Sovran made his way from the family to glance around for a different family member. It took him a short while on shaky legs to find Kian, but once he did, he smiled. He was glad to see the kid- Young man? Nah, he’d always be kid to him - relatively unharmed and in good shape. “Kian?” Sovran called out as he approached. “Kid? Kian had followed Agustin like a lost lamb, but he had only made it a couple steps until another voice stopped him. It was enough to make Kian's heart drop to his stomach. He didn't turn around, but he did stop to listen. "...I'm fine," Kian quietly replied. It was a lie, but thankfully, Kian's voice didn't quiver. "You should head back home now. Kian's hands clenched and the frown he was trying to hold back turned into a glare. Finally, he turned to face Sovran. "And why would we do any of that together anymore?" He asked, the strain in his voice betraying the look of anger on his face. "Don't you get it? I killed you out there. I–We—You need to go back home, Mr. Sovran. “That wasn’t any of your fault,” Sovran reassured. “It’s Rakin, and that other sicko who was with him, it’s their fault that happened. You were put into a rough situation, and I’m part of the blame in that. I didn’t make it any easier on you. "Stop that." Kian's knuckles became white as he squeezed them. "Please, stop doing that—Stop trying to apologize for things that aren't your fault." Kian's glare fell to the dirt between them and he sighed. "..That thing that we saw during our fight. The house and the people... call it pathetic, but for the briefest of moments, I thought just maybe, it was something I could let myself have again." "Please don't call me that," Kian's strained voice pleaded. "I'm not—You're not–" Suddenly, blue and purple roses bloomed in Kian's hair, and he gripped onto one in an attempt to rip it out. It wouldn't budge. Frustrated tears started to bubble in the corner of his eyes as he continued to look away from Sovran. "Please just stop... I can't look any of you in the eyes anymore after everything. You, Miss Jymaiyri, Mr. Yeonaixho.. h-how am I supposed to talk to Celena a-and Connie after this? Or Nora o-or even Minerva? I can't," Kian quivered. The guilt, but most importantly, the fear, of being accepted despite everything made Kian's stomach turn. "It doesn't matter if it's not my fault. I don't deserve a spot in your home and I don't want you to want me there. I told you before—My family is gone. Far, far, away, a-and trying to replace them isn't going to make me complete.
