Tourn RP Archive

Below you, all that is visible is the vast expanse of the galaxy. Swirling, multi-colored cosmos stretching as far as the eye could see. Distant stars twinkled, but none looked close enough, or anywhere near the right color to be considered your home "sun". None of these stars were familiar either. An entirely different set of galaxies from anything you had ever seen at home encompassed your entire view. Thankfully, you are spared from falling straight in to the abyss by a thick sheet of glass making up the floor. Probably doesn't stop you from panicking at first, though. And the temperature in here is very mild! The only thing besides empty space that is visible are two areas, one arena set to whatever the current theme was, and another building straight across from you. The front side is one-way glass, so you cannot see in to whatever is inside of it, nor can they see you. Both of the glass panes on the buildings face the center arena, separated by a large amount of void. Best to not try to break out of this box. Oh, did I mention? There is no exit here. You are entirely surrounded by glass walls, allowing you to see in every direction. Above you in a glass ceiling, and a ways above that are giant squares of stone floating in space. Is that.. The maze? Or some other structure? There are no identifying details present to give you any hints about what it may be, and if it is the maze, there are no details about which way you may want to go. The only thing in this room that isn't made of transparent glass are the benches. Beautiful, hand carved marble benches. Intricate designs of frogs and water extended up from the legs of the benches, each of different species and sizes. Every single bench was unique in some way. There were just enough seats for everyone at the beginning, though if you find this too cozy, do not fret! More seats will become available in no time. The audio from the match will be projected in to the room.. With seemingly no source. A closer view of the two competitors will also be displayed on one of the glass walls, since your birds eye view is a bit hard to parse. Please find your seat and enjoy the show. (edited)

Connie recognized that voice near instantly, jolted out of that panic-induced daze as she stared at the galaxies. Otty would love this. She did a quick one-over of the stands, feeling her heart leap into her chest at the sight of- "Sovran!" she exclaimed, immediately dashing through the stands to get to him. Space, they were in space, people were fighting- CRUMBS. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Sovran quickly turned his head to figure out where the voice was coming from. When he spotted Connie, Sovran started to move to meet her halfway. "Connie!" Sovran let out a loud sigh of relief. He held out his arms for a hug as he got closer to her. @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

If Acxiom is being totally honest, this fight shit kinda sucked to watch. If it was even gonna be a fight and not just, dying via beasts and water. She needs a distraction. She looked around the little box theyre all in. Oh my god that's a baby. Oh they are SO going to go see why this lady got a baby in here. Acxiom walked over, it was a small box so its not that hard. "What?" Jymaiyri had been pretty invested in this insane fight, and the baby had been pretty invested in space. "Yeah, she's my kid. She got teleported here with me." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Lykos was impressed by that woman throwing the hog. Madison on the other hand, they pitied her.

"Well sh-" stares at the kid. "-oot." They followed Jymairyri's gaze to the fight. "How's that- gonna work with all this?" Acxiom is imagining a karate-fighting baby. Their three eyes alternated funky colours as they spoke. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Connie practically crashed into Sovran's hug, her arms wrapped around him as best as she possibly could. "I- I don't know what's happening! I- uh-" Her eyes ever briefly darted over to the glass wall and the pig- pig? But she seemed too distracted by Sovran to pay much attention. "Wuh- are you alright? I- I heard you yelling!" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Minerva was still too focused on the stars to really care about this new person. "Well, she's not gonna fight. She's a baby." Jymaiyri said, then turned back to the fight. "Oh- damn." (edited)

Sovran hugged her tightly. He held on for a few moments to ease his pounding heart before he pulled away slightly. Quickly, he looked over her and checked her head for any injuries. "I'm good kid, I'm all good now," He let out a relieved laugh. "How're you? You good? You're not hurt or anythin', are you?" @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Hugs! She liked hugs. Those were soothing and comforting and very soothing. "I'm good! I'm good!" She chose to withold the fact she nearly fell off a frickin' table. "Uh! I'm all good! Are- you're all good?" she asked, some inclination of doubt peeking into her voice. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Acxiom seemed pretty keen not to watch the fight, brows furrowed a bit whenever they had to view the events. "Damn." They agreed, nonetheless. Their eyes switched from the fight to the baby to space constantly. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

