Rakin stood safely behind Calamity, his right arm shaking as he charged up a large lightning bolt. He dove out from behind the pink demon and shot the charge out at Celena. It cracked across the room, and collided right with her chest. Her heart faltered for a moment, but managed to get back on track. When the bolt of lightning struck her, Celena's vision entirely went black. Her body seized up as her muscles spasmed before she dropped to the floor. Her hearing came back to her, and when it did, she heard screaming. It took her a second to realize that she was the one who was screaming. Celena took in a painful gasp of air as her heartbeat steadied itself. Her breathing remained ragged as she curled up upon herself, kneeling and wrapping her arms around her burned chest. With her head bowed, no one would be able to see the glow to her eyes that began to appear..

Nathan braced himself for impact when he saw Rakin lunge out- only to watch the lightning in his hands bolt right past him. And right at Zora. "ZORA!" Nathan bellowed, immediately taking off. Fuck those guys- fuck that narc, that traitor, that cheat- and fuck Rakin, most of all! Cheating, murderous, sneak! He skidded to his knees nearby Zora, shaking her shoulders in some attempt to rouse her, to pull her to her feet, to get her up and moving again- something, anything! Celena tried to speak, but she was too detached from her body to speak back. Everything hurt, everything hurt. With her head so close to the floor, she could see space. She'd be returning there. It would happen soon, so soon. The void was calling, calling, calling- The hands on her shoulders felt familiar. "Come on, Z, get up," A familiar voice rang throughout her ears. "Come on, come on, kid, you got this. Come on." Cole. Her primo. Her big cousin. She loved him. No, these hands were different. These hands weren't as big or calloused as Cole's hands. These hands were different. Nathan. Right, Nathan. Zora couldn't get up. "I-I won't-" She rasped out. The taste of copper was slick in her mouth as she spoke. Everything hurt. "I-I'd rather die- I'd- I'd- Hnngnn,,.." Her voice trailed off into a whine. Suddenly, there was *fire inside of Zora. No, she, she knew this feeling. This feeling. Her veins began to glow as the light spread throughout her body. Pooling in the center of her chest, power began to form. Light. Too much of it. A desperate one time hit. Nathan was too close, she couldn't- A scream escaped Zora as she arched her back and stared into the ceiling. Light shot from her eyes and her mouth as she let out an agonized scream. Then, from the center of her chest, there was a pure white explosion. White, hot light erupted from the girl, entirely drowning the arena in its burning glow. Rakin dove behind Calamity, shielding himself from the brunt of the impact. That didn't stop the reflection off of the wall from bouncing the light right back at him. "Urgh- shit-" Rakin tried to shield his eyes with his hands, though he could feel the intense light burning away at his skin.

“Don’t worry your pretty little head, I got this,” Calamity kept her wings extended, though it was clear she’d taken a hit. Her tail wrapped smugly around Rakin’s waist as she lifted him up, then ran to Celena. “Alriiiiiiight girlie, that’s enough,” she looked Celena up and down before leaning in close, her hands starting to glow pink. “I looooove a good show like that- but I don’t think everyone else does, and well… I did warn you. What a shame…” she took a step back as her hands glowed brighter and a pink fireball went hurtling towards Celena.

