The amount of people who were in the dining hall was overwhelming, to say the least. Kian saw a lot of familiar faces--Sovran, Celena, Nora, Connie... Even Minerva! Minerva... Kian looked up at the person holding her. He was so used to seeing Jymaiyri, seeing Yeonaixho instead almost made Kian drop Cansu. His eyes widened a bit as he saw the dead man walking, but it also twisted his heart to know he was alone. Jymaiyri was gone... Slowly, Kian approached the man and baby, holding Cansu close like his own child. "Uhm.. E-Excuse me? You're Mr. Yeonaixho, right?" Minerva was staring right back at Cansu. She's never seen a chicken before and he looks soft touch. Yeonaixho didn't recognize Kian's voice, and startled a bit as he approached. "Oh, uh, yeah, that's me. You can just call me Yeonaixho, if you'd like. You are...?" @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Kian's fingers curled around the fabric of his cape, doing his best to not squeeze Cansu again. "Uhm.. W-We haven't met before. I'm Kian. I uhm.. I sort of helped babysit Minerva with Miss Jymaiyri before. A-And I'm friends with Celena. Celena and Miss Jymaiyri talked a lot about you a-and I thought I would like to meet you," Kian replied with an awkward smile. "S-Sorry it's uhm.. at such a random time. "Oh, nice to meet you, Kian. I think Jymaiyri and Sovran told me about you..." he hummed. "So I'm glad we're getting the chance to meet, I guess. Thanks for helping look after little Minnie, she can be a bit of a handful." He laughed. "We're doing alright. As alright as we can be. I'm worried about her, with the fight coming up, but since I'm a healer she shouldn't be put in too much danger." @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Kian's smile became a bit more genuine, but he still felt on edge as he spoke to Yeonaixho. He didn't know why. Perhaps it was his aunt's words still lingering in his mind. Doing his best to push those thoughts away, Kian softly chuckled and shook his head. "O-Oh, no. Little Minerva is a dear. Aren't you?" Kian smiled at the baby before looking back at Yeonaixho. "R-Right.. A baby is not safe to have during a fight. Hm.. Perhaps s-someone can stay behind to watch her? I'm.. not quite sure who though," the boy hummed. This situation felt a little similar to the one he found himself in when he was with Jymaiyri when Yeonaixho had died. Now, it was the opposite of the pair. It wouldn't be a good time to really talk about Jymaiyri, would it? "..uhm.. Y-You said Miss Jymaiyri and Mr. Sovran spoke about me to you? Are you guys friends with Mr. Sovran? Minerva smiled at Kian, then refocused to watching Cansu. "Mhm.... I don't know who I'd ask, who'd be both trustworthy enough to watch her and who isn't needed for the attack. Ideally, I'd watch her myself, but... I'm one of the better healers we have, and they need me." "Oh, yeah! Sovran and I are pretty close." Yeonaixho smiled warmly. "You know, that's not a half-bad idea. We'd have to work through some logistics of it, but it's at least worth considering. Kian raised a brow at that. Close? Yeonaixho and Mr. Sovran? The boy blinked a couple of times and took a couple of seconds to think about that. "Y-Yeah.. I know Mr. Sovran has a remnant of one of my mothers, a-and she took care of me and my sisters, so s-she should be able to take care of little Minerva just fine, for example," Kian replied. Kian, being the oblivious kid he was, blindly took Yeonaixho's reply at face value. He didn't see a reason why Sovran and Yeonaixho weren't just pals. Good buddies. Chums. "Mhm.. he did. I-I never knew him though, because they kept their visits a bit more private and I was t-too young to really know," Kian explained with a small shrug. "I'm glad Mr. Sovran has a good friend though. "Hmm... that makes sense." Yeonaixho hummed. He laughed as Kian went on. "Awh, I think having friends is good for everyone, but I'm glad you think so highly of me. He's a very good person, himself. Kian noticed the subtle shift in Yeonaixho's voice. He looked up at the older man and continued the conversation in a different direction. "T-That sounds like Mr. Sovran, mhm. He's helped me a-a lot too. Like, a lot. He... H-He called me 'son' before, a-and.." Kian paused in the middle of his ramble, smiling warmly at the ground. "A-And that made me really happy. So, I'm relieved to hear he's also got people there t-to support him too. I think Mr. Sovran is the type of person to try and do everything himself.. "He did? That's very kind. I'm glad you two are able to have that kind of relationship." Yeonaixho smiled, and worked Kian into the image of family he held in his mind. He laughed lightly. Little did