"I'm good as long as you're good, kid," Sovran reassured her. "I'm fine, nothing's been goin' on with me. I'm all okay. I'm just glad that you're all good, I feel like it's been too long since I've last checked in with you." @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Minerva briefly glanced to Acxiom, their multicolor eyes catching her attention. "Ah!" She said, pointing at him, and Jymaiyri replied, "Yes, that's-" She glared at them with scrutiny. "Who are you." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Right, yeah. The last time they talked was. Well. Before she conked out in the bed. "I- I've been good! Um! I got some sticks for the fishing rods- uh- Dr. Lykos helped me get some!" she quickly started, wringing her hands a little. Man, the fight was. Going. It was going. "Uh, and, and I met this guy with a plush rabbit? Which can move? And- um, someone who can! Change. Their. Design?" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"That so? Sounds like you've met a lot of interestin' people, Con," Sovran grinned at her. The stress of the last few moments diminished entirely as he listened to Connie's ramblings. "The fishin' rods- Good thinkin'! We gotta do that soon, kid, gotta make sure you got food to keep you full." @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

He seemed first a little alarmed, then a little amused by the baby pointing at him, his eyes. He seemed to brighten them and make the eyes switch into more colours on purpose. He shrugged. "Acxiom. You?" If he registered the apparent glare or any accompanying hostility he didn't show it. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

"Y-yeah! A bunch'a people!" she chirped. "And- and the rods- um, I don't know where to get...string? Or stuff? To hold the sticks together, but- bah, I'll figure it out! We'll figure it ouuuuuuuuu." Her excitement turned into a flat sort of noise, her faint little smile turning into a grimace. "Sovvy." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"Jymaiyri." She replied. "She's Minerva." Minerva giggled, entranced by the colors. This was EVEN COOLER than space! "I think she likes you." Jymaiyri said. @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

"I could get us some string, I'll figure it out real quick," Sovran spared a quick glance at the fight. He tried to turn Connie away from it. "Here, here, Con- Don't look, don't look." @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Acxiom seemed a little pleased with themselves. This was like, up there with making friends with a sentient stuffed bunny as far as death maze events go. "She's pretty neat herself. For a baby. Probably the only human baby to go to space." Wait. were these two even human? there had been a few not human people around like, everywhere here. "Wuh-" she started, only to immediately be turned away by Sovran. "Huh- what- whuh? Wait, what's happening?" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Lykos stared on in horror. Stunned into silence at the brutal death of that poor woman.

"Just- Don't worry about it-" As Madison fell into the abyss, Sovran suddenly wrapped his arms around Connie to prevent her from looking. He gave her a comforting squeeze. "It'll be fine, Con, e-everything's fine. It's over now." @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Madison- yeah, Madison- that's her name- she didn't meet her- she didn't know her. But still, her last words were stuck ringing in her ears. Her face pressed against Sovran, Connie just scrunched her eyes shut, her hands curling into the fabric of his shirt. "Yeah," she quietly said, voice barely above a whisper. "It's over now." Scared. She was scared, too. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"Yeah, she's pretty-" Jymaiyri's attention turned away as the fight reached its bitter conclusion. "Oh. Uh. Oh, god. That's how these end?" Her rising panic was evident in her voice. Minerva, too, seemed to be growing concerned, if only because of how her mother's voice had changed. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

(Everyone stay in the stands for a brief intermission!)

Acxiom's eyes flicked back to the scene in front of them, visibly a bit shaken. They continued the alternating light pattern in their irises, maybe in the vain hope that Minerva would focus on them more than the awful scene. Acxiom does not know enough about babies to know if she could even properly see or remember this, but still. "I- shit, man." Was all they managed to get out for now. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

A hand went to the back of Connie's head. He gently patted her head, tangling his fingers in her hair as he pulled her closer. "Mmhm, it's all over," Sovran repeated. "It's all good.." @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Minerva seemed distracted by the lights, but didn't watch them with the same enthusiasm as earlier. "She- she died..." Jymaiyri breathed. "She couldn't have lived from that." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

"this is messed up. Did she- was she charging that thing or something?" They replied quietly, not quite expecting a response but wanting to speak anyway. They were glad Minerva was still focused a little on the lights, but with the drastic change in mood it was taking more energy to keep up the display. Still, focusing on that meant less ability to focus on what just happened, which Acxiom kinda needed right now. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

"I- I don't know. I don't know." Jymaiyri's voice wavered. As it did, Minerva's attention wavered from the lights. She trembled, and began to cry. Little baby is confused and scared because everyone around her is confused and scared and she doesn't know why. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Shit. Well, they tried. Acxiom wavered a bit, eyes dimming substantially. They shut all three of them for a moment, inhaling, and when they opened their eyes again they were back to the usual glow, but all eyes stayed stagnant in RGB colour formation. "Doesn't matter, It's gonna be fine. Fight's over. We're- you're both good." Not-very-reassuring-assurances aside, Acxiom seemed to have distanced himself from everything, looking up at the space above them. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Jymaiyri turned her attention to Minerva as soon as she began to cry. "Shhh.... shh.... it's alright now. It's okay." Yet, the baby still cried. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom didn't know whether to speak or not. They just wanted to be let out of here. They concentrated a little laser of light on the the floor and moved their eyes to move the faint glare it cast on the glass, like a cats eyes following a laser pointer. Except he's the laser pointer. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Jymaiyri still devoted most of her attention to the baby. "When are we going to get out of here?" She asked Acxiom. "They can't keep us in here forever!" @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

