Ah, he figured it would be one of them. He still hadn't picked up on the difference between the names he called his moms, but he figured it would be Opal. "Yeah, I can show you." Agustín looked over at Zahara, and she nervously squeezed out of the phone booth past Aldreda. Aldreda also stepped out from the booth, but the noise was loud enough to permeate inside. Agustín stepped in with Kian, and pointed at the handprint. "You need your powers to be activated, and then a keyboard will come up and you can ask for your mom." @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Kian followed behind Agustin like a lost puppy, making sure to pay attention to his explanation with great detail. "O-Okay.. that seems easy enough. Can.. C-Can I make the call now?" He quietly asked, clearly anxious about the prospect. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Yes, you should be able to.. Will you have a hard time controlling your powers during the call?" Agustín asked. "I recently started getting my father's powers, and whenever he sampled your powers he could control it fine.. I might be able to hold the call for you." @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Oh, Kian hadn't even thought about that. Would he be able to control it? Kian seriously doubt he would if he was going to be talking to his mom. "I-I would appreciate the help, uncle Agustin.. I don't want to accidentally hurt you o-or anyone else," Kian nodded. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

".. I didn't really think through how I would get your blood.. Manuel always did it in a pretty controlled space.." Agustín mumbled. There was a medical area here, but did he want to trek all the way across the side to go get some syringes? @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Kian hummed, unsure as well. "D-Do you or your friends there have anything sharp? I-I'll be okay if you cut me a little." @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Uh.. I don't-" Agustín said. "I-i do." Zahara said quietly from outside. She reached in to her coat and pulled out an especially sharp looking kitchen knife. "Oh- wow, okay. Thank you." Agustín took the knife and held it awkwardly in his hand. "You're.. sure this is alright? If you want the call to last the full five minutes I might need a decent amount." @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Kian turned as he heard Zahara speak, giving her a slightly confused, but grateful look. "A-As long as you're okay with drinking straight from my hand.. I-I'll be okay." Kian glanced down at the knife, gulping as he saw how sharp it was. Zahara was just.. carrying that on her?? "You'll heal me a-afterwards, right, uncle Agustin..?" @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Yeah, I'll heal you." Agustín said and positioned the knife over Kian's palm. It made him feel a bit ill to both do this, and then have to drink the blood after. His dad made it look so easy! But he had done it probably thousands of times.. "should I- like- count down..? Or just do it?" @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Kian's hand trembled as Agustin held it and he turned his head away. "J-Just do it, uncle Agustin. Before I-I chicken out-" @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Well now he felt worse about it. But he took in a deep breath and slashed it across Kian's palm. It was a little deeper than he intended, and blood instantly began to flow out from the wound. "Eugh-" Agustín mumbled and quickly moved Kian's hand up over his mouth. He almost gagged when the blood first dripped in to his mouth. It was awful and metallic.. but as he swallowed it, he could feel power surging through his body. A lot of it. Once he could feel power tingling throughout his entire body, he quickly healed Kian's hand and let it go. "Wow- wow- that's different." Agustín mumbled and wiped away some of the blood on his face on to his sleeves. The bottom half of his face was still pretty stained red. @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

The moment he felt the cut, Kian whimpered in pain, but did his best to keep it together. A couple more tears fall from his eyes, but as soon as Agustin healed his cut, a sense of relief washed over him. "O-Okay.. d-did.. is it working? Am.. Am I okay to make the call now?" He asked Agustin, grimacing a little as he saw the blood on his uncle's face. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"I think it's... it's working. Do you care which power I start with? You have a lot- even more than what my dad said you had.." Agustín said. @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Kian shook his head. "Uhm.. y-you can use the less dangerous ones. Don't use the poison o-or explosion one.." Kian replied as he looked back to the handprint. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Okay.. no explosion or poison.." Agustin said. The poison one would probably target his gills, which would instantly kill him.. He closed his eyes, and slowly, blue flowers bloomed in his hair and around his gills. The keyboard appeared in front of Kian. @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Kian glanced at the roses that bloomed in Agustin's hair, his expression immediately softening. Grief.. that was Agustin's most prominent feeling at the moment. Gently, Kian gave Agustin a small hug on his side before turning back to the keyboard. 'Oh it is the other one.' Agustín thought to himself, giving Kian a little hug back with his free arm. The phone rang and rang and rang.. until it connected with Aeva. @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

