Toward the #right-pine-forest, there was a mid-sized black stone room. It was hot on the inside, and lit by many torches. There were some windows high up on the walls, letting out a lot of smoke so you could still breathe in the room. There was quite a lot of workout equipment in this room, all mechanical and not electrical. Weights, workout mats, medicine balls, punching bags, and manual treadmills lined the space.

Yeah it was hot as hell in here, but even with the winter clothes she'd miraculously acquired, Acxiom was STILL freezing outside, and welcomed the change. They weren't really working out though, just kinda sitting against the wall, directing the torchlight wherever he wanted, wondering if they should go find Rakin and ask for their phone and earbuds back again. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"..." Tsubari didn't make it very far before noticing the addition of clothing to her person. Without hesitation, she seemed to glitch out of it, appearing next to the now fallen pile of clothes. Not even pretending to dust it off, she pulled out a screen and fumbled with some settings. Upon confirming the details, her model seemed to shift eeeever so slightly. As in a single thin scarf was added. That's it. 2000s teenager behavior. She stepped into the training room, only noticing the slightest change in temperature. It seems that whole sensory experience was never finished. "My disappointment is immeasurable." A training room. It loses points further considering she is the most electrical thing in it. Her gaze settled almost by default on Acxiom. Not only were they the only living thing in the area, but they stood out quite vividly against the sad environment. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

All the torchlight in the room seemed to freeze for a moment as Acxiom lost focus and looked to Tsubari instead, before the light went back to looking normal and fluid, as torchlight does. "Already? Man, normally it takes me at least a few days to disappoint people" Acxiom replied in a very clearly jokey tone, standing up but still leaning against the wall. He was definitely a bit eye-catching in this room, much lighter than the walls around him, and his new winter clothes were pretty vibrant, as were his eyes, which glowed in their various colours every now and then. Tsubari was eye-catching to him as well, specifically due to the interesting un-reality she seemed to carry about her. Acxiom couldn't really describe it to himself, and seemed to be trying to figure her out when he looked at her. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"I was talking about the room." She replied simply, her own eyes wandering before falling back on Acxiom. Not that there was much to wander to. Tsubari definitely had resting bitch face, and it wasn't entirely clear whether her attitude would match. "You happen to be the most interesting thing in it. "I do tend to light up a room" They smiled and shrugged. Ha. You're so funny Acxiom. "You're pretty interesting yourself though. How'd you get here?" Acxiom didn't really feel like asking straight up if she was human or not, as they themselves had been asked that quite a lot and answering that question gets annoying sometimes. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"Is that a joke I don't have the context to understand?" She asked flatly before reaching into a nonexistant pocket and producing an uno reverse card. "Not telling you shit til you tell me who you are." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪 (edited)

Acxiom actually looked so flabbergasted by the uno reverse for a moment. "Shit, you came prepared." Acxiom replied. They'd get her next time. "I'm Acxiom. The context for the joke is this," all three of their eyes started glowing, blasting RGB rays overtop of Tsubaris head for a few seconds before they blinked and cut them off. "And some guy named Rakin kidnapped me from a party and dropped me here. Now your turn." @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"Oh. That was very... literal" She fiddled with her scarf for a moment. "Tsubari. I suppose Rakin unintentionally did me a favor and also kidnapped me. Don't know where we are. Just appeared in a random kitchen and wandered around for a bit." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

She raised her eyebrows at Tsubaris response to her joke. Evidently she both found it funny and was a bit confused by it. "yeah I spawned in by a fire with some people. Cold as balls out there." Acxiom realized they probably wanted to be friends with that dude who made fire. Kinda felt like it would come in handy like everywhere except for this room specifically. "A favour, huh? How so?" She seemed pretty dubious of Rakins goodwill. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

She resisted the inherent urge to roll her eyes. I wouldn't even say anything was eyeroll worthy. "Right... so that's what the clothes were about." She trailed off when Acxiom asked another question. "Welllll it's nunya." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

"Is the reason why you could materialize an uno card out of thin air also nunya?" Acxiom genuinely did just look curious but was also currently refraining from making comments on Tsubaris weird, but also weirdly endearing sense of humour (or lack thereof). @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"Yes. Exactly that." She gave a shit-eating grin. "I didn't ask about your instant rave, did I?" @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

"Not a rave unless you can get music to appear out of thin air too" Acxiom replied, almost in the form of a challenge, with a little smile of his own. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Their expression didn't change much but the glow in their eyes brightened a little. "Weird. You look like you'd like them. You should do that if we get out of here" From their tone, they clearly meant that, especially since it seemed like they had been to some. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"What is that supposed to mean exactly?" She's not the brightest. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Luckily Acxiom was very bright! at least in the literal sense! maybe not in the way that was needed right now, since she couldn't seem to pinpoint what part of her statement Tsubari was asking about. "Go to a rave? Dance, sing, get high, all that. Usually you wanna do it with friends if you got those." @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"So there is singing at a rave-" Tsubari mentioned, looking st Acxiom with confusion. She seemed to completely ignore the friend comment. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

"bad singing. Usually covered up by the EDM n' stuff. If a rave was only bad singing and funky lighting, that would just be a karaoke night, or a panic at the disco concert." @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"bad music is personal to me." Acxiom looked upwards, and spoke a little louder, as if trying to talk to someone other than Tsubari. "So is not having any music though, so I could really use my phone and earbuds right now" Then they went back to looking at Tsubari. "They are fun. "Fair enough?" Tsubari looked around, taking in their words. She had never really considered bad music. She understood music... kinda. "So... why are you in here then?" @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom tilted their head a bit when she spoke. "Didn't really feel like talking to anyone, or being cold." Acxiom shrugged. "You're not bad to talk to though" they added, as if worried she'd get the wrong impression. "What about you?" @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"What about me? I showed up in a kitchen? They were talking about laying eggs, which they all looked human so it was kinda weird so I just walked away and wandered until I ended up in here. And they even tried to put me in some gaudy (i'm sorry rakin she doesn't mean it) clothes too." She crossed her arms, huffing as she recounted her steps. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom looked down at their own new clothes. It was just now occuring to him how odd it was to have woken up with nice and stylized winter clothes just, suddenly on. She almost... lags? For a second before answering. "If they're anything like real amphibians, they lay eggs." That's it. Nothing more. "Oh right... that guy mentioned it. But when I asked more he just didn't say anything. He also brought up being able to breathe... Maybe the cold isn't what should kill us?" @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom just kinda let her lag for a bit. Maybe they were getting with the program. "I was gonna ask more but I accidentally insulted his leg size and he nearly crushed my hand. Breathing, huh? Suffocating would kinda suck." @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"I... imagine it would." She thought. "I asked who would want anyone dead or whatever and he just got cagey. Didn't know he was strong... or sensitive about being short." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom did that little exhale-through-nose laugh at Tsubaris comment. "I wasn't even talking about his height, it was about the stupid tiny frog legs hanging out of his sash. He said they were his legs and I was like, how would those even support his weight?" They sounded mildly frustrated, and they made hand gestures every so often when they spoke. After they were done rambling about that, the hands went back in pockets though. "Yeah I dunno who wants us dead. Kinda wack of them." @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"He had what?" Tsubari hadn't even noticed. "Maybe it's a cultural thing? Could be a slight in his eyes." She commented, unsure of what the hell that was about. After a moment Tsubar hummed, rocking back and forth on her feet. "Wack is a good word to use. I'm not sure how exactly they're gonna kill me though-" @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom shrugged. "Yeah, guess it was." She nodded in agreement to Tsubaris assertion that wack was a good word. Acxiom obviously thought so. "Do you- not have to breathe?" @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Tsubar looked st Acxiom with an almost blank stare. "No?" She answered as if it was obvious. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