They nodded quickly in response, eyes flicking to Jymaiyri as they just barely remembered to turn off the eyeball laser so that they wouldn't accidentally blind her. "I feel like a zoo animal and I'm going to start trying to break things if they don't get us out of here soon." They shrugged. Tone suggested they were joking, but there was an edge that meant the sentiment was still real. Not much to break really, unless Acxiom can break solid marble. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

"God. Same." Jymaiyri sighed, rocking Minerva in her arms. Serving real 'mom on a plane' realness except the plane is the stands of the death maze arena. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom probably had more power than most to get an annoying signal out to the lizard overlords, considering all this was glass, but that shit took energy and he'd rather not die early anyway incase it only annoyed Rakin or the other one. "Are they just like, watching our reactions?" Acxioms eyes moved to the others in the room. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

"I don't know..." Jymaiyri glanced towards the empty arena. "I don't know what they'd gain from this. Any of this." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

"they sure put a ton of effort into making it look all cool before messing it all up." Acxiom remarked. She still didn't get that part. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

On the glass facing the arena, images of Madison and Isabelle appeared. Madison's image faded out in to greyscale before disappearing, and Isabelle's picture center on the frame with bit of projected confetti. Rakin's voice appeared in the room again. "Congratulations to our winner, Isabelle. She has selected to stay in the A side, and unlock the South expansion. I will now go over who will be switching sides." Images of those he was speaking about appeared as he said them. "Nora, Theora, Celena, and Calamity will be going to the B side." "Lykos, Miles, Sovran, and Julien will be going to the A side." "I hope this switch-up keeps things from getting stale. Good luck everyone." (Feel free to continue your scenes in here until you feel fit for them to end, and then have your character react!) A bolt of lightning cracked across the room, sending everyone back to their assigned sides. @everyone

"Minerva seemed to like the space stuff before it all went crazy." Jymaiyri admitted. "Though she likes anything that's- what?" She listened to all the names, none of them hers or her husband's. "Wh- okay. Okay." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

"the space stuff was cool before they decided they could send us into it." Acxiom looked up. They didn't hear the names of like, the three, maybe four people they sorta knew, so this is fine. "Damn." @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Taylor seemed to just be completely zoned out. The horror still blatant on his face yet just the absence in his eyes from seeing what just happened. Holding into Poppy tightly as he could imagine how fast a heart could beat from this. If he could think. But he couldn't. He couldn't hear; couldn't breathe. Completely blanked out as he barely seemed to react at all to the side switches. Honestly hearing Rakin's voice not helping things at all as he could only think of what he said during their first meeting. . . . He was lying. It looked like dying would hurt.

Kenji didn’t want to be here. He’d stuck to the back, as far away from everyone else as possible in some delusional hope that maybe he wouldn’t have to see what was going on, but the audio and video projected into the room—the cage, more like—was inescapable. It’s a miracle he doesn’t empty his stomach all over the floor. The girl down there, she’d— fucking hell, she’d known the other girl and she was still dead. Dead in a way that Kenji was all too sickeningly familiar with, and that he could sense Amara reveling in. He can’t help but think, almost hysterically, that good thing he’d never told Lykos what his power actually was, and a wave of guilt smashes into him that that is the conclusion he’s drawing from this entire catastrophe. It’s a good thing he’s sent back before anything more could happen. Inky black smoke had started coalescing around his feet.

Connie just kind of remained in Sovran's hug for a little bit, listning quietly to the quiet chatter of others around them. At the sound of Rakin's voice, however, she peeked up and out at the wall again, searching somewhat for the source. More names. None of them hers. Fights? She didn't kn- Sovran? A side? "H-huh- huh?" Connie started with surprise, quickly looking from the screen and back Sovran again. There was panic evident in her eyes, lingering behind unease and worry. "Wait- you- no! Wait, you're gonna go to the other side!" she cried, shaking his shirt a little bit. "You- huh- Sovran!" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"Hey, hey hey hey- It'll be okay, Con, it'll be just fine," Sovran gave her a tight squeeze, hoping to soothe her despite the uncertainty that he felt. "I promise you, everything'll be okay." @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Lykos’ ears pricked at their name. They knew one of those other names- but more importantly they were being moved??? They had no time to think about it before they were gone.

