely go away soon. @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

"Well, I'm glad it does," Nathan chuckled. "We can grab some water, and- and maybe some fruits later, yeah? I'll do most of the shufflin' about, yeah?" After a moment, they added; "I'll be so honest, I actually don't know what hermano means," Nathan admitted with a wince. "It sounds vaguely familiar and nice, so uh, I've literally just been rolling with it." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“Water sounds nice,” Her throat was dying for it. “And some fruit sounds good, too. Something nice and sweet.” “O-oh- Really?” Zora cheeks burned slightly. "Yesss, peaches and strawberries and mangoes. Nora likes mangoes- we can grab a few, maybe chop 'em up? I forgot if she likes the peel or not." Brother. Hermano. They should have figured, but then again, they weren't the best with languages. "That's nice," Nathan quietly said. They were grinning again. "That- that's nice, it's nice! Of course it's alright! I just- I- I figured it was somethin' along those lines? But I didn't really know, I just knew it was nice, y'know?" Hermano. "Hermano," they repeated, the word familiar and light on their tongue. “I don’t remember if she likes them with the peel or not, but I-I think she’ll be h-happy to see the mangoes.” Zora smiled a little. “I understand that,” Zora chuckled. She was already feeling much better now. It warmed her heart to know that Nathan approved of the nickname. “Mmhm, yeah, I’m- Glad you like it-!” The girl tilted her head slightly. "Adelphē? "Then it's settled. We'll make a kickass fuit salad with mangoes- especially mangoes." "And adelphē," Nathan repeated, pulling her in closer for a little side-hug- "means sister in Greek. Though, um, I never really knew the more...'casual' version of it." "Never had siblings before. Uh, always wanted some, but uh, I know some basic Greek here 'n there." Fruit salad. Yummy yummy. “That sounds nice. Lots of mangoes.” Zora nodded. Adelphē. Sister. The word made warmth spread over her chest. The ache was entirely gone now, replaced with affection. “I-I like that, I like that a lot,” Zora beamed. She snuggled into Nathan’s embrace, keeping her head upon their shoulder. “I like that a lot. "Hey, well, I'm glad y'like it!" Nathan laughed, snuggling into Zora as well. "I'll probably use it- it's not fair if I'm the only one who gets a nickname, y'know?" Adelphē. They probably had to ask Nora if she wanted to be called by that too, but that was for a later time. "Well, now that I'm ah- your hermano, I think I've gotten my noogie rights back," they sniffled. “I like it a lot, i-it sounds right,” Zora beamed. She lifted the blanket and wrapped part of it around herself before reaching to attempt to place it on Nathan’s other shoulder. “Here- Take the other side.” “Not the noogies,” Zora giggled quietly. “I’ll have to be on guard and be careful!” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

"Sure, yup." Nathan wrapped the other part of the blanket around their shoulder- now they were both nice and cozy. It felt nice- as if Nora was with them (which would come true soon enough. Hopefully.) "But, you're safe from 'em for now," they snickered. "Again, for now, that is." "It's kinda funny how I shifted from like, cousin-tier to brother-tier now. Which isn't a bad thing or anythin', just- kinda interesting, that's all." They were silent for a moment, still fiddling with their necklace. "...Cole was your, uh, cousin. Right? Kian sucked in a breath between his teeth, his shoulders still tense, but slowly relaxing as Cansu brushed his feather over his cheek. There was just so much he was feeling. Out the corner of Kian's feet, small spikes of ice began to emerge out of stress. His body temperature lowered as he huddled against Cansu's small body, seeking his comfort and reassurance. "..I-Is it over?" He quietly asked, sniffling as he shivered. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"I-I'll value every second I have of me being safe, then," Zora giggled. "Thanks for sparing me!" "Yeah, it just kinda- Happened, but- It feels right," Zora hummed as she swung her legs slightly. Kian did just that. He kept his eyes shut and continued to gently rock his feet. At this point, he was just waiting for Rakin to send them all back. It felt suffocating in this small observation space. The boy's grip finally loosened around Cansu, but Kian still kept him close to his chest. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Cansu remained in the boy’s hold. He didn’t squirm or complain about it anymore. All he focused on was making sure that Kian felt okay. @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

