Nathan is here with two totems, half of a clay leg, and a pocket full of croutons. "What- huh? Huh? Wait, what the hell is this?!" Nathan exclaimed, something distant crackling in their throat. "Sovran???"

Connie is here with one totem, and two pockets full of croutons! She was standing there, absolutely petrified, as she stared at the arena with wide eyes. "S-sovran...?"

Ko is here, holding her sword as she waits.

Nora was doing her best to keep her breathing even, just like Sovran told her to- every time she felt safe and happy something awful happened, every single time- …her breathing was quickly becoming more panicked.

Zora squeezed Nora's hand tightly to reassure her that she wasn't alone, that she was here. The girl couldn't keep herself from shaking, though, and it surely would've been felt by her sister. Her mouth opened as she wanted to speak to her to soothe her, but not a word left her mouth. She shut her mouth and leaned against Nora. "I-I'm here f-for you, Nora.." Nora took a sharp breath and leaned into Zora, squeezing her hand again. ”…..I-I’m h-here.. ‘m not.. won’t l-leave you.” @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

This wasn't fair. "A-aldreda," Connie breathed, catching sight of the woman standing by the glass. She made her way over with slow, halting steps, clutching Moses' totem and a thin, golden mask to her chest. "Aldreda-" Sovran and Kian- they couldn't- Rakin couldn't- why now? Why now? Sovran and Kian- they were so close. "We- we gotta- we gotta do it now," she weakly mumbled, pulling on Aldreda's shirt. It didn't do much. "We- we gotta. We have to stop this, we, we can't let this happen, Aldreda." This wasn't fair. (edited)

Aldreda had been hyper focused on watching the fight, trying to analyze every single detail, that she failed to notice Connie at first. Not until she pulled on her shirt. She snapped out of her revolutionary gaze to look down at the child. Oh, she had gone through so much... There was always a reason she hadn't wanted kids involved in these kinds of affairs. She had been in Connie's shoes before... And the only thing that got her through it were her friends. She quickly squatted down and wrapped her arms around Connie's shoulders, resting her head on her shoulder. "I-it'll be- it'll all be alright, Connie.." Aldreda soothed. "U-unless we can teleport down there, I don't think there's anything to do at the moment.. I-if we break out of this glass, we'll.. Suffocate. Tears had filled Zora's eyes at the sight of the home. They were a family. This is what he had always wanted, a family, to have a home full of life and love and warmth. "I-I-" Zora cut herself off when she felt a sob about to rise. She took trembling, deep breaths as she tried to relax. "I d-don't want to watch this, I-.. Th-this is what he's always wanted, N-Nora- He's always wanted a family.. And th-they're- Sh-showing him an illusion of it, I-.." Tears rolled down her cheeks. Dad. Dad. Dad. That was her voice, but not hers. It felt so natural, so familiar, it felt so right. "Please," Connie softly whimpered, sinking into Aldreda's hug. She pressed her face into Aldreda's shoulder, her voice all tight and strained. "Please, we gotta help them. W-we gotta do something, we can't let this happen. We can't let Rakin win." This wasn't fair. He wanted a family. He wanted a family so bad. They had to do something, something, they couldn't just sit around and- and wait. Sovran wanted a kid, he wanted to go fishing with her, they caught fish together and cooked it and sat under the shade and were happy together, he wanted a family, he wanted to be her dad, he wanted so many things so badly, and she wanted to do nothing more but just hug him right now. The tears gradually evaporated off of her as Connie cried. "Shh, shh, everything will be alright.." Aldreda whispered. "Raina will be here. It's been an hour or so, he promised he'd be here. He can get us out of here and save those two, too.." She patted the back of Connie's head and sat down with her so she didn't have to keep squatting. "We gotta be smart and wait until the right moment. If we go now, we will all die. Connie heard Bridge's voice on the speakers, but she didn't react. Not to Bridge's voice, nor Aldreda's words of comfort. Raina was coming. Raina was coming. After a moment, she peeled her face away from Aldreda's shoulder, watching the screens in silent horror. Her grip was still as tight as it was before, and the mask made with Sovran's powers seemed to burn her as she held it. "i hope he comes soon," she mumbled, and that was all. Zora whimpered as the scene shifted. Oh, god, oh god, it was going to happen, they were going to fight now- The totem was visible- Oh god- "U-uhm-" Zora shifted in her seat anxiously. Her heart was beginning to race in her chest, and she was trembling even more now. Homegirl was suffering. "C-can- Can we h-have a nice, soft wall color? Nice paint? Nora forced her eyes down towards their hands. Her free hand moved to the sleeve of Zora’s cardigan, rubbing the fabric lightly to try and soothe herself and her sister. ”mm.. sssoft color, um… what k-kinda color? L-like blue or.. or pink..?” @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"U-uhm- I like yellow- It's a h-happy color, so- M-maybe a soft yellow?" Zora suggested. "M-maybe we can- Do the room half and half, so half of it is yellow, and then- Half of it is a color that you might want.. Wh-what color would you like..?" @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