"You- what- what if-" There were a million thoughts racing through Connie's head- and none of them were good thoughts at all. Losing, fighting- She heard them talk around her, she heard what happened- "What- what if you gotta fight next," she whimpered. "The- Madison, she- she- Sovvy, what if you gotta fight?" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“Then I’ll win,” The words left him before he even realized he was speaking. “I’ll win, because I have to get back to you.” Sovran’s hands reached to gently cup Connie’s face. Gently, he brushed any stray tears away from her cheeks with his thumbs. People were disappearing. He probably didn’t have much time left. “I still have to teach you how to fish,” Sovran continued with a small smile. If he had to go, then she at least would have their last interaction end with a smile. “I have to see you catch a fish, it’ll be your very first one, and I’ll be proud to be able to witness it. I still have to cook for you. I still have to make sure that you’re safe, Connie.” Sovran took in a deep breath. “Stay safe, alright, Con? I promise, I’ll be back, and I’ll win. Just promise me that you’ll be safe, that you won’t stay up too late, that you’ll stay hydrated, that you’ll get good meals in- Promise to take care of yourself, alright? I’ll be back for you.” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡ (edited)

Far too familiar, she was being taken away again- no, wait, the other way around- still- Connie pressed her face against Sovran's hand with a quiet little wail, high pitched and rattly and hiccupy. She held onto his hands with her much smaller ones, shaking and quivering with fear, fear, fear. "please don't go," she wept, feeling the tears trickle from her eyes. She cried far too much. Little crybaby. "please don't go, we- we can fish together, we- we can fish together, we can make food together, just please don't leave, Sovran." Promises lead to goodbyes, and she didn't want to say goodbye. She shook her head stubbornly, her hair sticking to her wet face. "Sov- Sovvy, Sovvy-" Connie wailed, feeling her voice crackle with strain. "Please, don't go-" She wanted to go home. Maybe with Sovvy, too. Maybe he could meet Otter. Maybe he could meet Rei. Together, yes, she wanted to be together again, not alone, not scared, she didn't want to be scared. The last thing she saw through a haze of tears was Sovran's smiling face, and she too was whisked away by the stars. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Sovran let out a pained noise when Connie disappeared from his arms. For a moment, he simply stared at the empty space, desperate to imagine her there once again. He felt tears well up in his eyes. Desperately, he closed them in an attempt to keep them from falling. Sovran disappeared.

Riki watched with wide eyes and his fur standing on end. He felt like he couldn't breathe. He wanted to look away but there was nowhere to look. It was empty space all around them. He felt like he was falling already. No, no, panicing wouldn't help, and he should not close his eyes from injustice. He stared at the arena, shaking, and felt his anger towards Rakin and Alrai Pin boil again... And then he was sent away.

Calamity was standing, clapping loudly. “YEAHHHHHHHH YOU GET HIM!” She yelled as Andre hurled sludge balls at Julien. That was very exciting. However, nothing was as thrilling as Julien’s little maneuver with the wire cutters. “OH!! AND YOU GET HIM!” She cried out in delight. In this moment, both Andre and Julien were like celebrities to her. The most riveting entertainment she’d been provided in days.

Calamity had been seated near Aldreda, though throughout the duration of the fight, she’d moved closer towards the arena while she took her notes. However, something particular caught her eye… …That magician had HER CARDS! A deck she’d made herself eons ago, and had lost somewhere along the way. She’d tried to fill the void with Uno cards and tarot cards, but nothing was quite like that deck. Scott had better use them well. “HEY SCOTT, KEEP DRAWING FROM THAT DECK!” she hollered. “YOU’D BETTER WIN THIS!!!”

"Ohhhh, those are your little playthings?" Aldreda laughed. "They look quite fun." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“All mine!” Calamity grinned as she whirled around to face Aldreda. “Well- they’re Scott’s now, but I made those things foreveeeeeer ago. Haven’t been able to replicate them since!” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Hah! They really do feel like something you'd make. So random and chaotic." She chuckled, crossing her leg over her knee. "Do you think he has a chance with them? To win?" @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“I’m flattered that you were able to clock it, hot stuff,” Calamity hummed, her tail swishing back and forth in amusement. “I don’t want to get cocky, buuuuuut he most definitely has a chance, if not a total win secured. "... um." Aldreda looked back down to the arena. "Cals, uh, I think your guy lost. And something weird happened with a frog." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