"guess we will. I make a habit of trying to stay alive as long as it suits me, so maybe I'll stick around long enough to see if you die." Like that made any sense. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

"Right... We will see indeed..." She trailed off a bit before looking around again. "This place is boring me, I'm gettin outta here. This building, btw, I doubt there's a way out of this winter wonderland." Tsubari turned to leave without much else to say. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

"Nice meetin ya, Tsubari. keep on not dying." Acxiom also planned to leave, but now they couldn't leave right at this moment, that'd just be awkward. So instead they sat back down as if planning to stay. @Gab | Ip🪩 + Subaru

Without warning, a frazzled young man stumbled his way into the training room. Looking like he was searching around for something or someone yet didn't want to bother anyone with his searching. Muttering something under his breath. "Poppy? Poppy I swear to God you can not sneak off like this this isn't- ugh where are you ya sassy rabbit??" @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom tripped over nothing and had to catch himself as the guy barging in startled them, despite the guys apparent attempt at quietness. Acxiom looked around in confusion, then back at the guy. "How'd you manage to get a rabbit here? And then lose it?" The question didn't sound like it was meant to be rude, more genuinely confused and a tad amused. @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

"She was with me when I was kidnappes- kidnapped- ugh mouth not make words." He groans, rubbing a hand down his face. Starting to look behind some of the equipment that was in the space. "I apologize if I interrupted anything, er, have you by chance noticed a small black rabbit walk in here? Big red bow? I saw her tracks outside so I think she walked in here. I think. Sorry." He quickly sputtered out in one breath. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom shook their head. "Nope, sorry man, don't think I saw her. I can help you look though." Not like Acxiom was doing anything anyway. They started to also look behind and around some stuff, like the other guy, unprompted. "Kidnapping wasn't fun, huh?" @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

"...." He seems to pause for a moment in the awkward position he was in looking behind some of the rolled up gym matts. "You could definately say that. But yes! Yes uh, that would be helpful. Last time she snuck away like this she jumped from my uncle's rafters and almost gave him a heart attack." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Hm. Code for AWFUL-but-we-dont-gotta-talk-about-that, probably. Fair enough. The smiled a bit at the story, their eyes gave a pulsing glow for a few seconds as if in silent amusement. "She got a name? Does calling for her help?" @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

"Poppy. And sometimes it does. Other times she er... 'commits to the bit' you could say." He sighs. Nervously combing his hand through his messy hair. One could almost see for a moment a outline of what looked like a scar on his temple hidden behind the brunette locks. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom chuckled a little. "I think she's neat." Acxiom looked up just in time to catch the scar showing, green eye glowing a bit brighter. "Neat scar by the way." @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

He wasn't really paying attention to the compliment, looking around the weight rack as he wondered where the hell poppy was. "Poppy I swear- please come out!" @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom just shrugged at the non-response and instead kept looking for Poppy. Didn't call for her though, just searched. He lit up his eyes, and they formed spotlights on the ground that he concentrated into one white spot light, then just walked around and used it as a flashlight to look for her. @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

Taylor groaned. Lookimg for a few minutes more looking around blindly calling her name before giving up and just looking everywhere on the ground she could be. It was only when he heard a quiet and familiar clink of buttons against glass did he look up... and up. Towards the high windows to see a familiar shape looking out one of them. "Poppy?! How did you get up there- wah! He was backing up to get a better view of the rabbit plush, stumbling over one of the medicine balls and falling over himself. Poppy perked hearing this and finally looked down, seeing the young man but didn't move from her spot. "Poppy why are you like this?" @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom looked up as Taylor did. The spotlight trailed across the wall before focusing on Poppy. "Is that...a stuffed animal?" It was easier to see Poppy with the bright light on her. Straight outta toy story. Acxiom dimmed the light a little, just incase the button eyes were..sensitive or something? @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

Poppy only waved down at the two, seeming to be proud of herself.... at least as proud as you can tell she is since she can't really emote with her face at all. Taylor finally got back to his feet after a moment grumbling under his breath. Cupping his mouth as he yelled up at her. "Ms. Poppy get your fluffy tail back down here please! Wait wait wait actually how did you get up there. Ugh is there a ladder-" He pauses, awkwardly chuckling when realizing he didn't mention the part of her being a stuffed plush. "Oh er... well. Yes. I made her when I was younger. B-but that's another- that's a story for another time. Help me find a ladder? I don't know if she'll pull a thread if she jumps down from that height. Acxiom nodded. She briefly wondered if Poppy would react to a laser pointer. Probably not, kinda stupid, bunnies aren't predators. "Don't think there's a ladder in here, this place got a maintenance shed or something?" She turned off the eye-flashlight, looking around normally now. @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

"Goodness... I don't believe so. Hm... maybe she could jump on one of the medicine balls? Would that be too hard? Maybe a matt- no no that would be worse." He mumbles as he thought aloud how to get her down without too much of a hassel. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

"you got like- a toy she likes or something? She's soft, could just land in your arms if you get her to move" They're not entirely helpful and they're just thinking out loud but yk. This guy cared about his bunny and Acxiom could tell he was pretty anxious about this. @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

"Ah...." He seemed to forget that she, indeed, was soft enough to safely catch if they could convince her to jump. "Right. Right. Er. Ugh no I don't have anything toy wise that would interest her. She was the one thing on my person when I was taken..." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom looked up. "Hey buddy, wanna come down here? Your guy here's worried" Acxiom held out their arms. They truly did not believe Poppy would jump down to them but it's better than doing nothing. It also hit them that they didn't know this guys name yet. "I'm Acxiom, by the way. You?" @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

"Oh right. Well my apologies, my name is Taylor. Taylor Jacquard and- WAH!" As if she was waiting for the right moment she leapt down from the high up window right onto Taylor's face. Using it as a spring board to cushion her landing as she flipped down into Acxiom's arms to greet the new person. "At least she came down.... ugh this is why I only used cotton for you." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom laughed, mainly at the noise Taylor made, before nearly falling over when the bunny jumped on them. "Well, guess she wanted to say hi." Acxiom looked down at the little guy now in their arms, holding her carefully, head tilted. Their eyes shone brighter. "How did you- make her? Never seen anything like this." @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

"I... sewed her up when I was younger." He tentively explains, slightly taking his time to find the right words to use. "I mean. I didn't mean to do it on purpose, I was dealing with some personal stuff and well. She was the first one to turn out like this. Hence the po- portion of stitches that tend to need to be redone sometimes." He ringed his hands together as he talked. Glancing at the rabbit in question as she tilted her head to look back at Acxiom. Her ears slightly flopping to the side as she did. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom nodded as they listened, eyes still on Poppy. They seemed really intrigued by her, tentatively raising a hand to pet her. "Damn, that's pretty cool. Is that your thing then? You can create little guys like Poppy?" They're very genuinely intrigued by this. He looked back up at Taylor. @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