As the connection was being made, Kian anxiously listened to the tone. What should he say to his mother? If she was still alive, he'd be at the oldest, thirteen. Kian sounded much different than back then.. would she even believe that it was him? What could he say to her? 'Hey, I'm your son and I'm stuck in space'?.. That'd be ridiculous. He didn't really have time to think, as the line was soon connected. Kian's brain froze momentarily, but after a few seconds, finally mustered the courage to speak. There was a moment of hesitance from Aeva. Kian could probably imagine her facial expression; she was perhaps doing that slight squint she always did when she would think deeply on a topic. Right now, her eyes were probably squinted as she tried to process the presence of another voice in her head. ".. Asra, did you hear that voice right now?" Aeva questioned her deity. There was a moment of silence from Aeva as she listened to Asra, who was muted in the call. Tentatively, Aeva reached back out to Kian. "Hello?" @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Even if it was just a few words, actually hearing his mother's voice was surreal. Kian hadn't heard any of his family's voice in centuries. He had almost forgotten what they sounded like. Tears started to bead up in his eyes again and Kian did his best to not sob. "Uhm.. S-Sorry, this is.. uhm.." Kian was drawing a blank. "This is Kian.. I-I don't know if you know me yet, but uhm.." He let out a small nervous chuckle. "But I'm your son.. f-from the future. I just... I-I just wanted to talk to you, mama.." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“Kian? I had just put you to bed,” Aeva sounded confused, yet cautious. “From the future- Asra, is something like that even possible?” Once more, there was silent on the line. Aeva made a quiet hum. “.. Can you prove that you’re my son? Someway, somehow? Can you name an early memory?” @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Kian tightened his grip on the phone, relieved, yet tense to hear his mother question him. "A-An early memory..?" Kian repeated as he thought. "I-I once almost crushed Cansu under my weight when I cuddled with him in my bed once, a-and Asra had to pry him away from me. I cried so much that I passed out," he chuckled softly. "Uhm.. in my room, there's a big stuffed lion and rooster sitting on top of my dresser.. a-and my favorite color is red." @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Things were silent on Aeva’s end once more. Then, she spoke. “H-how is this possible? You really are Kian, you’re my son, but- From the future. Are you safe?” Aeva questioned with concern. “Have you been eating well? Are you- Is everything okay?” @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

As Kian quietly listened to Aeva, the bud of tears in his eyes fell. He couldn't keep them contained anymore. Softly sobbing, Kian's hand trembled as he kept the phone to his ear. "I-I'm.. I'm fine, mama," Kian lied, but continued like he wasn't stuck in space. "I'm e-eating well, yes.. a-and I'm training really hard still. I.." He sniffled. "I-I really miss you.. I miss you a-and mom and Asra and Anastasia.. O-Oki and Kaya... A-Are you guys okay?" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

“Good, good, as long as you’re taking care of yourself, that’s what matters. Have you been sure to get at least eight hours of sleep a night, too? Three meals a day? Don’t forget, snacks in between are important,” Aeva spoke gently to Kian. This might’ve been a future version of her son, but she was still out to take care of him no matter his age. He’d always be her baby boy. “We’re okay, Kian, we’re all okay,” Aeva soothed. “We’re healthy and perfectly safe. Are you okay?” @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