"Hmmm.. Well, seems like Rakin grabbed them at least. Maybe you can talk to him later and demand that they are returned!" She nodded curtly. "And the guy in the cards who was a frog- was that your handiwork? One of your creative torture methods?" @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“Hmmmm, that’s a great idea!” Calamity nodded excitedly. “And to answer your question- I just kinda found that frog guy one day and thought it would be funny to integrate him in my cards! I don’t know him personally, though if I did, I don’t remember him!” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Aldreda seemed mostly unaffected by the bloodshed, maybe just giving a hint of a pitiful look at the end, but this was clearly nothing that she hadn't seen and/or done before. "Phoenix and Turtle are my birds." Aldreda smiled. She held her hands out toward Connie, and in each palm, a bird made out of flame appeared. One looked like an owl, and the other some kind of eagle. Connie watched the flamey-bird guys flutter and settle in her open palms, absolutely entranced by how the fire seemed to dance along with their forms. For a moment, she could have forgotten about what happened- if not for that little moment. She winced a bit and sniffled, wiping at her damp face with the heels of her gloved hands. Peeling her gloves away, she reached out to gently touch the owl one- Turtle, probably. "I never asked your name," she said after a moment. "Avis is basically exactly what it sounds like. Full of birds." Aldreda said. "And no honey, it's not a rude question! There's nothing us Avians like to talk about more. Some pigeons can transform, if they're Avian people, but some others are bonded birds to Avians, and others are just wild! All Avians and their bonded birds are banded, Avians on the left foot, and their bonded birds on the right. The bands will have their names on them. And they're usually iron or gold. (sorry random moses post just to show his reaction) Moses had seen a lot in his days. With war, comes anguish and bloodshed. It made him desensitize to many of things, and even with his current position as a firefighter, that same mentality was par for the course. He stared wide eyed the entire fight, never taking his gaze off the two people on the boat. Yeonaixho... He clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white. He hoped Yeonaixho's family didn't have to see this fight, but Moses knew they would of came here to support him. The anger he felt was probably nothing compared to Yeonaixho's wife and childrens' current grief. "Agustin-" He had turned to say something to the other man when the fight had concluded, but Agustin was gone before he could say anything more. "Shit-" Moses turned back towards the arena, spotting the amphib, now alone with just what was left of Yeonaixho. Moses watched, but nothing happened. No matter what Agustin did, Yeonaixho continued to lay still, dead and cold.

"Well, there's people from all over in Avis. For how shitty it is, it's pretty diverse." Aldreda said. "To be an Avian you just have to go through your Feathering, anyone can do it! Even you, if you came and dedicated yourself to achieving it." "And fifty..? More like five thousand!" Aldreda smiled. "Thousand!" Connie squawked, eyes wide. "That's so many! What the heck! How do you guys keep fifty thousand pigeons safe and warm? And there's so much more, too!" She was going to say she'd love to visit Avis one day- though her mouth 'clacked' shut a bit at that. "Avis sounds wonderful," she said instead, with a polite, kiddy little smile. "Uh! "Well, they're all safely in the Pidgery when they're not out on deliveries! Each member of staff is in charge of about two hundred pigeons, which keeps them pretty busy." Aldreda said. "The Feathering is a ceremony mostly for people turning ten years old who live in Avis, but immigrants also go through it once they're deemed ready at any age. I'll make sure you get the chance to if you wanna. It's pretty cool to get to turn in to a bird and fly wherever you want. What bird do you think you'd want to be?" @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

"How big is this Pidgery?" she breathed, a little dizzy imagining fifty thousand pigeons. "Man- that's a lot of pigeons- how do they manage? And how many people like, live here?!" "I'm fifteen!" she suddenly said, eyes suddenly much brighter. "Um! I'unno what bird I'd want to be- maybe an owl. Maybe a seagull, seagulls are fun! "It's huge, and mostly underground to make room for it all! And I don't really keep count, but probably around a eighty thousand or so by now. "Eighty thousand...that's...a lot. Underground places are always so frickin' cool- just- there's so much that can fit under there! It's crazy! It's so frickin' cool!" They were golden eagles! What! Taylor sat in the stands... not knowing anymore why he kept coming to these horrid torture shows more than actual fights. To the point that it came to the point they were doing a literal game show to see who'd survive this round.... He looked down, seeing Poppy slightly tremble as she pressed herself to hide her face from what you assumed would come. An image crosses his mind, a child so small with short curly black hair wanting to hide from the world. For a moment if someone noticed his face...(tw: violent thoughts) it was shadowed. The pure vile desire to destroy the people that did this to the child. To expose her to the death of others again and again whether by hearing or seeing it. He wanted to destroy them he wanted to hurt them he wanted to rip them apart like dolls. This sick tournament reminding him of that urge he thought was long forgotten he wanted to hurt- He took a deep breath, rubbing Poppy's back as he gives a gentle smile. He didn't want to scare her further by dissociating again... it's fine. They were just thoughts. They were just thoughts.