"Me too-" Aldreda was cut off by Kian's scream, and she set the totem down so she could hold her hands over Connie's ears. She couldn't think of anything else comforting to say, this all... Did feel awful. Waiting in the dark for some random savior to show up? It wasn't her style, but what else could be done here? She began to hum softly instead, something low enough that Connie would be able to feel rather than hear. It was some kind of melody the teen would not be familiar with. @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Nora moved her hand and made the same soft yellow string that bunny was made of. ”mm.. I- I like red, but, um… I- I dunno if.. if I want a rred room.. mm… I- I like yellow t-too..” She looped the string around her fingers, trying not to look at the arena. She flinched as Kian screamed, her wide eyes flickering up to see Kian changed. ”wh… what did th-they do t- to- to him??” @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"M-maybe we can- Do a soft red? A s-soft red and yellow- It could be like strawberries and mangoes-" Zora was cut off by the sounds of Kian's screams. She squeezed Nora's hand tightly. "H-he's older now," Zora looked on in horror. "Th-they- He's older.. H-how-?" @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

"SOVRAN!" Connie screamed, breaking free of Aldreda's hold. She threw herself at the glass, eyes wide with frantic, wild terror. "Sovran, please, please!" They had to go home together- they still had to fish some more, Connie wanted to show him her spinjitzu, she wanted to show him to her family, her dama, her auntie- "W-we- hang on, just hold on, please! R-raina's coming, Sovran, don't do this! Please!" Sovran couldn't die, he couldn't die, he couldn't die, he couldn't die, they still had so much to do together- Tiny fists pounded against the glass to no avail, and she sobbed, desperately. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Zora flinched as Connie yelled. The girl was entirely vocalizing her thoughts, screaming out exactly what was in her mind. She didn't want Sovran to give up- She wanted him to fight, she wanted him to live- She didn't want to see him die. There was still so much she wanted to do with him now that he was back in her life, and- Her tears started to fall once more. She gave Nora's hand a squeeze. "B-bunk beds," Zora whispered in response to Nora. @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

Aldreda let Connie break away from the embrace, but she still couldn't think of anything to say. Nothing she could think up was helpful. She'd had years to think up the Avis revolution- she knew every. single detail about the inner workings of Avis before anything happened. But here..? Here, she had no clue. She took in a deep breath and stood up, walking to the glass with Connie. She put her hand up toward the glass as well and let it heat. It warped and glowed red, but it didn't melt like glass. ".. Connie this- this isn't glass- it's crystal." Aldreda said and took her hand away, shaking off some of the pieces that had stuck to her hand. "With your totem could you- could you do something?" @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