That managed to get a small chuckle out of Kian. Aeva was always so dotting, no wonder he was so spoiled as a child. "M-Mhm, yes, mama.. I'm eating well and sleeping good.. Just busy, is all," Kian reassured her with a soft voice. He could never let her know about what was actually happening. His mother and family didn't need to be stressed for his sake, hundreds of years later. "Y-Yup.. just fine, mama. I really, really, just wanted to speak to you a-again.. that's all," Kian said with a slightly shaky breath. "..I-Is Asra there with you too?" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"Be sure to continue to take care of yourself, even when things get busy and hectic," Aeva hummed. "Asra's with me in person right now. Are you able to hear her in my mind as well? She's been talking a bit, so I'm not sure if you've been able to hear her." @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

"Y-Yeah, yes.. I-I'll try, mama.." Kian continued to reassure. "I-I don't have a lot of time left on the call, I don't think, b-but I haven't been hearing her. I can only hear you. C-Can she do that mind link talk thing..? Maybe I can hear her then?" @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

Kian listened for a few seconds in silence. "N-No.. I don't hear anything. Well, that's o-okay. P-Please tell Asra that I miss her too.. a-and that I'll bring her some fish from Japan when I can. Oh.. s-she probably hasn't had any from there yet, but I promise she'll like it a lot when I do," Kian weakly chuckled. "Uhm.. H-How are you feeling now, mama..? Are you... doing okay? Do you and mother still go out together?" Kian then asked. He remembered Aeva had slowly stopped going outside after a while, too weak to really move even with Opal's support. She'd spend most of her time in the throne room with him or his sisters. Kian was trying to see how close Aeva was to the end. @Vanessa| Sovran+Zora+Cansu

"That's a shame, I wish you were able to hear her," Aeva frowned. She then gave a small giggle. "Asra's very pleased to know that you're thinking of her. She's eager to try that fish from Japan in the coming years." "I'm doing well, Kian," Aeva smiled. "Your mother and I do go out often, though we are sure to spend plenty of time with you and your sisters." @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Kian wiped at his tears, intently listening to every word Aeva said. It made his chest warm to hear her again. To hear her genuine laugh and to know she's okay. His fond memories of his loving mother still remained clear in his head as she spoke, and it was difficult to not think this was his mother. "I w-wish I could too.. but that's okay. C-Cansu and I plan to visit her, so I'll see her again soon," Kian nodded. Another wave of relief washed over Kian and the tight grip he had on the phone finally loosened. "I'm.. I'm s-so glad to hear that, mama.. Make sure you have a-a lot of fun with mother during then, okay? My time is almost out on the phone, b-but... I-I'm so glad I got to talk to you, mama. "She'll be happy to see you. Asra always loves to see you, Kian. Every moment she gets to see you is a moment she treasures, just as I treasure every moment with you," Aeva hummed. Somehow, it seemes no matter the universe, no matter the time or place, Aeva always somehow knew how to make Kian feel loved. His eyes watered and his cries became a bit harder to contain to just mere whimpers. The boy leaned his head against Agustin, needing a physical support. "I-I'll be so, so happy to see her too. I know y-you'll consider every moment valuable. I-I'm sorry for being so selfish all the time, mama.." Kian cried. "Asra.. P-Please, Asra.. protect mama. You're her strength. Don't-" Beep. Beep. Agustín hugged him back the best he could with one hand still on the hand print. As soon as the line went dead, Agustín moved his hand off so he could hug Kian with both arms, tight. Even more blue roses had bloomed in his hair, but he said nothing. @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

When the line died, Kian dropped the phone and broke down completely. He held Agustin like a life line, burying and muffling his cries against his uncle's chest. He didn't know why he thought it'd be a good idea to talk his mom. Kian knew it would only make him feel worse, especially after watching Jymaiyri's match, but he had done it anyways. Kian cried for a while, until finally settling down into small hiccups and shivers. He felt utterly exhausted and wanted nothing but to go home at this point. He sniffled, keeping his gaze away from his uncle. "..T-Thank you, uncle Agustin," Kian quietly mumbled. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Agustín rubbed his back a little as he cried, entirely unsure of what to do besides that. The roses in his hair were slowly dying, petals falling away to the floor of the phone booth. "Is that.. the only call you wanted to make..?" @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge "It's no problem, Kian

