Of all the people he expected to see huddled in the puny shack, his old ally was not one of them. However, it did do his mind some good to see that Isabelle had weathered the storm. “As the stars would have it, we find ourselves staring eye to eye once again.” Cane greeted. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

She seemed to light up as Cane acknowledged her presence. I just think they make funky friends. "Glad to see you weren't out there in the storm. I take it that's your first hurricane?" She chuckled, not really sure if his planet had those. @Scream | Cane + Uly

“Hurry…Cane, I suppose so.” Cane repeated the word back to her. “Either way, I know danger when I see it. Still, I hope the others did not get stuck out there. Who knows how many are trapped on this planet? I ran into a few more survivors myself.” @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

“Well—“ Cane placed a hand on his hip while gesturing with the other. “I encountered two others, non-Terrans from what I could tell. They received similar welcomes. Threats of destruction, ritual sacrifice. One thing that stuck out to me was that one of the those that I encountered said that something like this had happened before…” @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"Something like this? I heard a few similar things... speaking of, do you know what Gallus or Pilarians are? It's fine if you don't, but that name has popped up and I haven't been able to learn more." She put a hand on her chin to think, crossing her other arm. Hopefully he knew what she was talking about, and maybe it would tell them what to do. @Scream | Cane + Uly

A sharp exhale exited Cane's mask at the mention of 'Gallus' and 'Pilarians'. He even had to consciously refrain from grabbing his head in annoyance. "Yes, I am familiar with both of those things. We must be on the right track because Gallus came up in my conversations as well." @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Isabelle knew from the exhale that it was on the spot. "I see. You don't exactly sound like a fan. How'd it come up with you?" She crossed her arms, occasionally glancing back at Errol. @Scream | Cane + Uly

"Where do I start." Cane briefly glanced upward to make sure a wayward piece of the rickety shed was not going to fall on him before setting his sights back on Isabelle. "Hm, I remember that our gracious host brought them up when I was being restrained. From what I gather, the Galleons--the ones from Gallus--are the catalyst for all of this mess. They wiped out another race, those Pilarians, a while ago. Now someone wants to bring them back; I could not possibly guess why." @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"Revenge." Lined up perfectly with what Celena told her. "It's to bring back the Pilarians to get revenge on Gallus. Another new acquaintance managed to get that much out of Rakin. If you knew about them, perhaps that's got to do with why you were taken." She mumbled more to herself as the gears began to turn. @Scream | Cane + Uly

"But why me? I am no one important." Cane insisted. "They have stolen a cook." @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"A cook who is not skilled enough to raise arms. Although you could be. Who knows?" She shrugged. "It is not your title either, maybe your background is grounds enough." @Scream | Cane + Uly

"My title?" Cane tilted his head slightly in confusion. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"Is cook not your title?" She asked. Maybe there was a miscommunication. "Or is it scholar, I know that is also one thing you call yourself." @Scream | Cane + Uly

"Ah, I see, you mean my duty." Cane tapped the side of his head. "I suppose cook would be my title. Still, I find myself lost, but I will have to remind myself that this is not about me." He shrugged. "Another theory that I encountered in my travels was that each person here possesses something special? Unique? Before the storm hit, I had just met someone with a strange book, but our encounter was cut short by that 'hurry-cane'. I wonder if that has to do with this ritual." @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"I see, that was my original theory as well if you remember." She hummed in thought. "Most everyone I've met has powers. Although there are also amphibs who have been brought here. They seem to be under different circumstances." She chuckled at his pronunciation. "Hurricane." She corrected. "I'd explain what we call it in my native tongue but i don't wanna confuse you further." @Scream | Cane + Uly

"While I am thinking about it, for all the talk of Galleons, I have yet to encounter any here." Cane's pupils shifted at said thought. Although, to be fair, he had yet to encounter any 'Amphibs' either, but still, it was odd. "Surely they would be part of this game, unless we are being misdirected." @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru (edited)

"I'm not sure about it at the end of the day." She thought for a moment, and looked back to Errol. "Oh, I found one of my friends. Although he is currently... very unconscious." @Scream | Cane + Uly

"Oh--" Cane exclaimed, just as Isabelle had but in a much different tone. "Are they alright?" It sounded like a dumb question. They had been kidnapped, so they could not be too alright, but the lack of consciousness was enough to draw the alien's concern. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"I don't... know." She admitted. "I kind of just found him like this on the ground. Not too far from where we parted ways actually. I tried to wake him but the storm was coming so I just brought him here." @Scream | Cane + Uly

"You found him like this." Cane spoke slowly as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Is this normal..?" That was a foolish question. Then again, the Terrans were known to be quite odd themselves. "Hopefully when he wakes up, it will be at home and not here." @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"It's not... Even when he's drunk he isn't out this long.." She tapped her foot a bit. His lack of movement was concerning her. "I can only hope we can get him home in one piece. His child was left behind." @Scream | Cane + Uly
