... Celena would awake in a strange room- four gray stone walls surrounded her, and a stone floor, with a clear glass ceiling showing various stars and galaxies above. It would be almost beautiful, if not for the circumstances. The room itself was mostly featureless, just the four walls with no decor... And seemingly no exit?? Celena sat along the wall of the room, a migraine fading from their head as she woke up. The tingling was gone, and she had full control over her body. One of their hands was loosely chained up to the stone wall behind her. There was a man in the room. With black hair and green highlights- shaved on one side with an intricate pattern. Their eyes were dark voids, besides one pinprick of white, glowing light. He wore a flowing open robe, green pants, and green dress shoes. His body was riddled with red scars-.. Burns, maybe? His right arm was bandaged up and shaking terribly, along with his left shoulder. His entire gray outfit was stained with blood. As Celena stirred, he looked over with a blank expression. He held his shaking right hand out toward Celena's head as he walked toward her. "Hoyseksagu." He said. His voice sounded like the final voice that was chanting in their head before she vanished. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“Who are you?” Celena demanded. She eyed the extended hand warily before she scooted away as much as the chains allowed her. “Where am I?” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Rakin went up to Celena and placed his hand on her head. A bolt of electricity went through her head, lingering there for a bit before fading away. Rakin stepped back as it did, crossing his arms behind his back. "You should repeat what you said now that we can understand each other." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

The sensation hurt, and she couldn't help but wince at the pain. Eyeing the injuries, Celena noted that she perhaps wasn't the only one who had been captured and brought to this place. "I asked who you were and where I was," Celena spoke somewhat slowly, unsure on how comfortable and at ease she should be. "What's going on?" @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"I am Nok Rakin, some call me the Caller of the Abyss, but just Rakin is fine. You are deep in space, far from your home planet, in The Maze. You have been invited here to participate in a tournament." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Celena frowned as she processed those words. Space? Of all places, space? “.. This is- Different from how I imagined further on from our solar system to be like. I’ve only ever traveled so far to guess,” Celena spoke quietly. She glanced around the room. “.. What kind of invitation? A tournament, you say..? "What were you imagining..?" Rakin asked. "And yes, mostly for elemental masters. There are some exceptions, but mostly, yes." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"There will be one on one fights occurring once a bracket is decided, and in the meantime, you will get to explore one of two sides you are placed on. Unfortunately, now that you are here, you have no choice but to participate." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Celena raised an eyebrow. “And what if I refuse to fight? What comes of it, then?” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Celena gave a deep sigh. This definitely wasn't something she was interested in, but she wasn't interested in being ejected into space. She'd just be floating out there, and for how long? That wasn't something she wanted to endure, not again. "And what do we get out of this?" She asked. "The wonderful gift of surviving, or is there something more to this?" @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Currently, survival is not on the table. My master thinks that the winner getting to play a hands on role in the resurrection process is prize enough, but I have been trying to convince them that getting to leave alive would be a much better reward." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Celena frowned. “Just what is the resurrection process? Who’s or what’s being brought back to life?” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"We are bringing back the Pilarians, and I cannot describe the process to you, lest you find a way to stop it." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“Okay, if you can’t describe the process to me, then can I hear of what the Pilarians are?” Celena asked, genuinely curious. Something she wasn’t familiar with. This was new. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"The Pilarians were an all knowing and hyper intelligent species that was wiped out about six years ago by the Galleons and the traitorous Frogling King. My master, Alrai Pin, has the means to bring them back with the right resources." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

These were all new terms and names she wasn’t familiar with. It was all somewhat exciting, exhilarating, but exhausting all the same. “What will happen if or when the Pilarians are brought back?” Celena asked. “What is the benefit to their existence?” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽 (edited)

“I don’t know,” Celena genuinely admitted. Her gaze lowered to the floor. “I attempted to do the same thing once, adjust the world to fit the way I wanted it to be, and it didn’t- Go well. It didn’t end up the way I wanted it to go. In doing so, I ruined things and worsened a terrible situation.” Celena took in a deep breath. “I don’t know what to think.