"I mean I guess its my 'thing'. Though Poppy is a bit of a special case. I only did what I did with her one other time..." He glances at Poppy, giving a anxious yet soft smile in her direction as she let him pet her. "But she's the only one with as much personality as she does now. Otherwise I just temporarily make the dolls - mostly plushes - move. Much easier to transport them you know?" He gives a soft chuckle as he continues, waving his hands as he talked more. "That and the younger children that visit my uncle's toy shop love when I'd make them dance or what not. Things like that so the parents get a moment to relax while they look around and- ah." He halts himself. Pressing a couple fingers to his lips as if just realizing how much he was talking to Acxiom. Making little gestures the entire time he was talking. "M-my apologies. I don't normally talk to people outside of the store- I must have prattled off your ears off by now." He chuckles, ringing his hands again as he glances back up at the other. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom had actually seemed very content to just let Taylor ramble, giving eye contact when she wasn't looking at Poppy, nodding along as she listened. "Nah, you're all good. Kinda cool that you can do all that, make them alive and stuff." Despite Acxioms chill-er tone, her eyes were bright, much brighter than when she'd first met Taylor. She really did find all this neat, smiling as they glanced back at Taylor. They weren't sure what to do with Poppy. They liked holding her a lot more than they thought they would, but didn't wanna like, restrict her from leaving if she wanted or something, so kept the hold pretty loose. @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

He slightly perks up seeing that she didn't mind. His smile slightly becoming warmer as he nods, holding a hands to his chest as he continued to wring them together as he walked a bit closer to Poppy and her. "Thank you... they're completely harmless too. I- I'm not really the type to add anything that could hurt anyone to them. But. Yeah." He stumbled a bit with his words before continuing. "But yeah uh- if you want to let her down you can and she'll probably hop onto my shoulder. But if you want to hold her for a lil by all means. She likes feeling tall." He teases. You could just feel how Poppy would roll her button eyes if she could. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

"Does she now?" They raised Poppy up in their arms for a moment "Simba." Then brought her back down. Just wanted that one joke. They're doing great. They nodded, wouldn't be offended if Poppy hopped off, especially after the simba thing, but did like holding her clearly. "Could you do this kinda thing with hot wheels and have a mind-race or is it just stuffed animals?" @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

"It had to be dolls or plushes. Typically it's good to keep in mind of their anatomy. Something as complex as the mechanics of toy cars or other vehicles likely would just be a headache to deal with." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom looked a bit surprised by that. "Oh. Never really thought of it that way, anatomy I mean. And mechanics." He looked down at Poppy. "Does she have- a beating heart and everything then?" @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

"Oh goodness no! I think if I could Frankenstein something at her size I'd need to make it much more anatomically correct for a humanoid body for her. She's just a special lil stuffed rabbit toy. I wouldn't even want to imagine the mess that would be instead of using some stuffing and thread." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Huh. Kinda goes too far into necromancy if Acxiom thought too hard about it. "Yeah that'd be kinda wack, huh? Sticking with stuffed animals is good. You seem good at it. She's cute" he continued. Seemed to get more talkative the more Taylor talked to them. @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

That compliment immediately made Taylor fluster. Stumbling over his words as he only really was able to get put a quick thank you. He really wasn't used to many people besides his uncle complimenting him this much. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom appeared a little confused by the reaction, third eye widening a little, nodding at the thank you. "..so what do you think of all this? Where we are n what they want us to do n stuff" Acxiom asked after some silence. They also just, sat cross legged on the floor. Tired of standing. Still holding Poppy unless she decided to hop off. @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

"..." His smile slowly fades for a moment. Slipping as fluidly as the snowfall outside as he seems to look off for a moment in the silence. Glancing out the windows as he seems to wonder for himself for a moment. Poppy took the time to gently leave the loose hold Acxiom held her with. Making her way over to Taylor to hug his pant leg. As if like a switch he zones back in. Blinking before switching back to that soft smile he had as he looks to Poppy. Leaning down to pat her head. "I think we should try our hardest to live." @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom opened their arms fully as Poppy left to let her go easier, even if they didn't want to. They frowned a little at Taylor's answer, looking contemplative for a bit, sticking their hands in their pockets with the new absence of Poppy. After a little, they nodded. "Easier said than done, I guess. They kinda went about this whole thing weirdly." @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

"Yeah.... yeah they did." He gives a slight sigh before taking Poppy into his hands and letting her rest on his shoulders in a more comfortable spot for the both of them. @sketti | Acxiom 💿 + Damien 🌪

Acxiom watched as Taylor did so with a little smile. "At least we get cool clothes out of it, that bits not bad" They looked down at their own new winter wear. @Barry | Taylor + Kevin

After searching around for her friends for a while and finding nothing, Madison retreated back in to the warmth of one of the buildings. This building would be quite fitting for preparing for whatever her upcoming fight would be. She was very out of shape, and she had hardly won her fight back in the first tournament... She wasn't about to be sent to another dungeon or killed or whatever. She sat on the floor and adjuted her legs to a more athletic build before hopping on a treadmill and running at full pace. After having a good time at the bonfire, Sovran figured that it would be best to perhaps explore a little and see what was around. When he entered the training, he was rather surprised at the sight of another person there as well. Madison was busy inside of the room tinkering with her legs again, and sweating fairly profusely from her brief exercise. Upon the sudden entry of another person- one who was yelling her name- she flung her arms up over her face and collapsed on to her back. "Well, from experience, it's pretty good to bring a knife to a fist fight." Sovran hummed. He focused on the metal of the handle. It shifted form and moved like water as it swirled in Sovran's grasp. As he got up from a crouch, the metal reformed itself into a firm tactical knife. He gave a few practice swings before he twirled the knife in his grasp. Nice, perfect, light enough. "Isn't that basically cheating? Not that I'm opposed to winning by any means necessary but.." Madison shrugged. She watched closely as the metal behaved strangely in his hands. Man, if only her powers let her do that! Then she wouldn't have to design machines to shape everything.. "Considering there're others who got powers who can use 'em, a knife wouldn't do you any harm to have." Sovran stated. At Madison's reaction, Sovran tensed up slightly. He quickly took a step back and lowered the knife further. The handle was still in Madison's direction with the pointed end toward himself. "Easy, easy, Madison. Madison took a few quick but deep breaths, slowly moving her arms down from her face. She glanced between the knife, Sovran, and the knife again.. "It's.. Always going to freak me out seeing someone swing a knife around me.." Madison shivered, but ever so slowly reached out toward the handle. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"I'll be sure never to do that again, I'm sorry 'bout that. Just wanted to make sure it was properly weighted." Sovran apologized with a slight wince. "If I could make you a gun, I would, I just- Dunno the details 'bout it," Sovran apologized as he pulled the blade closer to himself. The blade began to reshape itself once more. "Well, guns are mainly mechanical and not electrical, so they theoretically could be made with what we have here.. But we don't have any gunpowder, so.. It wouldn't work." Madison explained briefly. She looked over at the knuckles. "What are the odds I'll be up against someone who I can get that close to? “Crap, if only we had some, that would’ve been good for you,” He sighed. “And you never know, you may be able to get in close. I’m not sayin’ you have to depend solely on this, but it’s an option, gives you a bit of a heads up on someone. "I'll take that. It's better than nothing. I'll hopefully have a second to change my legs after the fight starts. Right now they're in a good athletic shape, but it puts a bit of strain on the ends of my real legs. I'll probably change back soon, but I do wanna get some more exercising in. Awful. Awful. Awful. Awful. Awful. She was gonna throw up. But she didn't, so that was good at least. It took her 14 minutes and 36 seconds to stop crying, and 2 minutes to start crying again. It then took another 9 minutes and 23 seconds to stop crying, and only a debilitating 4.2 minutes to pull herself up from the kitchen floor. Her stopwatch was missing, too. Otty gave her the stopwatch for her birthday. She had managed to force herself to walk, somewhere, anywhere, and ended up at a building she had never been in before. But it was warm, and there was training equipment, and it was quiet and empty. Something lingering in the room, a feeling, a familiar presence, even. Jacket off, boots off, hair tied up into the worlds ugliest ponytail. She situated herself in front of one of the sandbags, much larger than her, but nothing far too unusual. She had to fight in order to survive, in order to stop thinking. With a grunt clenched between her teeth, Connie swung a balled up fist into one of the punching bags. Electricity sparked into the air from the impact, fizzling out painlessly on her knuckles. She just wanted to shrivel up and cry again, but her eyes were hurting, and so was her head. But she couldn't start crying now, not when there was training to be done.