"Verrry spontaneous," Nathan hummed. "But not in a bad way." Safe. Yup. She was definitely safe now. Now and forever, for as long as they were here. "You don't gotta talk about it," Nathan quickly said, before their voice dropped into a whisper. "But...what was he like? I've only seen him as- as I guess, a Ninja. I've only seen him as, as a fan, but like, what was he like?" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Zora continued to swing her legs. She focused on the motion. Back, forth, back, forth.. “He was brave, and kind, and loving,” Zora spoke in a soft voice. “When we were little, he always looked after me. He always looked out for others and made sure they were safe. There were plenty of times where he would lead me through somewhere I thought was scary, he was- Always willing to put up a strong front for everyone he loved. Inside, I knew he was scared, but he was much more scared of losing anyone he loved. He always fought so hard.” Zora chuckled quietly. “He was a great guy. He was everything you’d want in a family member. You could trust him with your life, and he’d treasure that trust.” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

On the glass facing the arena, images of Jymaiyri and Nora appeared. Jymairyi's image faded out in to greyscale before disappearing, and Nora's picture centered on the frame with bit of projected confetti. Rakin's voice appeared in the room again. He could be heard coughing a few times before he actually spoke.. "Congratulations to our winner, Nora." "A room that can take you to either side will be opening on both sides. So there will be no further side changing announcements. Feel free to explore while you can." (Feel free to continue your scenes in here until you feel fit for them to end, and then have your character react!) The announcement of names also played if your characters didn't attend the fight in their respective sides A bolt of lightning cracked across the room, sending everyone back to their assigned sides. @everyone

Connie stood, totem clutched in her little hands. Was that right? Was she hearing things? They could go to both sides now? "Sovran?" She hadn't seen him since her fight- since the reviving thing. Sovran- Sovvy- "S-sovran!" she exclaimed, and she was gone in a flash.

A soft, affectionate look fell on Nathan's face as Zora spoke about Cole. Always the defender, the protector. Brave in the face of fear for his loved ones. All of those sounded just like him, no matter how distantly Nathan knew him- as just another fan, another outsider. But no matter how distantly Nathan knew him, it was clear Zora loved him dearly. "Thank you for telling me about him," they softly said, the gentlest little smile on their face. "Cole sounded wonderful. I'm sure he loved you a lot, too." 'Everything you'd want in a family member.' (They hoped they could amount to those great things, too.) At the announcement, Nathan looked up, half dreading the moment of despair to befall them. But it never came. Instead, they were surprised to discover that the...sides were opening up. "...huh," Nathan mused. They carefully removed the blanket from around them and placed the rest on Zora, carefully pulling themself to their feet. "Ready to go?" Nathan asked, extending their hand for Zora to take. Static was starting to build around them. "We're gonna see our sister and y'dad soon. I'll hold onto ya if you need help." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu (take your time w/responding! Ayaya nwnw)

“I-I’ll be sure to tell you more. He was great,” Zora smiled. As the announcement came, Zora looked tensed before she relaxed slightly. Huh. They could go to either side, huh? That would be nice. “M-mhm, I’m ready to go,” Zora took Nathan’s hand and got up to her feet. She was a bit shaky. “I-I’m excited to see them..” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

"I'm excited, too. There's uh, gonna be a lot to catch up on. Wanna grab some fruits for Nora? Or- or we can find Nora first, and we can pick the fruits together!" Nathan helped guide her to her feet, carefully gathering the blanket in their free arm. "And I'd love to hear more about him," they added with a smile. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“I think Nora would like to pick the fruits with us, i-it could help take her mind off the fight a b-bit,” Zora smiled. Her smile softened as she gently squeezed Nathan’s hand. “I-I’d love to tell you more about him.” Though, she’d definitely leave out the whole ‘he tried to kill me once’ thing.