Yeonaixho know, there was already a world where they were distantly family. "I-I'm glad too.. I.. I don't have a dad, but I grew up with two moms s-so.. This is a little different. It's.. nice, though," Kian nodded. "And thank you, Mr. Yeonaixho. If Mr. Sovran is friends with you.. t-then I'm sure you'll keep to your promise." Yeonaixho could tell something had happened to Kian's first family, but he knew better than to press it. "I'm glad you can find that sort of fatherly love in Sovran. It does sound very nice." "Mhm.. It makes me feel a-all like, fluttery a-and happy? It's so strange.. I didn't think I would find something like that here but.. Y-Yeah, I'm very happy," Kian softly chuckled, a little embarrassed he was rambling to Yeonaixho. "I trust Mr. Sovran's judgement. "I don't think it's that strange at all- it's understandable you'd be happy to find someone you care about, who cares so deeply about you. And Sovran will take good care of you- I now it "Mhm... Kian felt a bit sheepish at Yeonaixho's reassurance. He hoped it would be true. Mr. Sovran would always take good care of him. The fact Sovran took his poison was proof of that. "T-Thank you, Mr. Yeonaixho. Mr. Sovran is sure to be a good friend to you too. S-So.." He shyly smiled and nodded. "So, t-thank you, again. Uhm.. I appreciate the extension to me as well. "I'm sure he will be. He's already been so good to me..." Yeonaixho smiled. He spoke of Sovran with a look in his pale eyes that many didn't use for just friends. "Of course! If Sovran considers you family, that means you're welcome too. And besides- I think it'd be good for Nora and Celena to have more kids their age around." @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

For just a moment, the pure joy of being included in a family again overrode the fact Yeonaixho was including Kian into his family on the basis of being Sovran's son. That warm naïve feeling was soon replaced with a somewhat confused one when he saw Yeonaixho's expression change. Of course, the prospect of getting to be close to Nora and Celena was nice as well, but he knew full well they were Yeonaixho's daughters. The only way Kian would be integrated into their family was if Sovran was also somehow in it. Hm. "Y-Yeah, I look forward to it. Celena and I.. Even though Kian was starting to feel like this Yeonaixho was at least better than the one in his world, Kian still was on edge about him a little. He smiled and shook his head in return. "T-Thank you, Mr. Yeonaixho, but I think this is something only Celena and I would really understand.. I appreciate your words a-and offer, though." Kian softly chuckled as he looked back down at Minerva. "Oh, I would love to a-anytime. She really liked the music and puppet show I did for her," he smiled. "I'm the baby in my own family, s-so it's nice to be the older one for once," he lightly joked.

"Awh.. you are just the cutest, little Minerva," Kian cooed. He would of gave her a little boop on the nose if he wasn't also holding Cansu. Curse of only having one hand—you cannot boop the baby and hold your brother God at the same time. "Mhm.. I-I had three older ones. "Hehe.. y-yeah. I s-sometime wonder how I managed to end up with them, but they were the best thing i-in my life. I miss them a lot.. b-but maybe with Mr. Sovran and everyone else... I-I can have something like that again," Kian smiled sheepishly. "Aw, that sounds sweet. I'm sure they were as lucky to have you as you were to have them." Yeonaixho offered a smile. "I really hope you can- I don't think Sovran will let you down. Kian laughed along with Yeonaixho, nodding his head in agreement. "Mhm.. I agree. I think h-he's a really good dad," he replied with a soft expression as he looked down at the baby in his arms. "I-I'll make sure to take care of little Minerva too. I miss having sisters.. C-Celena told me she and Nora are like sisters.. and that you're their dad. S-So.. Kian rocked on his feet a little in excitement. "Yeah, I-I guess I do, hehe! I'll make sure I'm the best brother around!" Kian nodded with full sincerity. "Uhm.. "Hmm, w-well, I'm holding my pet chicken right now, and I don't think little Minerva seems to be having any sort of reaction yet," Kian commented as he held up his bundled Cansu closer to Minerva. Kian smiled a bit, before awkwardly chuckling. "O-Oh, I'm sorry, Mr. Yeonaixho, I forgot to mention, but m-my animals can actually talk. This is Cansu, my baby chick. He giggled a bit as he saw Cansu and Minerva interact. Kian continued to giggle as he watched the two small beings interact with one another. They were so completely adorable, it was hard not to. "You two are so cuuutee," he cooed. "Oh..