From the right pine forest, Celena got sick of wallowing in the cold and made her way to the nearest building, which happened to be the training room. She stumbled inside, shivering and partially covered in show before she shook it off at the entrance. Brrrrr. Muy frío. Upon spotting someone else in the training room, Celena awkwardly kept to herself, not wanting to interrupt their training. @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Connie didn't seem to notice the door open, nor did she seem to notice it shut, either. She was too lost in training and punching the frickin' sandbag with the strength of a fifteen year old. Pale yellow lightning crackled into the air as she let out a little 'argh', her hand making contact with the punching bag again. Connie blinked, glancing over her shoulder at the person that had materialized- no, opened the door and walked- into the building. Dang, she felt like an absolute idiot for not noticing earlier. "M- hi!" she greeted, grimacing at the raspy crackle in her voice. Uh oh. Post-crying. She didn't seem to recognize her from the announcement earlier, as she made her way over to her- another kid? "Um, hi! I'm Co- AUGH," she suddenly groaned, covering her nose a little- rude, Connie! "Mm- that- au- what is that smell-?" Red, angry, angry red. "Aghk- your arms!" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

It’s okay, Celena’s voice also had the teary rasp to it. They were both teary girls.

"Don't go!" Connie exclaimed, eyes watery at the smell. Like Rei's cooking, but worse. "Uh- are- are you okay? Um- I- I can get a first aid kit! Uh! Gwuh-" As quick as lightning, she had bolted off to the walls, in search of a first aid kit or something to help her- Celena! Yeah, she got her name. Smartie kid. "Um, uh, I'm Connie!" she called over, scouring the walls. "Nice to meet you, uh- Celena!" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“I’m okay- It’s just- My powers sometimes do that when I g-get upset, but- It’s okay!” Celena quickly reassured. “Nice to meet you, Connie..” Celena watched as Connie darted around. “I-if you can’t find one, it’s okay, I can heal with my powers. Connie, the fifteen year old, still seemed pretty frazzled- nerves worsened when she couldn't find the frickin' dang frickin' Fuck first aid kit. She was about to miserably announce the news that her injuries would remain...untreated...until Celena spoke. "Your powers can do both?" she asked, a little awed by that. Like. Yeah, powers that healed were one thing, but powers that could heal and do stuff? Double cool! "Uh- wait, wait, are you alright now? Mm, it looked kinda...bad." "Al...right," Connie hesitantly said, fiddling with her overalls a little bit. She seemed to be reassured that she was doing alright; she didn't...look to be in that much pain, but people were kinda good at hiding that. She figured she'd drop it regardless. “Yeah, I did,” Celena shivered, still a bit rattled from the cold. “It’s super cold over here. On the other side, it was really hot, and there were beaches.” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

"A beach, huh? Man, that sounds great. I'd much rather have to stay at a hot beach than in this cold...cold. Place." Maybe Sovran could do some fishing there, too. "If you're cold, you can have my jacket!" Connie offered, pointing over at the kind of. Sad lump of her jacket and boots. "I've just been training in here, for...um...I'unno. A bit. I don't think I could even manage to wear my jacket now, even if I wanted to." “It was okay, but then there was a big hurricane, and a lot of things got destroyed.” Celena felt an ache of despair in her chest at the cruel reminder that so much of the land had been destroyed. The crops had been entirely ruined. Trees had been torn down. “But- It’s okay, thanks for the offer of the jacket,” Celena gave her a small smile. “I’ll bear through it.” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