Moses nodded, understanding why Agustin would want to turn away. Though, he continued to watch, frowning as he saw the tides swing into Damien's favor. Lykos watches the fight mostly with confusion and a bit of disinterest. Nothing to really be gleamed from two birds screaming at each other. Starlight. That was kind. Familiar. Nostalgic. Nightlight. Sparksy. Starlight. "ALDREDA!" Connie suddenly exclaimed, bolting to her feet. "Aldreda, she won! She won! Ouugh." It was such a relief. And so frickin' close, too! Stars above! Connie sank back to the bench with a wobbly little exhale, hands drifting to start scratching Lykos behind the ear again. Whew. That was too close. Lykos flinched at the sudden noise, but sighed with relief at the fiery one’s victory. Perhaps he could speak with her later. They leaned into the pets before pausing. Starlight. They licked their nose and looked away for a moment. They seemed almost… embarrassed. “Er, yes. It.. it is pretty.” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

On the glass facing the arena, images of Aldreda and Aileen appeared. Aileen's image faded out in to greyscale before disappearing, and Aldreda's picture centered on the frame with bit of projected confetti. Rakin's voice appeared in the room again. "Congratulations to our winner, Aldreda. She has selected to stay on the B side, and unlock the east expansion. I will now go over who will be switching sides." Images of those he was speaking about appeared as he said them. "Taylor and Isabelle will be going to the B side." "Acxiom and Cane will be going to the A side." (Feel free to continue your scenes in here until you feel fit for them to end, and then have your character react!) The announcement of names also played if your characters didn't attend the fight in their respective sides A bolt of lightning cracked across the room, sending everyone back to their assigned sides. @everyone

For some reason. Kiran is here! Still wrapped up in several layers of blankets and seeming extremely anxious.

"LYKOS!" Connie exclaimed, nearly tripping down two rows of benches in her haste. "LYKOS!" It wasn't like they could hear her, but still. She didn't sit, but she was standing and watching the screens intensely. Her hands were crackling with static.

Kiran jumped, and looked around in the stands, startled by the lightning. ...No, Rakin was down there, on the arena, being beaten shitless. He couldn't be here too, right?

There was so much that was happening. One; Rakin was getting attacked. She would be dismayed, if not for it being Rakin. She was moreso worried about Lykos and Mr. Riki. Two; Blood. Three; Blood? Four; The arena was collapsing. Wide-eyed, Connie watched as the arena fell apart, her eyes trained on Lykos. She couldn't look away. She wouldn't look away. Lykos, her friend, they were kind, they were supposed to go home together. A different sort of dread replaced the terror in her stomach as the colors bolted them...away. Huh, well... that was. Something. Kiran really disliked the animal treatment the two contestants got, but they weren't particularly surprised either. What they did appreciate was Rakin getting trashed. And Lykos won? Maybe? All in all, they didn't really regret coming to see this one.

Lightning was crackling across her knuckles again. She didn't bother shaking them off. "I hate Rakin," she hisses through her teeth, tears brimming at the corner of her eyes. "I'm sure they'll be fine, we just have to wait to see what happens after this.." Aldreda said and stood. She went up to Connie and crouched down so they were at eye level with each other. She rested her hands on Connie's shoulders. "You're right to hate him. He is despicable in every way. Don't let it blind you from everything else right now, but let yourself feel that rage. The static wavers every slightly, but picks up the more Aldreda encourages her...murdery tendencies. "Aw," Connie quietly said. "Aw, that's awful. M'sorry." She (finally) shook the static from her hands and patted Aldreda's hand a little; some attempt at reassurance. Taylor's coat was in his hands, almost white knuckled to the point you wouldn't know if the muscles in his hand or the fabric would rip first. Once again he gave a silent eulogy for someone he barely knew. Yet this time... even if he wasn't happy with Lykos over a petty reason. He didn't want him to die. Which sucked since he didn't want either of them to die. He didn't want anyone to die. (Tw dissociation ans violent thoughts) Rakin didn't deserve to play these games. Didn't deserve to make them nothing but puppets in a game no one wanted to be a part of nor could win. He didn't feel himself in his own body as his thoughts continued to wander. Continued to spiral. Continued to making his red eyes darken like drying blood. How much a part of him wanted Rakin to the thing he was cracking his knuckles around with how tightly he was strangling his coat. Once again, Poppy gently eased him back into the present. He was a person again, taking calming breathes as he went back into his body as the dissociation slowly ceased. The sounds of the others around him talking helping him stay in the moment.

Kiran glanced at Connie with wide, agitated eyes as the electricity crackled from her again. They growled quietly and hunched deeper into their blankets.

"Eh, don't worry about him too much. He'll be fine soon enough. He's probably going to be more concerned about getting us out of here." Aldreda said, failing to mention that 'his husband' would probably be better referred to as 'her brother'. "Mhm. Wordlessly, images of Lykos and Riki came up on the glass in front of them. The image of Riki faded away, leaving only Lykos on the screen.