"S-Sovran!" Yeonaixho openly cried out, clutching his infant to his chest (and Cansu along with her). "Sovran- he can't die- he can't leave me- Sovran-" Minerva clearly wasn't happy with this turn of events- though she couldn't tell what was happening, everyone around her was upset, which made her upset too. She squeezed Cansu with her tiny hands, and looked like she might burst into tears. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Connie was wheezing terribly, trying to fuckigfn breathe between her sobs. What was happening? What was Kian saying? Why was he being so mean? Was it working? Was Sovran giving up? She wanted him to give up- Not like that- she wanted him to win. Was she selfish? She wanted him to win. She wanted Sovran back so badly. When was Raina getting here? She didn't want Sovran to die. "Whhfg.w,,wh.wh," she bleated out, trying to look up at Aldreda. She blinked the still flowing tears out of her eyes, her voice rattling slightly as she spoke, "Whfg. Crrystal? Nora took another deep breath, and moved Bunny to wipe away her sister’s tears. “Um… I- I don’t know, um.. I- I think… b-being up sounds kinda sscary- um.. I- I don’t wanna fffall..” @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"Yeah, this doesn't melt like glass, it's made out of crystal.. Could you manipulate it to move us d-down to the arena so we can step in? Or- or if you can create more crystal, I can melt it and morph it in to a pathway- it might be our chance out." @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

"Th-thank you, B-Bunbun," Zora whimpered. She gave her bunny a hug as she tried to focus on what was occurring. "I-I can be on th-the top bunk, then- A-and then- I'm n-not too fond of the dark, so- If either of u-us gets scared, I can easily use my light to light up the room fr-from the top, a-and we'll be s-safe and cozy.." @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

"Wh- www.wait. Waityou." Connie sucked in a rattly, awful breath of air, trying to stifle her cough as best she could. "W-you said Wwe'd suffocate. "The pathway is- more risky if I ever knock a hole in it.. But if we can move the whole thing in one piece we'd- we'd be able to reach them." Aldreda slapped her hands together, satisfied by this scheme. However, that was when Kian and Sovran finally began to really fight. "S-shi.t. Sgh. Um. Uh-" Connie's frantic breathing started to pick up even more as Kian began to scream, eyes lighting up in panic again. Sovran was hurting Kian- did he mean to? He was stepping away again- did he mean to? She slipped the mask Sovran had made into her overalls pocket, and fumbled with the totem in shaking, quivering hands. They had to get down there- they needed to get down there, they were both gonna kill each other whether they wanted to or not. "P-please," she wheezed, holding the totem as tight as she could. She pressed her forehead to the smooth, crystal half of the orb, eyes scrunched shut tightly. "Please, please, please." She didn't want her friends to die. Her tears continued to roll down her cheeks as she watched Sovran back off from Kian. Her heart pounded in her chest. All Zora wanted to do was curl up into a ball and go silent, just not process a single thing that was occurring. "Gl-glow in the d-dark stars," Zora whispered. "Y-yeah, we c-can- We can d-do it- Th-then the dark w-will never be s-so d-dark because we'll h-have light, al-always.." @Sauce | Nora🧶+Lykos🐺

"Isn't that how this is set up? Where there's one loser and one victor?" If Cansu could raise an eyebrow, he would've. "I don't see a scenario occurring where both of them can walk out of this victorious." Cansu's feathers grew ruffled at the sight of Kian getting hurt. If the bastard won this fight, Cansu would personally see to it that Sovran would die. It had been quite some time since he had tasted human flesh. He wouldn't mind consuming him. @innsjo | juno🌻/jymaiyri🌿/minnie🌺

"Good, good job, Connie! Say all the swear words you want, you deserve! Bust em out-" Aldreda cheered as the glass cube began to ever so slightly drift toward the arena. "Keep it up, keep it up!" However, they wouldn't get to move more than a few feet before it abruptly stopped.

Lightning shot through the crystal, which conducted electricity much better than glass ever did, and shocked everyone in the room.