"Aw, bummer," she softly said, frowning a little bit. "I, I hope no one got hurt, though! Not that the stuff getting destroyed was a...better choice. Um." She picked at her nails, feeling a liiittle foolish now. Ha ha- bear through it! Oh, she was miserable. "It's...just cold here," she said after a moment. "It was snowing when we got here, though. And there's a few forests around on the edge! Uh, there's monsters there, though? This big toad-frog, thing." Yeah, uh- Celena did not look prepared for the weather. Which was kinda weird, since everyone got sent into here with some suuuper warm clothes. "Uh! Well, if you do need it, you can grab it! “It’s okay, I get what you mean,” Celena quickly reassured. “No one got hurt. It’s okay. Even if stuff got destroyed, it can be rebuilt.” Celena blinked a few times. “There’s- Monsters here? "Yeah, yeah! Stuff can be rebuilt, no worries!" She certainly looked a little better at Celena's reassurances. "Mhm, monsters- uh, Doctor Lykos said there was, like...a big poison toad? Frog? In the forest? And other 'beasts' . Crabs are great, though! Gotta love crabs. Yum." After a moment, she hesitantly asked, "Um...how did your powers...do that? Sorry if it's a touchy thing to talk about- just, um, I've never seen powers do...both of that before. Or, uh, heard of them, either." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"Mmhm, even if things come down, we can always try again to rebuild." Celena nodded. She even gave Connie a little thumbs up, momentarily forgetting about the burns on her hands. Owch. That was fine. Celena squinted slightly as she processed what Connie was saying. "Poison frog? And other beasts? I think I was just in a forest- Oh man, I'm glad I didn't bump into anything, then. Thanks big time for the heads up!" She glanced down to her arms. "Uhm- No, it's not too touchy. My powers- If I get too upset, sometimes they can act up and fire back on me.." "I didn't see 'em before- but it's good you didn't run into them! Especially when you just got here." Verrry cold. Brr. And not fun to be hurt on toppa that, either. Connie 'ooh'ed quietly at the explanation of her powers, though her voice trailed off slowly. ...Right. The match. Even if she couldn't see what happened, she could still hear that poor girl...dying. Oh, she didn't wanna think about that. Not anymore. She really didn't wanna think about that. Sovvy- Connie puffed her chest out as she spoke, trying to offset the anxiety bubbling in her stomach again. "Your powers sound pretty neat though! I kinda get the backfiring thing, sometimes it happens to me too! Uh, except its like, static, instead of really hurting me." Babbling. Rambling. Talking. Connie th'chatterbox, good ol'Connieo. "It's kinda like the emotions too, I guess? Except it's when I'm too happy. Or excited. Oh, and if I lose my talisman! It's this!" She immediately started scrounging around for something in her overalls, eagerly chattering; "but your powers still sound super cool! You can heal and- hurt- yeah! Ergh- bwuh- is it fire? "Yeah, it would've been real bad luck if I ran into them when I got here," Celena chuckled quietly. Celena listened as Connie rambled. Lightning powers, a bit of a rambler, full of energy.. Definitely felt like someone she knew. Unable to help herself, she smiled as she watched Connie scramble around the training room. "Static, huh? So, it gives you a bit of a zip-zap?" She chuckled. "My powers aren't fire, they're sunlight, so- Kind of like fire a bit when when I'm upset, the sunlight gets too hot and can cause burns, but they can heal, too. "Ooo, sunlight powers!" she chimed in, now kneeling at the jacket pile. "That's actually so cool! Sunlight, I've never heard of it before!" There were so many different powers here! If not for the whole...everything, she'd be writing down everything she could. (Alas, the Rakin guy seemed to have taken her notebook, too.) "So, like, emotion-based powers? Or just, y'know, not as emotion-based, but happens, sometimes?" "NYAHAH," Connie loudly cheered, pulling out a little rubber stamp from her jacket's pocket. "This is it! My talisman, that is! Nyahaha." Nearly slipping onto her jacket again, she jogged over to Celena in her socks, holding out the stamp for her to look at like some bug she found. It was this little star-shaped wooden stamp- poorly carved, and littered with old stickers. "My powers gimme a liiittle bit of a zip-zap, yeah! I, I got lightning powers, so I can run around realll quick and do all kinds'a cool lightning stuff- ooo, watch, watch, watch-" She was tossing the stamp into Celena's hands without looking if she caught it or not, eagerly jogging off whilst giggling like a little maniac. Celena smiled. "They're kiiinda emotion based, but not really- It used to be that I had to be in a good mood to use them, but things have kinda shifted with them. Now, I just have to be sure not to be super upset, or else they're fizzle out like it did earlier." Celena looked at the talisman and blinked a few times at it. It was kinda cute, the little star with stickers all over it. Definitely childish, but the cutesy kind of way. Celena approved of it. "That's cool!" Connie called, standing across the room now. She was eagerly rubbing her hands together, as if she was trying to warm them up. "Your powers kinda evolved, then! That's awesome, I didn't know they could do that!" "Okay, okay, okay- watch!" Her hands pressed tightly together, Connie swiftly lifted them above her head and pulled them apart. For a moment, it was as if there was a little, crackling, shimmering star in her hands- Before she clapped, loudly. With a thunderous crackle, the star exploded in a spectacular array of sparks and pale lightning. When it happened, the goofy little stickers on the stamp had been shining brightly. But now, they had dimmed considerably. The sparks were still very much active on the ground, though, jumping up and crackling at random times. Best not to wander close, it seemed. "Tada!" Connie breathlessly said, arms splayed with delight. There was still lightning dancing along her forearms and palms. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“Yeah, it’s- It’s been a long time with these powers, so- They did change..” Celena spoke somewhat awkwardly, though she still smiled. Her eyes widened at the sight of the star, the sound, the glimmer- It was all entirely captivating. Any and all sadness that had lingered in her had disappeared entirely. “That’s so cool!” Celena gave a few claps of her hands. “I’ve never seen anyone with lightning do that!” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Connie shuffled eagerly in place, the biggest grin on her face. The sparks were still very much active, but it didn't look like she minded too much. "Thank you!" she chirped, bowing verrry politely. "I learned it from my dama! But, uh, did more! Lightningy stuff with it! They do star stuff- but I- so- so the star isn't actually a star, it's just the shape- but, all the lightning's kinda, like, builllding up inside of it, so when I pop it, all- all the energy inside, it like, all the- all the lightning inside, it just goes BAM, it explodes!" She was grinning, gesturing with her hands as she chattered away. "So, these sparks, if you touch em- like if it touches your skin, or somethin', it paralyzes you! It's just kinda tingly, no worries, like feelin' numb, but it's just super tingly and zappy! Uh, I never actually tried it on anyone? Just Otty, they let m- Otty's my dama- they let me use it on them once, or twice, but I don't think it was a fair test, since they're used to me zapping them- on accident, on accident, on accident!" She now pointed at the talisman in Celena's hands- "That's my talisman! The closer it is to me the stronger I can use my lightning! The further it is, uh...the wonkier it gets! I guess! I put a buncha stickers on there just, to, y'know- make it feel homier! I carved it m'self outta wood 'n all! Well, not by myself myself, but, mostly! I tried to get more...lightningy stickers? But I didn't find many, so, uh! I managed!" On the stamp were, indeed, lightningy stickers. But if you looked closer, there was some sort of sticker between a lightning cloud and an octopus, turned pale with light and age. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Oh yeah, this girl’s energy definitely felt familiar. Celena nodded along, not overwhelmed in the slightest bit, as she listened to Connie. “That’s a pretty cool move!! It makes for a nice trick, and a nice attack, too!! A real pretty attack, if I say so!” She smiled. “And the sparks are really cool and clever- If you were surrounded by enemies, you could do that and paralyze a ton at once!” Celena hummed as she looked to the talisman. “Ohhhh- That’s cool! It’s like a little power booster for you, it’s like your ‘lightning rod’ to help conduct and make your power stronger! I like that a lot.” Celena squinted at the sticker before her eyes widened with surprise. “Is this- A Jay Walker Ninja sticker?” Celena asked. "It's suuuper pretty! I love using it just for funsies- I can make a smaller one, too! Not as big but it's nice for some fireworks on the sand! Uh- lightning...works? Anyways- thank you! I'm glad you like it! It's verrry clever, heh." She was nodding her head eagerly, a content little smile on her face. Yes, a very smart move from Connie! One she totally didn't steal from her dama! More nodding, faster now. Her hair was practically thrashing back and forth as she nodded. "Uh, huh, just like a lightnin' rod! It helps me keep a hang on my powers, so I usually keep it on me! It's, uh, usually in my overall pockets, somewhere, but I just jammed it on into 'm'jacke-" "It is a Jay Walker sticker!" she was suddenly squealing, darting through the sparks (ow oo prickly tingly socks ow oou) to stop in front of Celena. Her eyes were just about crackling with yellow energy, little hands clenched into tiny fists as she shook with excitement. "The Blue Ninja! The Lightning Ninja! Yes! Yeah! He's so frickin' cool! Maybe you can make it into a necklace so you always have it on? It’d be nice.” “Good, steer clear of the city. There’s always some kind of disaster happening there,” Celena shuddered slightly. “But yeah- I’ve seen Jay, I know him a decent amount.” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Connie was just way too excited to really pay attention to what Celena was saying, rocking excitedly back and forth on her heels. "Mhm, stay clear of the city, got it, yup!" she chattered, taking the little talisman from Celena's hand. "Necklace, yeah- I don't go into the city much, just for events sometimes- Jay's super cool! I got a buncha his pins right here!" It was only two pins- but only one of them was remotely Blue Ninja-like. "The way he fights is just- bam! Pow! Zap! Zap! It's so cool, I wanna meet him one day-" "Wait, like, you know him?" she gasped, voice dropped to a hush. "Like- like know, know him? I don't know him! I know- of him, but- uh-oh. Uh Oh." I live in a small town near th'water, so we don't really hear about the city a lot, but we, we, we had these like, grab bags, with stickers, and pins, and my first one was Jay! “You two are pretty similar,” Celena couldn’t help but giggle, though something about it felt off, as though she was tired. “Lightning powers, blue, bit of a rambler- I can see why he’s your favorite. Connie, never the best at paying attention to important things, fidgeted a little with her pins, some sort of dejected expression on her face. Right, yeah. Training got her mind to stop thinking. "Yeah," she quietly said, tucking the talisman back into her overalls pocket. Nice and cozy and safe. She and Otty carved it together. "Yeah- mm, Doctor Lykos, he said we could get outta here too. Yeah." Resist the game, take down the true master. Shuffling back to the training bag, Connie took a swing at it, lightning crackling where her punch landed. "The doctor said to resist the, the game," she said in between swings. Sloppy. "but that was before th'fight, I guess." Her voice was heavy, straining to keep the depressive...ness out of it. “Dr. Lykos? Well- Anyone who’s a doctor normally knows what they’re talking about,” Celena nodded. “There’s surely still a way to resist it. We can figure it out.” Celena paused, taking note of the way that Connie was training. She was unsure where to take this conversation. The wulf doctor, yes. The doctor. The one with two doctorates. Dogtorates. Ha. Funny joke. She would have giggled