... Julien would awake in a strange room- four gray stone walls surrounded him, and a stone floor, with a clear glass ceiling showing various stars and galaxies above. It would be almost beautiful, if not for the circumstances. The room itself was mostly featureless, just the four walls with no decor... And seemingly no exit?? Julien was pressed up against the stone wall, chains holding up his body high enough that he could barely stand on his feet. His wrists were aching from the weight that had been placed on them for who knows how long. There was a man at his side, working on the stitches the vampire didn't have time to finish. He had black hair and green highlights- shaved on one side with an intricate pattern. Their eyes were dark voids, besides one pinprick of white, glowing light. He wore a flowing open robe, green pants, and green dress shoes. His body was riddled with red scars-.. Burns, maybe? His right hand was shaking enough to make the stitching process hurt much more than it would have otherwise. His entire gray outfit was stained with blood. As Julien stirred, he didn't acknowledge him and continued working. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

At first, Julien was wildly disoriented. Taking in the sterile room, then the ceiling above made him wonder if for a moment he’d… died. Again. But it was the searing pain in his side that brought him back to reality. Where had he been last…? Right, he’d been in some dingy bedroom of a man he didn’t know, who started stitching him up. This environment was the complete opposite of where he’d been before, and the man currently tending to his wound appeared less… annoyed than the first one. He didn’t recognize him either, but perhaps that was a good thing. As soon as he regained the ability to speak, he got to work thanking the seemingly kind stranger. Wait. Was he restrained? "Please don't thank me." Rakin said as he worked, tying off a well placed knot. "I just can't have you dying this early. We need you to participate." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Julien blinked. “Huh? Apologies, but I have no idea what you’re talking about. You’re helping me out a lot, so uh… I’m really thankful.” he tried shrugging, but to no avail. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

“…Me? And a… tournament?” Julien replied in disbelief. It was like winning the lottery… of weird. “I uh… before you ‘brought me here’, I was bleeding out. "Mm. Well, all those stitches he did came out while you were getting transported here. When you get to your side of the Maze, you should find a man named Agustín, he'll be able to finish patching you up." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

"My teleportation is quite.. Hard to control and aggressive. Especially from so far away." Rakin said, putting in the final stitch and cut the thread. "That should keep you alive for the next hour or so. But yes, Agustín will help you more." Rakin stepped back away from him, not bothering to lower his chains so his wrists could take a break. @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“Ah, I wish I could say I understand,” Julien replied, raising an eyebrow slightly. “Was it really that vital you bring me here? This… maze?… tournament…? must really be that important for you to have to kidnap me, chain me up, and stitch up my open wound. And I don’t even know your name…” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Julien’s eyes widened. “I don’t know anything about it!” it was the first time since he’d woken up that he’d raised his voice, his startled state causing his to thrash about in his chains for a few moments. He eventually relaxed again, and hung his head. “Sorry… I… I don’t understand why someone would actively seek me out… for that. Practically everyone- save that weird red eyed man that was tending to my wound- have no clue that I’m still kicking.” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"My master apparently knows. And they found it interesting." Rakin said. "We are trying to revive an extinct species. Knowing what happened in your case may help us out significantly.." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

"Using everyone's bodies and powers, and the genetic information stored within my master, we will be able to bring back the Pilarians. Since you are a terran, you probably don't know much about that, but.. If you did know, you would probably be quite frigthtened of the concept." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“I feel like I should be frightened,” Julien said flatly, letting himself hang limp in his chains. Whatever was happening seemed… sinister? Honestly, he had no clue. At least the man explaining all this to him had stitched him up… …Right? “So we’re being forced to compete in a game to your master’s discretion?” had he heard that right. “Is there anything in for us… the competitors?” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Basically, yes." Rakin nodded. "As of right now, the only thing you gain is getting to live longer, and if you win, you get to take a hands-on role during the resurrection.. Though I've been trying to tell my master getting to return home alive would be a more desirable reward for the winner. They do not seem to agree." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

Julien’s eyes widened. “You’re killing everyone that doesn’t win? None of us even chose to be here!” he began to struggle once more, this time more violent than usual, not thrashing back and forth.” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"We are throwing them out in to space, where they will promptly freeze or suffocate. It will be swift." Rakin said. "Without powers, I do not see you lasting long, but my master may wish to keep you around longer to figure out how you were revived." @Morgan | Calamity + Julien

“What??” Julien’s breath caught in his throat. “That’s not…” he trailed off as he promptly ran out of energy. “I’ll do whatever your master wants and find out whatever they want to know, just… please… I want to keep living…” maybe pleasing would get him somewhere. Julien sighed and shook his head. “I guess not. I suppose the next step is to just… experience this tournament, right? You’re not the one running this, so I suppose I can’t fault you, lest you want to be yelled at more for who knows how long- though you look very tired, and I’m starting to lose my voice.” @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Thank you. I wish you luck during the rest of this event." Rakin said and stepped forward toward Julien again.