Following that, images of Sovran and Moses with an arrow pointing at B side, and images of Tsubari and Kiran pointing at A side came up.

There were no other announcements before everyone was sent way with flashes of color... Yippee, no lightning this time! (This played in the sky of both sides without audio btw, for the people who aren't here. In order to help someone out, another kid like you, I had to take one of their powers and it went a bit haywire. Poison took my leg away, but it’s alright. Aldreda's handshake was half baked, at best, as her attention was placed squarely on Calamity. The flames in her hair died down as she stared down at that arena. The horror was somewhat dulled from the two looking so silly and blocky, but.. The sentiments Calamity was yelling were.. Heartbreaking. Aldreda's lip quivered as Calamity burned and disintegrated, and she quickly turned away from both Connie and Sovran @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Lykos had watched this fight mostly confused, as the strange block world the two fought in made zero sense to the doctor. That confusion faded as Lykos watched Calamity go out in her blaze of glory, mildly horrified but mostly in awe of her and her final words. The ruffling of hair was nice- reassuring. It was kind. She tried to smile a little, but it fell kind of flat. Lykos perked up at the announcement. Connie looked busy but- “Connie!” It took some extreme effort, but they were able to weakly walk closer to her. “Starlight. I.. ahem. Sovran immediately looked at Connie with concern. “Con, take care, alright? Oh. She was swapping sides again. Connie didn't really have much time to react to- well, anything, before she was being ambushed (lovingly) by all of her friends. She should'a gotten used to this. "I'll be alright," Connie quietly reassured, hugging everyone the best she could. With each hug, her chest got tighter and tighter. "I'll be alright! I- I'll be fine, it's nothin' I'm not used to, y'know?" How many times was this? Third time, right? Yeah, that sounded right. "I'll be safe, I promise. I'll take care of myself, too." Connie lightly mussed with Lykos' hair, some twinge of sadness settling in her stomach that his fur was gone. The hair was nice, though. "And- and I'll keep an eye out for your friend, too." That dumb optimism was seeping back into her voice. "Wolf-Phoenix-Bear team, I think that'd be really great, oh, oh, tinlong! longsing! It's the name for the constellation Sirius! Though, it's kinda clunky. I'll workshop it!" She was loved, she was loved, she was loved. It felt nice to be loved. It felt nice to love. It felt nice to care and love and hope and be kind. Hugging in this form wasn’t as comfortable, and the fact that Connie was slightly taller than them made them feel all the more embarrassed. Still, it was nice. Lykos smiled sheepishly at her nickname. “It’s good. I cannot wait to hear the final edition. Goodbye, starlight.” With that, they flashed away.

Sovran and Minerva were here. As soon as he saw the state that Connie was in, he grew tense. "Con.." He whispered as he sat down heavily into a chair. Aaaaaaand Agustin was zapped in to the stands, plopping down lamely on one of the benches. He felt much too tired and groggy to make his way to the window right now.

Lykos is here, moving as quickly as they could to the glass. They stared with horror at the binds keeping Connie in place. “Heartless bastard- he’s not even giving her a chance!”

Agustin finally managed to get himself up to his feet and stepped up to the glass. "M-moses- what are you doing- you could win.." Agustin said tiredly as he watched Moses helping Connie across the bridge. "Moses... Moses!"

"Moses! Y-you can win! Leave her!" Agustin continued to plead.

"Moses!" Clearly, his pleas were landing on deaf ears. He pounded on the glass with his hands and slid down on to his knees. "M-moses! If you die, w-we'll never get out of here!"

Agustin couldn't even bring himself to yell for Moses again since it had achieved absolutely nothing before. He just punched the glass and screamed as Moses fell.. "Duuuuuuude! Shut up!" On the glass facing the arena, images of Connie and Moses appeared. Moses' image faded out in to greyscale before disappearing, and Connie's picture centered on the frame with bit of projected confetti. Rakin's voice appeared in the room again. "Congratulations to our winner, Connie. She has selected to stay on the A side, and unlock the north expansion of B side. Before I discuss who's going where..." Images of all ten losers appeared on screen in gray. One by one, all but two faded away. Nathan and Yeonaixho. They regained their color and grew in size on the screen. "Congratulations to our lucky losers that were voted back, Nathan and Yeonaixho. This was decided by popular vote, if all of you that are not here are curious. Now, to discuss sides.." Images of those he was speaking about appeared as he said them. "Yeonaixho and Damien will be going to the B side." "Nathan, Connie, and Aldreda will be going to the A side." (Feel free to continue your scenes in here until you feel fit for them to end, and then have your character react!) Sovran’s here. As fast as he cough with crutches, he rushed to the glass to look into the arena. “Fuck- Fuck!” He cursed. He wanted Jymaiyri to win, but- god, she was against a child. Fuck!