a little bit at it, if not for the fact she was just absolutely miserable right now. She gave a small chuckle and took a seat on a nearby bench, a fond yet forlorn expression upon her face. “Last I checked, at least, he was hooked on energy drinks. Venom was the name of the brand. "Pasta's good," Connie agreed with a hum, adding a little bit of a spin into her kick. Fwumf went the sandbag, in retaliation. "I like- I like pasta, too, 'specially maccy-cheese. Reallly good, especially with a buncha barbeque sauce on it." "What- what d'you mean, last you checked? Do you make those magazines on the, the ninja, 'n stuff?" She had stopped a little at that, glancing ever briefly over her shoulder at Celena. There was a few of them at the general store whenever she'd stop by; usually older ones, though, from when the ghosts were in Styx. “You should probably stay away from them, they’re pretty bad for you. They’re tasty, but not worth it,” Celena shuddered. She had her fair share of Venom before. “Maccy-cheesy’s pretty good, I like that a lot. I also like lasagna a lot, too.” “Mm, no, not the magazines,” Celena shifted slightly. “I guess I mean since I’ve last spoken to him, o-or any of the others. It’s been a while.” With one of her hands, she created a small orb of her white light. It hovered above her head and radiated down upon her. Slowly, her arms began to heal. "I've had some peachy ones bef- wouf-" The sandbag, still in motion, really got its revenge this time by smacking into her side. Steadying the bag with her hands, she continued, "peachy ones before, but they were just fizzy and made me jittery. Lasagna's good, too! Like maccy-maccy cheese but...meatier? More flat, I guess, like a pizza. Flat." She accentuated it's flatness with her hands. "I guess I mean since I've last spoken to him, o-or any of the others." "Huh- wait- huh- wait- huh- HUH?" Connie bleated, stunned by her little statement and the sudden magic showcase. She didn't seem to be upset anymore, but was back to her overly loud and excitable self. "Was that your magic?! You talked to Jay?! Your magic's so cool! You talked to the ninja?! Is that sunlight?! You know the ninja?!" She was bouncing on her feet, that bright, vibrant expression solidly on her face. “Careful there, you don’t want the sandbag to take you out,” Celena chuckled. “And it’s weird- I like lasagna, but without the meat, so- I guess it’s more like cheesy pasta, then? With sauce? I dunno how to describe it, but a friend of mine would make the best lasagna.” “Yeah, it’s my powers,” Celena smiled a little. “Sunlight. It used to be- A bit more simpler but- Yeah, sunlight. Healing!" Static was building a little bit on her hands as she shook them, quickly making her way over to Celena with absolute glee. "You know them?" she gasped, clearly awed. "How! "Thanks- Your lightning's pretty cool, too." Celena smiled. Connie's energy was definitely infectious, though a bit overwhelming. The energy of a thousand suns truly radiated inside of this kid, Jesus. Celena briefly wondered if she would've been like this at fifteen. Perhaps. Maybe if things were different, yeah. Connie plopped herself down in front of Celena, kris-kross-apple-sauce style, her chin resting in her hands as she beamed up at Celena eagerly. "Tell me. Everything," she pleaded, dead serious. "And I mean, everything." Suddenly, she sat upright, some puzzled little expression on her face. "Wait, at one point? Does this have t'do with the, like...been a while? “I mean, there’s a lot of ‘everything,’” Celena gave a small chuckle as she sat down as well. “Uh- Kinda- It has been a while since I’ve- Spoken or seen anyone,” Celena spoke somewhat awkwardly. “I mean, we’ll likely still friends, you can still be friends with people you haven’t spoken to in a- Long time? "Really, huh?" she quietly asked, sympathetic. She had never really been alone before- she was always surrounded by like, friends and family- and even when she was out at sea, she never really was alone, corny as it sounded. She couldn't imagine not talking to people or, or not seeing them, either! "That definitely doesn't sound fun." "Ugh, friendship decay suuucks, she sighed. "Maybe? I'unno? Connie loudly hummed, tapping her chin for the briefest of moments before eagerly asking, in a hushed voice, "how did you meet the ninja?" It was pretty clear she would take any sort of answer as truth. Celena fiddled with her ribbon that adorned her outfit at the collar. She glanced down to it, a bit anxious as she thought of what to tell Connie. “.. They ran a program a few years ago,” Celena started. “It was ran by their Master with the intention of assisting kids with Elemental Powers. I didn’t really have anyone to guide me or teach me how to use my powers, so I went to them for help. That’s how I met them.” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Connie simply stared at Celena as she spoke, eyes glittering with wonder. Wow. Wow. A whole frickin' program? To help kids with powers! Elemental Powers, whoops. She didn't know about that! (How would she have?) Wow! "That's amazing," she breathed, starstruck. "You got- you got to train with the ninja! You learned how to harness your powers! You got to train- with theee Ninja! And- and you know about them- like, you know these eeny-weeny-teeny-tiiiny cool little facts about them! And they- they- they helped you with your powers and stuff! Did you reach your True Potential?!" she gasped, rocking back and forth. "I heard about it! And you got powers! I mean- of course you have powers, you were in the program! Did you? “I haven’t reached my True Potential, no,” Celena gave a shake of her head with a small, saddened smile. “But they did really help me learn how to use my powers, as well as fight. They taught me plenty of things, and I was able to help out in some fights. Granted, I was young- Probably younger than you are when I was in the program, but I was able to lend a hand here and there, especially with my healing.” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Even younger? "I'm fifteen," Connie said after a moment, the cogs turning in her head. "Wait, they taught like, thirteen year olds how to fight?!" Wait, Lloyd was like. Frickin' nine when he started. "Hm, wait, that like, makes sense? Better to get used to powers when you're younger!" "Still, that's really cool! The frickin' ninja trained you on how to fight and, and handle your powers, and stuff! That's awesome. What kinda stuff, like, like, punchin', or, or, uh- heal- pun...chin'...g?" She was trying to do some teeny little punches as an example of sorts, though the idea of heal-punching was getting her all smiley. Imagine, punching someone to heal them! “That’s actually the age I was when I went there,” Celena hummed. “Thirteen. A whole lifetime ago. It was.. Definitely better to go there while I was younger. I learned a lot real quickly about how to use and control my powers.” Celena couldn’t help but laugh a little. “No, I can’t heal by punching, but that’s something I haven’t tried out, if I’m honest. "Wow...how old are you?" she asked, very bluntly, to say the least. She was still smiling, though there was a bit of a puzzled look on her face. Time was weird. She was getting lost. But she was chatting away soon enough, mock-punching the air with even vigor. "Wait, wait, wait! Oh, you can do the healing sun thing, the thing from before- and also punch! And like, the healing, fixes the punch! Hurting! Maybe, kinda like Cole's Earth Punch, or something! Something? What, what other things did they teach you? "I'm eighteen," Celena responded. "It just- Feels like forever ago. A long forever ago." "I'll give that a try, I can still test out a bunch of things with my powers!" "You're eighteen?!" Connie gasped. Eighteen! Eighteen! What! "That- huh- what?! I didn't know you- huh- I thought you were like, as old as me! Maybe a little older, but- eighteen!" Otty was like, frickin'- she didn't know! Fifty something, or something! Eighteen was really close to her age! "Is everything gonna feel like a blur when I turn eight...een...wh- whuh-" "They taught you Spinjitzu?!" Connie all but screamed, leaping up to her feet in one swift movement. She was absolutely buzzing with delight, energy and lightning and sparks getting all ditzy and crackly along her arms and in her hair. "They! Taught! You! Spinjitzu! They taught you Spinjitzu?! "Please show me," Connie all but begged, putting on the best puppy-eyes she could muster. "Please! It's Spinjitzu!" Words could not describe how awesome this was. She hadn't actually...seen them do it before. She just saw it in videos and stuff, but it was always pretty crummy quality. But still! "I don't care if it's bad or not, please! “Thanks.” Celena smiled somewhat awkwardly as she stepped away from Connie. The girl bounced on her feet to hype herself up. Easy, easy, just take a trip down memory lane. Just gotta jump up, kick back, whip around, and spin- The world around her blurred in a series of multiple colors. Purple and yellow created her mini tornado as she performed Spinjitzu perfectly in the center of the training room. Despite how long it had been since the last time she had done it, it seemed as though her body perfectly remembered the moves. It was exhilarating, liberating, and Celena began to smile slightly as she did it. Joy bubbled in her chest the longer she did it. @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Connie held her breath as Celena began to hype herself up, forcing herself to stay still enough to actually see it happen. The videos on the internet were always kind of grainy, to be honest, and the photos were always, well- more than just blurry. And in the blink of an eye, there was a mini tornado in the middle of the training room, purpley and yellowy with bits of light coming through- just like space. She was a frickin' natural at it! And the colors, her powers, and- it- it was just so cool! Yeah, videos definitely did not do it justice. She stood there, entranced, for only the briefest of moments before she began clapping wildly for Celena, the biggest frickin' grin on her face. "YEAH!" Connie cheered, "go, go, go, Celena! Celena kept it going for several moments longer before she spun to a halt. Her hair was a wild mess and her cheeks were rosy from exertion, but she looked happy. She was smiling widely as she looked to Connie. “W-well?” She asked. “What’d you think?” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Connie was also grinning widely, her hands shaking with delight and awe. "That. Was. Awesome!" she squealed, running up to Celena. "It was so frickin' pretty! The, the, the, your Spinjitzu! What! It was so pretty, the light and, and, bits of teeny light comin' from it! And it was so smooth, it was just! Wow!" "It- I- it looks even better in person! It so smooth and fast and shimmery, and just- that was so, so, so cool!" Connie clasped her hands back together, crackling with yellow lightning, and put on the best, most polite face she could muster. "Th-thanks! I wasn't sure if I'd even be able to do it still since it's been so long since I've done it, I thought I was going to fall or break my arm or something, but I didn't!" Celena began to ramble. "And I didn't break anything, either, so that's a plus! I've also never seen it be that color before so that's pretty neat, too- Maybe because I have a lot of purple on? I don't entirely know, but- That was fun, I forgot how fun it could actually be! It was a whole rush, I just feel-" Celena gave a quick shake of her hands, which caused small sparkles to fly off. Yeah! Rambling! Connie giggled with delight as she shook her hands in turn, listening to Celena ramble. "Maybe! 'Cause you're all spinning and you're wearing purple, so your sunlight powers might be making your, your, your, Spinjitzu, your tornado purple too!" she chattered away. She loved talking about powers! It was honestly stupid fun, especially learning about new powers! Fire, water, ice, those were the most common ones! And bam, so much more. "Yeah! If you wanna! That is! But please, it'd be so frickin' awesome! It's, it's Spinjitzu! You're great at it!" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“Mmhm, it might be from that- I think I remember Zane’s Spinjitzu turning pink when his suit got dyed pink, so I think outfits can influence the color.” Celena chuckled. “I could do my best to teach you, I’m not the best teacher, but- I can try!” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

