“Hmmmm, that’s still good to know,” Calamity hummed. “You know more than most! Soo they made a species… weird…” she put a clawed finger to her temple. “Oh! Now that’s a title I’ve never gotten- and it’s got a good ring to it! Anarchist, anarchist, anarchist…” she repeated the words a few times as she paced about. “…There’s gotta be some sort of common factor that makes us all valuable to these guys in some way, though I may need to think on that more. If you’ve got any ideas, throw em my way!” @Twig | Kiran + Riki

"Yeah, I think that's kind of their thing. Cane said they 'destroy and create' or something like that." "Heh, glad you like it", Kiran smirked. They looked around the ground. They noticed their battery running low. It almost never happened, because it charged wirelessly when they were in the palace, but now they would need fuel. They muttered something about "sand everywhere" and "I hate sand." "Well, others speculated something about 'powers.' I'm honestly not super sure what that means, but I don't have any 'powers' as fas as I'm concerned. I guess it depends on the definition." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“Oh I love it!” Calamity grinned, then raised an eyebrow. “Hmm, yeah, the sand isn’t my number one choice either. I feel like even if we leave this place, we’ll still find it in our hair and clothes weeks later…” she paused. “…You were resurrected though, so maybe that’s why they want you? I technically have powers- though most demons I know can do what I do. But we have a lead!” @Twig | Kiran + Riki

Kiran picked up a piece of coconut with their foot, glanced at the white meat, all speckled in grains, and scrunched up their nose. "Now all food is ruined. Great. I guess I'll have to eat somebody", they said in an annoying tone. "Hmm, yeah, I guess that could be it. I'd be like a, good luck charm or something. Since they're trying to resurrect a species and all", they shrugged, and dropped the coconut. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“Huh? You need to eat someone?” Calamity asked, just to confirm that she’d heard that correctly. She had no qualms with helping Kiran find someone to eat, if that’s what they needed- as long as it wasn’t herself, of course. “Ooh, yeah! That could totally be it! Maybe since you’ve come back to life, they’re just like, really interested in you or something.” @Twig | Kiran + Riki

"Joking. Well, I guess I could technically do that, but that'd be gross. I'd just love something not covered in sand to eat", they grumbled. "Yeah, I guess so. At first I thought they might want ransom money but it doesn't seem like that at all", Kiran looked around, stepping around a little, before picking up a palm frond. They shook it until most of the sand fell out, and wiped the rest off with their fingers. "I wonder if I could eat this..." they mumbled. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Calamity laughed. “That was pretty funny! Though if you did, I wouldn’t see any issue in that. Though, the people here are probably covered in sand as well…” she glanced at the palm frond in Kiran’s hand. “…Oh! Yeah, I don’t see why not!” @Twig | Kiran + Riki

"Eh. I don't think the other contestants would appreciate me eating someone", Kiran mused. They looked at the leaves or a moment critically, before trying to chew on a tip of one. They pulled a face, took the leaf out and covered their mouth to stick their tongue out in distaste. "Ew, okay no, I'm not eating this." They didn't throw the palm frond away, however. They looked at it for a miment longer, then glanced down at their bare body, and shrugged. Then, they started wrapping the palm leaf around their waist. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“Oh yeah, probably not the best idea to eat a contestant, but well, desperate times call for desperate measures!” Calamity watched as Kiran wrapped the leaf around their waist, nodding as they did so. “Oh! Those fronds could tooootally be used for makeshift clothing! That’s really smart!” @Twig | Kiran + Riki

"Maybe if I'm really desperate", they shrugged. "Mhm, hopefully I can get it stay on and not fall, that's be awkward", they huffed with amusement as they tried to tie the stiff plant strips together. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien (if you wanna have them get zapped soon i'm good with it! :3 )

(Sounds good!) “People do some wiiiild things when they’re desperate. Can’t blame ‘em though,” the demon began to pick up fronds and tie them together as well, and after a few moments held it out to Kiran. “Hmm, if you tie it tight enough, it should stay, but I think you’re looking at a temporary solution. We could always see if someone here has the means to make clothing?” @Twig | Kiran + Riki

Kiran looked up at the fronds Calamity held out to them, and looked up at her. "Maybe... Why are you so nice to me?" they couldn't help but ask, as they reached out to take the leafs. However, they wouldn't be able to hear the answer, before a zap snatched them away from the beach. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Calamity looked back at Kiran with a smile. As she opened her mouth to explain her very much anticipated reason as of why, a zap forcibly tore them from their conversation. Impeccable timing. When Kiran would inevitably return to the spot outside the shelter, the demon would be nowhere to be seen, as her name had been called, forcing her into a ‘switch’ of the two sides. All Calamity could do at this point was hope they’d meet again before one of them was thrown into the arena… @Twig | Kiran + Riki

Kiran staggered back a little, heart racing, and looked around. Once the only thing left by Calamity seemed to be the tracks in the sand, and a few palm fronds, they figured they were alone again. They sighed lightly, tightened their makeshift skirt, and trudged away.