Nathan's yelp of surprise crackled as the lightning shot through them, teeth snapping shut with a visceral sort of 'clack'. They wheezed, clutching at their chest as the rest of that shock left their system. Third death? Third life? Third life? Death? Today? Again? Zora let out a cry of pain when the lightning coursed through her body. She shook harshly as it quickly passed, leaving her a shaking mess. Zora let out a cry of pain when the lightning coursed through her body. She shook harshly as it quickly passed, leaving her a shaking mess. (Taylor is at 18hp) Taylor forgot what it was like to feel pain. Not just pain his soul could remember, but a memory so strong that it felt like he was dying all over again. If he was flesh and blood he wondered if his blood would be boiling in his veins as his artifical muscles would snap like the frail threads they were made put of. If he had a real heart would it of burst like a balloon? The strength was enough to reach his core. If one was listening close enough, you might here the slightest sizzling inside his chest. Taylor grasped the burnt part of his chest where lightning struck him directly where his heart would be. He thinks. He can't remember the anatomy lesson his uncle would teach him when the smell of burnt leather filled the air. He collapsed on one knee as he tried to catch his breath. Poppy hurried beside him, luckily unharmed. The way her body trembled... [He remembers again.]

As the light blanketed her, Aldreda's ashes began to reform in to a person again.. In a few swirling seconds she was back, shaking out her limbs and some spare soot from her hair. "Damn it! Damn it alll!" Aldreda cursed and kicked the glass... @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Nathan is quietly wheezing in the corner. Zora's healing did the trick alright, but damn. Their totem was still at their side. Jymaiyri, on the other side. They had to get their powers back. They needed that extra defense.

Nathan, amidst the chaos and yelling and crying and general hell, was picking at his totem like a damn Rubix Cube in some attempt to get his powers back...however it was. But the damn stone wouldn't get out of the totem. "Come on," he hissed, sinking his fucking teeth into the rock. Stupid, stubborn, fuglyass rock. "GRRT. OURT." Crack. (((.Was that his tooth.))) Nathan immediately started unbiting and pulled away, slightly visibly disturbed at the dent he made in the rock. The rock. The rock. Why did his tooth taste like vegan chocolate. And...why did he feel stronger. Nathan, tucked away in the corner, began to chew off bits of the...powered-up rock, like some deranged Oni who just discovered rock candy for the first time. (To be honest, he was more upset that it was...actually kinda working.)

Zora had been a shaking, hyperventilating mess as the fight progressed. The girl had sobbed, begging for Sovran to somehow win. When he fell, something.. In her snapped. It was as if a tether had too much force tugging it from both ends and broke. In a mere second, she stopped crying. Her expression grew blank as she dropped down to her knees, pressing her palms against the floor. Her tears continued to fall, but she- Couldn’t quite feel it. She couldn’t quite feel anything. It was as though the past few events had taken everything out of her, from her, and ultimately left her with nothing. It was too much, too much for her to handle, so her body simply shut down. Her emotions were switched off as her racing mind began to slow down. All Zora could do was stay there on the ground, stiff and cold and empty. Losing Nathan, nearly dying, losing Yeonaixho, nearly losing Nora, losing Jymaiyri, losing Sovran- It was all too much. Too much. Too much, so now, there was nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Kiran, being near the back wall, hardly bounced back before the wall would've smacked them in the face. "GAH! The [geeurgg] now??" They backed off, looking around and crouched on the middle benches, tail whipping. (sorry anyone standing near them aha-)

"Well, it appears as though the circular arena floor has given away, leaving Kian on a small piece with a force field around himself. There's a multi-color boulder that has taken up a tremendous amount of space, and there's three individuals who are standing in front of it. Your hosts, I believe." Cansu glanced around the stands. Had it not been for the fact that Mallon was sitting hunched up in the corner of, to them what was presumably the stands the entire time, they would have been entirely unaware of anything happening save for the shouts and cries stinging their ears. Then the wall moves behind them, and like a startled cat they lurch to their feet abruptly. “What is—“ Electricity rattles their bones and they almost bite their tongue as they flinch back, entirely lost. ———————————- Kenji, on the other hand, can see exactly what is happening. Not that it helps, in any way, shape, or form. His head is pounding, Amara’s consciousness drowning out the words echoing over the speakers and flooding over the edges of his mind. It hurts, and distantly it dawns on him that she’s trying to separate herself. It doesn’t appear to be working. Rot swirls at his feet—his body frozen in place—with nothing to consume. Another surge of electricity comes, and he braces himself against it, but something is off. He’s not able to think coherently much more than that. (edited)