"Oh, yeah!" Photos! But these were mega old ones. "Man, I still can't believe that you trained with the Ninja! Like, trained with them!" "Oh, that's totally alright!" Connie chirped, patting her hands together with eagerness. She was gonna learn Spinjitzu- Celena was gonna fricjin' teach her Spinjitzu. Man, she was cool! "I don't mind! "Ooo, cool!" Connie giggled, shuffling eagerly in place. Boots. Should get those on. "You'll do great, promises!" she reassured, quickly jamming her feet into her shoes. "It looks really fun- not to mention it's super cool- ooh, and pretty- your tornado was so frickin' pretty!" Laces? Sloppy. She was kind of wondering what it would look like- that is, if it could even form. Not that she doubted Celena! Just. Ehhh. "I, uh, haven't had to most...practice with fighting," Connie admitted after a moment, fiddling with her hair sheepishly. "Uh, I can do tricks 'n stuff! But, uh, 'm'not really good at the whole fighting, thing. I can run! But I can't really punch...hard. Or kick hard." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“Thanks, I’m sure yours is gonna look pretty, too!!” Celena smiled brightly. “That’s okay, if you can just copy the moves, you should be alright, I think. I’ve even seen the ninja incorporate dance moves into it, so as long as you get the form down, you should be able to add your own twist to it.” Celena got into a stance. “The first thing we do is get into a comfy stance. There’s four main components of Spinjitzu: Jumping up, kicking back, whipping around, and spinning.” Celena did the moves slowly for Connie to see. A little jump, a little kick back, a whip around, and a spin. “These are the main four moves. You do this with other attacks, keep a rhythm and flow going based on your powers and what’s most comfortable for you, and it’ll happen.” Celena displayed several strikes that she incorporated into the main four moves. Each movement shifted easily into each other. It was clear that she had done this for quite a long time. Celena remained light on her feet and moved fluidly. Wooooo. @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Connie shifted into the stance that Celena displayed, listening intently to every instruction she provided. Though, as kids usually are, she was distracted easily by Celena's fancy little moves, and clapped politely for her as she moved around nimbly. "Oh, okay, okay, okay! So, like- I can use my powers, and- punches- stuff, but I just gotta keep the main four in mind?" she asked, kicking a little at the air. Ow. Leggy. "Wait, wait, jump up, then kick. Connie hummed Celena's little tune a few times, slowly doing the basics of each move as she tried to get the song stuck in her head. It didn't seem too complicated, just a little bit...difficult to do them all with enough force? Strength? Power. Heck, she was fifteen- the only amount of training she got was, like, climbing trees, and stuff! But she really, really wanted to learn. And if that would mean she had to eat sand a bunch, then she was gonna frickin' eat sand. And fall a bunch. "Alright, wait- uh- like this?" Connie tried to chain all four moves together, a little faster than before- only to stumble-skip to a halt as she tried to whip around. Not verrry good. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"Kinda! Here, what if-" Celena paused for a few moments as she thought deeply to herself, trying desperately to recall how Jay's Spinjitzu appeared to be. His motions were always quick, a bit more erratic and jerk-ier in movements. His body captured the movements of a single bolt of lightning. "What if you try these types of movements?" Celena suggested as she began to do a different series of moves. It was significantly different than the style she had performed earlier. "Jay did it kind of like this." @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Connie adapted prettty quickly to the newer moves Celena suggested- which were pretty quick and snappy and much more like she was used to. She did stumble a little while doing them though, but it wasn't as bad of a stumble as before. "It's really fast!" Connie said after a moment, hands pressed against her knees as she tried to steady her breathing. "Haah- I guess it makes sense, though- hff. He's suuuper fast with everything!" They were pretty different than before, but it felt pretty natural to her! Natural, besides the entire, whipping around part. Oh, and the spinning part. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"Yeah, it's pretty fast," Celena chuckled. "You're doing really great, though!! Spinjitzu's not easy, but you're doing a good job of repeating the moves!" @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