There she was, one second- crying, weeping- and the next, there was nothing but pure, white brightness. Brightness. Bright, holy, vibrant- piercing the dark, the fog, clear and vibrant and right again. Nathan cried out wordlessly, falling backwards onto the ground. He couldn't move. He couldn't move. Burning. Burning. Burning. This bright, stinging pain in his face, his eyes, his arms, his head. Everywhere hurt. He couldn't see either. Flat on his back, Nathan wheezed, wincing in panic as he tried to blink away the bright, stinging light that was currently occupying half of his vision. Dizzy. Wobbly. Couldn't move. Couldn't see. Couldn't hear. Burning, burning, blind. Eating away at his skin, raw, red, burning, white. "Zora," he finaly managed to gasp out- breathless, couldn't breathe, couldn't think. Couldn't see. Couldn't move. Couldn't. "Zora- Zora-" Burning, eating away at him, this gnawing, burning sensation. There, that traitor, only a blur of pink, and a crackling, bright, bright, bright flame of pink hurtling straight for his sister. As fast as the light appeared, it faded away. Zora's body dropped limply to the floor, the light disappearing from her eyes entirely. There wasn't an ounce of strength left in her body. She could hardly find the strength to breathe anymore. Her breathing consisted of little gasps as pain, pain, pain radiated through her body. "Get up, get up, get up." Cole's and Nathan's voices rang together in her brain. Fuck. Nathan. They were too close- "N-Nathan-" Came Zora’s sobbing voice. With the last bit of her strength, she raised a hand to touch them, to heal them, to do something to help her older sibling, but she was too weak, too shaky. "I-I’m s-sorry-" Her fingers had briefly brushed Nathan's when there was suddenly burning that consumed her body. It was different than the burning of her light, this was- Fire. It was a blast that had struck her body and lit her up momentarily, a blast that had enough force to shove her away from Nathan. From her pocket, something slipped out. Beside Nathan was a small wooden dog that Zora had carved out for him. On the underside of the dog, there were the words "To Nat, from Z" since there was little space to work with. Around its neck was part of the black ribbon that she had tied off into a little bow. A gift from a younger sister to an older sibling. Zora skidded across the floor before coming to a halt. The flames remained before going out on their own. Burns covered her body. The stench of burning flesh filled the arena. The girl didn't get up. From what Rakin could discern through his blurry vision and position on Calamity's back, it seemed like Nathan had won.. "N-Nathan- Nathan wins-" Rakin coughed, digging the totem out of his pocket. He remembered when she would laugh, her laughter, chucking strawberries at him, and her voice- bright, like the sun, like the dawn. "I-I'm s-sorry-" Nathan tried to lunge, he really did- but she was already being shoved away from him from the blast of the- the pink thing. Something small was skidding across the ground too- tiny. Small. A little black string- ribon? -tied neatly around it's neck. He lunged for that instead, clutching it in both hands desperately. It was warm with life, with sunlight, with hope. Desperation, even. Rakin was speaking. He was moving. Nathan couldn't seem to tear away his broken, disjointed vision from Zora, his friend, his sister. "G-give her my points!" "I guess that's still in play-" Rakin sighed. "And Celena, do you accept the points?" Obviously, no answer, which just made Rakin groan more. "Is she unconscious, I can't fucking see- WHATEVER!" Rakin grabbed the totem out of his pocket and flailed it around in front of him. "Give it to Celena in the next ten seconds and we'll leave. "NO- No, no, she's- fine- give me that-" Nathan somehow managed to force himself to his feet, grabbing the totem from him with burned, aching palms. Ow. "I don't- how the- whg-" As he staggered his way over to Zora, a thousand thoughts were going through his head. He could take it. He could take it, and win, and he'd live. He'd live. Selfish, cruel thoughts. Selfish, undeserving thoughts. Grasping Zora's hands, he wrapped them, carefully, tenderly, around the life-saving totem. She'd win, and she'd live. She'd live. "Done," Nathan coughed, still kneeling by Zora's still body. His hand was still holding onto her arm, carefully. "Done. She has the totem now. We'll leave." I'll leave. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"If it hadn't been for your own overconfidence, you wouldn't be stuck in this situation either." Rakin hissed and electricity built in his arm. They zapped away, and piece by piece, the floor began to fall away toward Nathan... In moments, the falling tiles would be at him, and he'd fall... @Kipology | Nathan 🏺 + Connie ⚡

Nathan didn't respond to Rakin, still watching Zora's body as they all zapped away. The floor of this fake tv-show began to fall away. He swallowed back the fear that was building in his stomach and managed to shift slightly more onto a tile. It wasn't like he could get up and move elsewhere. Where else was there to go but down? Terrified. He was always terrified of death. He's seen it before, he's gotten used to it before. He thought he was stronger. He certainly was not. He hoped Thanatos was kind. Kinder than he ever was, really. He hoped Jason wouldn't throw out his pottery. He hoped his sisters would be well. "This show sucks," Nathan muttered into enclosed hands, head bowed against his knees. "Always sucked." Was this suicide? No, far from it. As he fell in to space, he began to fall apart and disintegrate into nothingness.. The stream of his essence floated off in some direction.