The prince quietly thought for a few seconds, before nodding. "Y-Yes.. I don't.. I don't think I'll be okay calling anyone else r-right now.." Kian admitted. Of course he wanted to talk to so many more people... but he knew better. "Did.. d-did you want to call anyone else, uncle Agustin? Y-You can use one of my powers again. "I.. Have used my two powers already. To call my father and Sir Lor.. but I would like to call Viktor, to tell him that Moses i-isn't going to be coming home with us, most likely.." Agustín sighed. Kian grimaced a little at the idea of having to be cut again, but quickly tried to hide it. "I-It's okay.. I can handle it," he nodded, but still tightly held Agustin. "Viktor.. I-I remember him. "I'm not sure if the one I'm intending to call will be different or not.." Agustín said. "I've never talked to him." He slowly took out the knife again, which he had thankfully wiped off before sticking in his pocket. "You're.. Sure?" @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Kian took a small step back from Agustin, just to give his uncle some room to move. "M-Mhm.. I-It only hurt for a second so.. Yeah," he nodded and held his hand out again. "T-Tell Viktor I said hi." @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"I'll try to not make it as deep this time.." Agustín nodded and quickly made the cut again. He was even quicker to drink it and heal the wound this time. Three cards appeared in between them. Agustín was pretty sure he didn't want to flip those. He wasn't even sure if they were for him or Kian.. He dialed in the name Viktor Lor and held it up to his ear. @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Again, Kian winced at the cut, but thankfully, his uncle seemed to perform quicker this time. He watched with slightly widened eyes as he saw the cards, a bit of anxiety starting to building in his chest, but as long as Agustin didn't touch them, it should be okay. He quietly waited as Agustin made his call... . . . It took a moment for the call to connect, but soon, Agustin would be able to hear something that sounded like music. Soft pangs and high tunes played in a short symphony. It was a piano. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

Agustín listened for a few seconds, not wanting to interrupt, before deciding that it would be best to not waste his time. "Viktor?" Agustín asked. @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

The keys to the piano slammed down as Viktor heard the voice in his head. First his dad, now—? Now who was this? Viktor frowned and looked around the room again, feeling a sense of unease. His mom and stepmom were downstairs still... It had to be the same thing his dad used to call him earlier. "Hello..? Who's this?" He asked. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"I'm Agustín. I was a friend of your father's-" Well, that kind of let the cat out of the bag right away. "H-he called you, right? This is the right Viktor?" @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Viktor's frown deepend as he listened to Agustin. "Yes, he did... what do you mean you 'were' a friend of his?" He asked with a sense of accusation. "Dad doesn't have any friends... where is he? Viktor paused for a moment, a variety of emotions going through his chest. "N-No. No, you're lying," he replied as he gripped a part of his head and hair. "Dad.. D-Dad said he was coming back soon. Agustín winced. "I-I'm sorry, Viktor.. His opponent was a child, he.. let her win. One of them had to die." Agustín said quietly. "He really wanted to come back to you, Viktor. He was so upset that he was losing out on his time with you.. B-but he sacrificed himself. I promise, I'll do anything I can to bring him back to you, b-but it's just.. His nails dug into his scalp now, nearly breaking the skin. This man had to be lying. There's no way his dad would die just because some kid had to win. He'd figure something out! He always did! No, it all had to be wrong. "Y-You.. you.." Viktor held back frustrated tears, trying to not absolutely go off on Agustin. "He better come home. You have to bring him back, y-you hear me? Agustín's grip tightened on the phone as Viktor practically begged for his father to be brought back. What could he do? They'd have to somehow force Rakin to bring back more people but-.. What were the odds they could do that..? ".. I-i'm sorry Viktor, I r-really am. He saved me, but I couldn't.. do anything when he needed saving himself. I'm going to try my best, I promise you. "You better, o-or else!" Viktor huffed, clearly no real bite to his words, but full of denile and grief. He let a few seconds of silence pass them again, just catching his breath as be curled inward on himself. "M-My dad.. did he.. did he have any last words?" "He said... he said he loved you. And he'd find a way to come back to you." Agustin said. A lie, but it would hurt less than saying he hadn't even mentioned his only biological child on his way out. @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Viktor, ignorant to anything and everything, nodded slowly at Agustin's words. "Mm.. O-Okay.. did.. did dad at least go quick? He always said he'd hate to die slowly and painfully.." @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