"Hehe- thank you! Fast is good, though! I like th'faster moves- I think I'll get used to these new ones a liiittle more than the ones before, actually!" She was tying up her hair again, carefully patting the ponytail into place as she shifted back into the stance from earlier. "I never asked what you do now," she said in between repeating the moves again, adding in a little bit of pizzaz to her kick. Hehe. "Y'know, after all the Ninja stuff! You're eighteen now, and yeah- you were thirteen- be- before-" Connie bit down on her tongue- frickin' hard, as she pretty frickin' smoothly cycled through the four movements twice- she wasn't as light as Celena was on her feet- definitely a lot heavier, stompy-stomp- but dang! She had stopped talking entirely, trying to go through all the movements at least one cycle more. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"There you go, Connie!" Celena cheered her on and gave a little 'clap clap' of her hands. She completely ignored her question with how excited she was. "You're doing really great now!" @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

"I think I-" It was at that moment that Connie slipped, halfway into the third cycle and immediately Ate Shit. She fell face-first into the frickin' stone ground with a loud, audible kwathunk. Maybe she should have stopped talking more. Connie is at 21 HP @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Celena's light was immediately over Connie. Connie would begin to feel a soothing warmth above her body. Quickly, the pain became numb, and soon, it was non-existent. Any damage was no longer there. "You good?" Celena asked with a wince. That was a big fall, ow. "I've had my fair share of falls while trying to learn it, but- You okay?" @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Without moving, Connie lifted a little, wobbly thumbs-up from the stone. Pushing herself to her feet with a little grunt, she rubbed her face a little, pleasantly surprised that the pain had just. Gone. "I'm good!" she chirped, back to her normal, peppy self again. "Bah, I've fallen from much worse! Was that your powers just then? 'Cause that was suuuper warm, and tingly, and really just sick!" She shook her limbs vigorously- without an ounce of pain in return. "That was awesome!" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"Yeah, that was me," Celena chuckled as she let her light disappear. "That was a pretty nasty fall, I just wanted to make sure you'd be alright." @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

"Aw! Aw, that was nice! But I'm alright, I promise! I've fallen outta trees and of'a mountains before- a little face-plant into the ground couldn't take me down, even if it tried!" she cheerily reassured, brushing off the sand and grit from her pants and knees. "What did I mess up on?" Connie asked, shaking her head a little as sand fell. "I think it might have been the whipping around part? Maybe." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“It looks like it might be that, here, let me show you again..” For a good while, Celena trained Connie on how to do Spinjitzu. With every fall, the other girl always got back up. Improvement was being made with every attempt. Then, as they were starting to wrap it up.. It happened. @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

It was tiring, exhausting, and every other word in between. There have been countless times when she tripped and stumbled and faltered, but Celena's encouragement always continued to urge her on despite the failures. As they were nearing the end of the training sesh- they couldn't go on forever, it felt like hours, or even days already! -Connie decided to have at least one more go at it. She could pick up training after she managed to get some rest. And food. Yum, food. Maybe Celena would like fish, too? Connie bounced on the balls of her feet for a moment or so, shaking the sand and grit off her hands as she began the cycle of the same four movements. Nice and fun and sharp, quick and snappy, easy on the fall. Something was building in the air- the crackle of static familiar and distant at once. "Jump up, kick back, whip around, and spin-" One moment, the training room around her was there. Celena was there. And in the tenth of a second, it had whirled away before her eyes; dark grey stone and purple disappeared away in a blur of yellow, yellow, yellow, this little yellow tornado of crackling lightning, dancing and whirling away around her as she performed Spinjitzu- The horns as the sky keels in on itself, thunder in the air and around her as she falls, as the waves bow at the touch of lightning. Connie crowed loudly with laughter, feeling the electricity dance along her fingertips as she continued through the cycle again and again. Her chest felt like it was gonna frickin' burst! @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Celena lit up with a bright smile. She hopped to her feet and clapped her hands loudly. “There you go, Connie!!” Celena cheered. “You’re doing it- Look at you!!! You’re doing it!” @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Gracefully- not really graceful, but on both feet- Connie spun to a slow stop, arms flailing as she wobbled in place to keep her balance. She looked like a newborn deer, wobbly legs and hair sticking every which direction. She blinked the crackling yellow out of her eyes, a little stunned by that sudden adrenaline-rush of an experience, and that old memory of another experience as well. After Rakin had left, Isabelle folded the coat and left it with the pants. She took a deep breath, walking to the nearest punching bag before hitting it as hard as she could. If it was near a wall, it would have easily cleared the distance to hit it. She let out a few more before sighing. It took a while for her to calm down. When she did, she grabbed the clothing and ran out, looking for the nearest bathroom.