Tai'Tana was also here. Just as confused.

Sovran.. Glanced at Yeonaixho before he looked back to the screen. That definitely was a conversation to have.. Eventually..

"Does anyone know what's happening." Tai'Tana asked.

The feelings were conflicted. Jymaiyri was doomed to death, but a kid would get to live. Nora would get to live. Sovran rested a hand upon the glass with a heavy sigh as he waited for the scene to occur.

He watched in silence. Tilted his head. Maybe the image of her, in this state, maybe it sparked recognition for him somewhere. Where so little else had. But he did not react. He did not leave. His eyes slowly drifted from Jymaiyri to the baby in Nora's arms.

Yeonaixho has listened, horrified, as Lykos had described everything that happened. He couldn't bring himself to speak, not until those very last details. He did not want to believe any of it, but he could not deny it. At least they hadn't fought, at the end. At least, they hadn't hurt each other. "She's... she's gone." Yeonaixho's voice cracked. Any relief he felt at Nora's survival was superseded by the overwhelming grief that it came with. "She's- she's gone." @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

Lykos had done their best to describe everything. Including the more… gruesome and cruel parts. He deserved to know what was happening to his family. “…I am truly sorry, Yeonaixho..” @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Sovran remained pressed against the glass. He was absolutely sick to his stomach. A kid got to live. A kid got to live. A kid got to live. Relief mixed with grief made it sickeningly hard to breathe. He remained staring into the void, unsure how to process this. Unsure what to do after this.

Yeonaixho couldn't voice any more words. Jymaiyri had just gotten him back- and now she was gone. He didn't know what to do. He didn't know what he could do. It wasn't Nora's fault Jymaiyri had died. They'd all have to learn to live in her absence. Alone. He was alone now. @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

After steeling his emotions, Sovran turned and approached Yeonaixho. He took a seat beside him heavily and reached out for his hand. ”Yeonaixho-” The words following died on his lips. Yeonaixho initially didn't seem reactive to Sovran's touch, but he was grateful for it. It grounded him from the dissociation and spiralling of his mind that was threatening to overtake him. He stared blankly ahead, Jymaiyri's dying pleas still ringing in his ears. He leaned on Sovran, so their shoulders touched, and sighed heavily. Sovran didn’t say anything. He wrapped an arm around the other man, pulling him close. The first thing that came to mind to say was that, “It’ll be okay.” Now wasn’t the time for that kind of statement. Now was the time to grieve and think of Jymaiyri. To come back to life to think you‘d have your wife with you, only for you to lose her.. Sovran couldn’t imagine the kind of turmoil that Yeonaixho was going through. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Yeonaixho could do nothing but lean into Sovran. Grief overwhelmed him- ate at him like the decomposition and mold that ate at Jymaiyri. He didn't know what to do now. He didn't know if he'd ever know what to do. The world seemed stuck in a state of stasis- like this was the only thing that had ever happened, or at least the only thing that meant anything. "Did she really... decompose...?" It was the one thing he really struggled to wrap his head around. Lykos's description had been far from vague, but... his mind couldn't believe it as truth. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Sovran sucked in a deep breath and let it out slowly. He held Yeonaixho a bit closer. "Y-yeah," Sovran's voice was deep with his grief. He cleared his throat. "I'm sorry, Naixho.." @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Yeonaixho let out a choking sigh. She was gone. Even her body was desecrated, by some force he couldn't understand. Like a dam suddenly broken, he dissolved into tears. He'd been simply too shocked to cry at first, but now, he couldn't hold back. He leaned into Sovran, he pressed his hands to his face to mask his tears. He couldn't voice anything but sobs and gasps for air between them. She was gone. She was gone. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“Shh, shh, it’s okay, just let it all out.” Sovran gently soothed as he pulled Yeonaixho further into his arms. He leaned the other man’s head into his shoulder as Sovran used both arms to embrace him. He’d be strong for him. No matter how much it felt like this was tearing him apart from the inside, he’d be strong. As strong as he needed to be. Yeonaixho deserved support. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Yeonaixho was pretty clearly trying to avoid making a mess of Sovran's jacket with his tears, but let himself be guided closer to the other man. He cried til he had no tears left to cry, til he had reduced himself to a sobbing, tearful mess. And still, the world felt painfully still. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Sovran held onto Yeonaixho as long as he could. He wouldn’t be the first one to pull away or let go. When the announcement came in, Sovran held him a bit tighter. “We’re gonna get teleported,” Sovran spoke quietly. “Any side you wanna go?” @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

“That’s okay, that’s okay,” Sovran quickly soothed. “I’ll pick a side, then, no worries.” Minerva was at the top of his mind. They needed to find the baby, and in turn, find Nora. ..