".. Yes, mostly. He suffocated I-i think.." Agustin could only guess that dying in space felt like suffocating. No need to mention how Moses fell in once, only to be placed back in.. "A-and he was very brave." @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Viktor frowned deeply at that. Suffocation? That didn't sound quick or painless... "..I know he was brave. H-He always is.." Viktor quietly commented. Viktor sniffled once again, moving his glasses on top of his head so he could wipe at the tears starting to build in his eyes. "..Y-You better... dad doesn't have friends, like I said. If you really are.. t-then I'll hold you up to your promise." @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"I promise. Y-you should go talk to your moms. Don't go isolate yourself or anything." Agustín took in a deep breath. "I think I'm running out of time. Pl-please take care of yourself, your father would want you to.." @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

"Y-Yeah, I will.. mom is.. oh my god. Mom is gonna freak out.." Viktor commented and started pacing around the room. "I don't need a w-weird stranger guy to tell me that—I," the teen sighed, clearly just talking because he was frustrated. "I-I'm sorry.. I mean to say, thank you for calling me to tell me. "Sorry- a-and yes, I'm Agustín.. Ha, you're a lot like your father-" the line went dead, and Agustín just sighed deeply. @Aj | Kian+Moses+Bridge

Once the line went dead, Kian peered up at his uncle with a sympathetic, but curious look. He gently hugged Agustin's side again and leaned his head onto his shoulder. "I-It's going to be okay, uncle Agustin... If Rakin can bring people back, t-there's a chance Sir Lor can be brought back too," he reassured. "...T-Though, I didn't know you and Sir Lor were friends? ".. I'm not sure how we could possibly convince Rakin to bring anyone else back, even by force.." Agustín sighed. "But me and Moses have been friends for.. a little while. Kian looked up at Agustin with round eyes, clearly surprised by his reply. "R-Really..? Wow.. This is the first time you've talked about a friend before, uncle Agustin.. I-It really sucks Sir Lor is.. gone.." He frowned. "W-We'll get him back—Everyone else too. It might be hard, but.. we have to try. ... Wow he and Moses really were similarly isolated. "Yes I.. I really hope to get him back. Watching his fight was difficult.." Agustin sighed. Kian slowly nodded. "Y-Yeah.. I saw his fight too with Maki. They.. t-they didn't handle the fight very well either. I couldn't do anything to help them.." He said with a soft voice. "A-And I know Sir Lor isn't a knight here. I could tell by the way he looked, but it's a little hard to really.. uhm, not call him that. Force of habit..." Kian explained. Oh, Agustin had called Sir Moses back home already? Huh.. okay. "I see.. W-Well, I'm sure you guys would get along, maybe.. But I understand it's not exactly the same. He's not really your friend, in a way.." Kian nodded. @Mads|Madison📱+Aldreda🔥+NPCS👽

"Yes, exactly.." Though that did raise some questions. If he and Moses wanted to keep hanging out, he'd have to either keep the compass or move to his universe... If only one of them could keep the compass, a lot of people would be left without a way to contact their new families.
