In another flash of lightning, Rakin appeared in a different room, still holding Minerva in his arms. This room looked almost similar to the other one- with a similar glass ceiling looking out to the stars and stone walls. It was slightly more homey, with a singular blanket and pillow on the floor. A large chunk of rainbow-colored rock stuck out of the ground in the middle of the room, about five feet wide across. Nearby the bed was a large bin, full of various fabrics and sewing supplies. Along one wall there was a giant electronic screen- it was cracked and distorted.. Could these people not afford a new glorified television? Through the grain on the screen, two different camera views could be seen. One facing a frozen tundra, and another facing a beach area. There were some people trudging about on either side. A few seconds after Rakin appeared, Jymairyi's unconscious body did as well, landing on the singular blanket in the room. He didn't pay her too much attention as walked over toward the glowing rock and sat Minerva down on it. It didn't hurt- it was actually kind of nice. Just warm and somewhat malleable. ".. Maybe this will make you smarter or something." Rakin hummed and moved his hands away, letting Minerva sit unassisted on the rock. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Minerva, was at least, very interested in the glowing, warm nature of the rock. She was able to sit up on her own, and kept her attention mostly on the rock, now. No signs of being any smarter. (edited)

Rakin stood there and crossed his arms, watching... Usually there was a pretty quick up time for this. "... Baby. Speak." He said, hoping maybe that prompt would get her to do something besides stare at the rock below her. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Minerva made a curious, confused baby sound, something along the lines of 'abubaaba'. She looked up to Rakin. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Abu.... baaba..." Rakin repeated, will full seriousness. "I don't know that language. And it's not what your mother was speaking either.." He leaned in closer to Minerva. "I am so glad none of my kids were as strange as you, little one." @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Madeline reached up to Rakin as he neared her, trying to touch his face. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Rakin didn't move away, and he would let her poke him as long as she didn't go straight for his eyes. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Minerva seemed mostly interested in Rakin's nose and mouth, as she couldn't reach his eyes without reaching up. Still no signs of infant hyper-intelligence. Just a lot of sitting there. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Rakin just blinked as she pulled at his nose and poked him. It definitely didn't hurt, it was just... Man, why was this creature so dumb? He moved his head back and picked her up again, figuring that wasn't working. "Maybe the other people here will know how to help you more." He hummed and headed over toward Jymairyi, who was still out. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Minerva made another baby noise as Rakin picked her up- less curious this time, more surprised. She definitely noticed Jymaiyri, but it was hard to tell if she was upset by seeing her unconscious, or if she understood at all. She reached toward her mother. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Rakin crouched down and placed Minerva down on the ground next to her, and straight up walked away. He was pretty sure she'd be able to crawl the few inches it took to her to her mother. How dumb could she really be. He went over to the bin of fabrics and supplies and began digging through it. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Rakin had a lot of faith in this baby. Minerva just sat by Jymaiyri, not yet able to crawl, and soon became upset with this entire arrangement. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Rakin didn't pay her any mind, his entire attention focused on the mess of fabrics he was digging though. "Does your mother like green?" Rakin asked. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Rakin twisted his head away from the noise that was coming. "Shhhhhhhhhh- What are you so upset about?" @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Minerva didn't have an answer, but calmed down a bit when Rakin turned back to her. It seems she mostly wanted his attention? @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Urgh, human babies are so... needy." Rakin huffed and took out some heavy fabrics and sewing supplies, along with a measuring tape. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Minerva watched intently as Rakin set out the fabrics. They weren't close enough for her to grab, but she reached out for them anyways. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Rakin stepped back over to her and sat on the floor, beginning to measure out her proportions with the measuring tape. While he was doing that, he gave her a strip of fluffy green fabric to mess with. "I've never made clothes for someone... Your size... Hopefully it will not take too long." Minerva was pretty content with her piece of fabric- in fact, she loved it. Baby sensory time. In between playing with the fabric and trying to eat it, she watched as Rakin worked, intrigued by his movements. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Rakin really didn't care if she tried to eat it or not, it was already a pretty mangled scrap of cloth that would be hardly useful for anything. He finished up all of her measurements and moved on to Jymairyi, which was much easier because she wasn't moving around. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Jymaiyri was out. No reaction, nothing. Minerva still was pretty interested in whatever Rakin was doing. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Y'know, I think humans don't make their own clothes. It's sad. They're all basically the same size- so they can just buy them from stores." Rakin hummed as he moved Jymairyi's arm to measure it out. "It's so impersonal. You should learn how to sew and make your own clothes. It's much better that way." @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Rakin dropped Jymairyi's arm and took out a notepad from his pocket. He began to sketch out some miscellaneous designs. "I bet you cannot even hold a pencil, Yokohomok." Rakin hummed as he drew on the page. "I wonder how much longer you have to grow. Your stupidity would have gotten you killed as one of mine. Your parents must be very kind and patient people." @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Rakin sketched for a while, humming some tune to himself the whole time. Once he was satisfied with what it looked like, he showed the sketches to Minerva. "What do you think?" @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Minerva didn't quite know what she was looking at, but hey, this wasn't that different to when her parents read to her and showed her the pictures. She looked at the sketches curiously. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"I'll take that as a sure." Rakin said and took the notebook back. He reached his hand over toward Minerva and placed his hand on her head. "I need to work now, and I don't want you distracting me, so you'll have to go to sleep." @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Seeing as she had nothing to say (as expected), he sent a weak pulse of electricity through her head that would make her feel very tired, but not forcefully knock her out. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

Minerva yawned, and blinked sleepily. She laid down on her stomach, and was asleep within seconds. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽
